4: Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

fish :( i love fish so so much and i've been wanting to draw my favorites, but there aren't a whole lot of good resources for learning to draw them compared to humans + more common animals, plus they're so different structurally from mammals that i can't use my usual trick of drawing a human but with the bones wiggled around, like with dogs or cats 😭

i did try studying arowanas yesterday though and i've seen a couple artists that draw very nice fish that i've been taking inspiration from 🥺🥺

6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)

not..entirely sure what this question means? but i guess maybe nolo pasaro hot wheels who i basically know how to draw from pure muscle memory at this point 😔 i think i have accidentally nolo-ified a few characters without realizing until halfway through the image, namely tighnari since he doesn't really have much of a facial structure for me to work with in canon.

7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate

palette knife oil paintings, specifically the impressionist ones. painting in general is just way too time consuming and messy to be enjoyable for me (even digitally, minus the messy part), but you could sit me in front of a nice oil painting and i could stare at it for hours 🥺 i just find it amazing when people have such a thorough understanding of how to use color that they can make such clear and recognizable images with just!! splotches????

29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically

genshin, 100% genshin. the game is fun and the character designs are (for the most part) down right gorgeous, but anime art styles + styles where every character looks exactly the same do nothing for me. plus the designs are complicated as hell, so even the characters i do like aren't very fun to draw 😭 i think a big reason i've even stuck with it as much as i have is cuz it's one of the few things i enjoy where i can get any semblance of regular chinese practice lol.

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

honestly not sure?? i have a lot that i think are overrated; most of the time my art gets more notes than i was expecting 😭 (looking directly at that stupid mikey snack comic), but underrated...

i guess maybe this leo pic? it has less notes than a lot of other ones i've posted, but i am very proud of the composition + symbolism in it 🥺 it still got quite a bit of love tho which i'm grateful for 😊

“I would never encourage random people to do that and anyway I didn’t say anything about kidnapping. I had intended it to be like an outing. Where you relax with someone you like for a day or two. My intentions were good, it just got a little muddled by the time it reached you is all. Are you mad?”
