I am very normal about traditionally romantic things being viewed through a platonic lens
#this can extend to a lot of things#but currently I am thinking about kissing#I do that a lot. don't I#I think it's because the Kissing Scene is the ultimate climax of most romance movies. it's like the Ultimate Romance Move#I love seeing it for platonic dynamics I love it so much#get platonicized *zap*#oh my GOD just. Thomas and Minho. kissing >_<#Minho limps out of the MedTent and an extremely worried Thomas is sitting outside lost in a craze of panic#Minho can't even get a quip out before Thomas just shoots up and grabs him. hugs him tight#it's so abrupt all the air rushes out of Minho and there's nothing to do but hug back#and just when enough wind comes back that Minho wants to make a witty comment. Thomas pulls away and kisses him dead on the lips#ohhhhh my GOD#it's my personal headcanon that the Gladers kissed platonically back in the Maze#which Thomas was never a part of because he was there for like. 5 days#so during Safe Haven the remaining Gladers have to teach him#O-O#Minho's so used to kissing his friends and Thomas is just barely getting used to it that it takes him off-guard every single time#and now Minho's the one to be flabbergasted as Thomas kisses him no hesitation.#that's HIS way to fluster his best friend and now it's being used on him 10x more effectively
