#its so fucking annoying#kon being gay makes more sense to me than anything else#primarily BECAUSE he seems to suffer from comphet#and seems specifically NOT really attracted to women and just acting out the idea that he's supposed to be#heres a tip!!! if he was bi and into women he wouldnt have that fucking problem!!!#because hed be attracted to them!!!#the idea that hes GAY adds a lot of depth to his early (predatory) dating history and the followup comphet relationships#he dated some of the worst women alive bc they groomed him and he didnt have anyone protecting him#and then proceeded to flirt with only lesbians and Extremely Safe Teammate Women who put him on a pedestal (sorry cassie)#(i mean i also think cassie likes girls and might be a lesbian but shes more borderline than obviously-lesbian-cass-cain) and nat...#like im sorry but its really obvious to read that as comphet and a gay csa victim trying to stay safe and struggling to accept himself#especially since he also wrestles with the masculinity expected of him#you can be gay and masculine and its so goddamn annoying that fandom cant grasp that#but i AM interested in kon truly trying to grasp that#i think if anything he might be overcompensating with masculinity in his comphet era specifically because#he was more frequently in vulnerable positions with t*na and kn*ckout.#and therefore wouldnt really want to be vulnerable in relationships after that. and so put on the strong stoic masculine aspect#even though thats never really been who he is#(kon has always cried easily; kon has always liked to be silly and goofy; kon has always had a deep emotional well and empathy for others)#hes just literally always had shit going on in his life preventing him from coming to grips with who he is and who he could trust/love#grooming. friends dying. homelessness. new family. dying. coming back. lost in space. new universe.#when was he supposed to learn how to learn how to be vulnerable to love again? :(#also VERY importantly in the post above:#tim at least has some compelling female love interests that were healthy#what the fuck do people care about kon's relationships with women for???#what are you trying to defend? jesus christ#his relationship with cassie was the longest and healthiest but there was zero chemistry and work better as friends#like are you defending casskon? tana and kon? (ew) KNOCKOUT and kon??? (even bigger ew)#what is the point of being upset that he might be gay and not bi?? what are you trying to defend and leave him open to????#just let him realize he's gay and only likes boys. jesus. (via @comphetkoncass)
YOU GET IT.
tbh i do think regularly abt how funny (read: infuriating) it is that fandom loves both homophobia and biphobia (ft. misogyny) so much. like people diminishing tim's female love interests bc clearly the male one is more important/more real, but then turning around to be SO averse to the idea of kon being gay and not bi. what's up with that. is it that you all think only twinky guys can be gay and that only gay men are twinks or something? (like tim isnt even a twink lmao that man has been working out daily since he was 13 but. you know.) like every time ive posted abt the idea of kon being gay ive gotten people being SO fucking annoying in my notes. is it that you guys can't handle the idea of a superman-shaped guy being gay because clearly all gay men have to be dainty and effeminate? hmm. and therefore he HAS to be bi as a default option to keep him shippable? (as if thats not also like. such a shitty way to treat bisexuality.) hmmm... fascinating.
#kon/cassie is the biggest gay/lesbian solidarity of ''the feeling was friendship but they were both a lil confused'' to me#he's LITERALLY the boy from the posters on her bedroom wall. and we Know he projected his feelings of protectiveness and helplessness#after tana's death (and the awful way he was blamed for it??) onto her bc they Talked about it.#also their breakup was incredibly gay for both of them. they broke up and cassie was Immediately all over kiran#and kon was all. ''haha tim i missed you being the man with the plan'' ok gayass#but yeah. the thing about kon is that he has simply Never had a compelling relationship with a woman#its a grooming 2x combo followed by safe comp het and interspersed with like. a couple of dates with lesbians (cass and nat).#he is NOT beating the allegations (of fabricating attraction to women because he assumes he has to)#kon

Some Samet Stories
Hooray for the Big Fourās first real travel!! Thanks to Thailandās longest holiday of the year, weāre able to pursue this trip. (Happy Songkran, btw!) Inah, Kuth, Cy and I spent the holiday away from Khao San Road, for the first time. See where a simple itinerary can bring us! :D
Since itās a holiday, it wasnāt easy to catch the mode of transport we initially planned. Instead of bus, we took a van from Ekkamai Bus Terminal to Rayong (ticket for 140 baht per pax).
We left before 9 AM. There were few stops on a checkpoint (surprisingly they provided light snacks) and a gas station. We dropped at Rayong Bus Station 2 around 12 NN. Took 2 more songtew transfers (15 & 25 baht respectively) til we reached Ban Phe Pier. Travel via songtew took almost 1.5 hrs.
