struggled and failed to get the correct temperature to attempt properly brewing the fancy new tea my aunt sent me and upon drinking it (the failure made it taste like mild leaf water) I did end up sitting there thinking about Zuko fucking up tea

#its kenyan purple orthodox tea (note it does not make a purple tea - the leaves on the plants are purpleish) and i did not have the water #hot enough bc like its supposed to be brewed with cooler water than BOILING boiling and i turned my kettle off when it was barely boiling so #then waiting a minute for the water to be less hot as the packet instructed meant that it was TOO less hot and did not brew #so then i took the tea bag out and microwaved the mug and then put the tea bag back in but thats not the same #i know what to do to try better next time #i am NOT a tea snob i usually drink strong black tea with milk and sugar and i am not picky but i was TRYING to be fancy #and literally thinking about Uncle Iroh bc i was like OKAY we're gonna actually look up brewing instructions!!! and then beefed it #it was still good!! just like not at its best
