i was reading ur "abridged nhl history" series for offside and id like to say that im having a great time with it. some of it is stuff i already knew, but theres a lot of bits and pieces about different eras that i had no idea about before reading. one thing that kept nagging at me was how similar a lot of it was to some eras in woho history, just offset by a few decades. like, the way you described the competition between the wha and nhl is almost 1:1 with the competition between the pwhpa and phf! i dont have much of a point with this beyond noting the cyclical nature of sports. anyway thats all, have a good one

thank you so much!! really nice to read things like this. and YES as long as there are sports there will be competing sports leagues ☝️ (this is also why, for ex, MLB has the "national league" and "american league" - they were originally formed as competitors and have only technically both been in the same league since 1999!!)
