im making a conscious effort to focus on everything i loved abt s2 to not dwell on how much they fucked over wesper
#listen i am GLAD that the show is different from the books im all for the new perspective and plotlimes#like i wanna make that absolutely clear im not some whiny book purist i love the changes a lot#and the actors are doing an amazing job as jesper and wylan i couldnt be happier with them#but they were not afforded the same level of development as the other pairings#like not even a single season (of only 8 episodes anyway) and their first meeting was off screen etc etc#you can understand what i mean even without me going on and on abt it#and no the 'the speedrun is good bc of the threat of cancellation' take is not a compelling defense to me#but anyway i did scream bc of the last scene and bc like i said i like the decisions to change stuff for the show#im very excited to see how they do this storyline now that itll be mostly new stuff (i assume bc so much of soc and ck#was already covered) and im willing to give them a chance to develop them better in the next season