We left Ban Phe at 2 PM riding a ferry boat which costs 100 THB for a roundtrip ticket. After 45 minutes, we finally reached the island. Ugghh finally, after almost 6 hours! We were transferred to a songtew to reach the beach we selected (Had Sai Kaew). Since Koh Samet is considered a national park, there is an environmental fee collected upon entrance. 200 baht is collected from foreigners while 40 baht from Thai citizens. (Dual pricing sucks :-/) Itās a separate fee for pier maintenance (20 baht). Funny how our songtew driver told us to pretend as Thai natives so we wonāt be charged 200. When the officer was collecting money, we werenāt speaking at all. Just said āKob khun kaā (Thank you) at the end. Hahaha! Buti nalang, Kon Philippine look same same like Kon Thai. Lels
Being back here in Koh Samet purely reminds me of my MBA friends when we used to conduct a research assignment. (Youāll see my post about it HERE.) Glad to be back for leisure purposes this time ;) I have more time to feel the powdery white sand between my toes, and even grab a handful of it then slowly release it from my palm and fingers.Ā
We had our room secured 2 days before arrival. Two of us (with Inah) stayed in Miss Tim House for 1,500 per night. Itās pretty small provided with a double bed, fan, fridge and bathroom. The location wasnāt so close to the beach (800 m away). Price is still a bit expensive for the facilities provided, but hey, itās a holiday man. Grab it! :D
We went out and got the ābeach feelsā at past 3 PM. I really wanted to try kayaking but Hat Sai Kaew doesnāt offer much of that kind of activity, sadly :( You wonāt see a lot of kayak boats, or even banana boats, scattered. Itās Jetski thatās all around, plus the swan-shaped inflatable lifesavers. I guess kayaking is offered more on private beaches. We consumed our time swimming, picture-taking, and forming sand castle (which was a total fail).
When the sun set, we immediately inquired where to watch fire dance show. A seller pointed us to Ploy Talay Restaurant which was jampacked with tourists that time. There were roughly a hundred mini tables (Nippon style seating) and I cannot imagine how they manage the workflow here. Thereās just tooooo manyyyy customers. Extra patience needed to be seated.
Right after we placed our orders, the incredible show took place.
That. Was. Jaw. Dropping. I swear.
It was only my second time watching a fire dance show but Iām certain this is one of the bests anywhere. Around 7 or 8 well-built men performed the stunning dance in a platform in front of the restaurant. They went one by one at first, then as a pair, then as a group. They used different equipment for to showcase the fire as they moved with the music. The most spectacular part is when they began dancing by the beach shore. They needed bigger space since the ignition is like of fireworks this time. Oh how nice it looks from afar! Amazing talent! They truly deserve the loud applause after the show.
After our family service type of dinner (which cost me 155 baht, not so worthy, Iām still gutom after eating :-/), we went to a bar and (my friends) drink.
I ate chicken nuggets priced 120 baht. We spent the whole night playing truth or dare. And the rest was history. :P Went back to our inn and finally ending the long day at around 2 AM.
We started the next day checking out from the inn. Grabbed mama noodles (20 baht) and fruit shake (60 baht) for breakfast, and weāre all set for island hopping tour (600 baht).
Praise God for a great weather! The stars on the previous night were hints that this would be real. We had time to take lots of pictures before we start.
Past 11 AM when our speedboat fetched us to start the tour. First island we docked at was Koh Thalu where we did snorkeling. The gears are provided, just have your own way of sanitation before use. LOL. Weāre allowed to snorkel for not more than 50 m away from the shore. Enough to see corals up close. We spent quite long time as we also had our lunch there.Ā
Second island was Koh Khang Khao where we did the same activity. This time, weāre on the middle of the sea and I had to keep my legs kicking underwater. The life vest really helped a lot, but how I still wish I can swim without it. Anyhow, the experience on this stop was one of my favorites! Fishes have more variants and were bigger compared to first one. I wonāt mind floating in one area for minutes and just stare at how fishes march along. Theyāre amazing!
After this island, we went to Koh Khudi. It was quite small but some parts of it are very instagrammable. There were few swings nicely hanging on trees. On one side there was a formation of black rocks which seemed to be an area flowed by volcanoās lava on the past.
The rest of the trip was spent for endless picture-taking and nature appreciation. What a wonderful world we have! Then, we headed back to Koh Samet at exact time we expected, 5 PM.
We had a quick shower (paid 40 baht) then took songtew (25 baht this time) to bring us back to Samed Port. As it is Songkran season, there was no excuse not to be splashed even if you are inside a moving vehicle. We got our shirts totally wet from that short ride. But hey, no complaining cozĀ āCulture nila yun ehā :D
Now hereās the epic part. Itās past 6 PM and weāre looking for ferry boat to leave Koh Samet. UN-FOR-TU-NATE-LY, we missed the last ferry trip which is scheduled at 5:30 PM. Weāre a bit stuck since we have no plans of staying an extra night. We just wanna go home. Haha. Luckily, we were permitted to join a ferry loaded with cargo at 7:30 PM. After 45 minutes, we reached mainland Rayong.
Now hereās another epic story. Itās past 8 PM and thereās no van nor bus going back to Bangkok. Hahaha! We had no choice but to look for the nearest hostel and take a rest. We found I Na Seaview where we paid 250 baht for that night. Room given to us was supposedly a mixed-dorm type good for 8 persons. It ended up as a private room for 4 of us. :D We got a pretty good sleep as we were all lights out before 9:30 PM.
The next day has arrived. We checked out at 7:30 AM, immediately bought a van ticket (200 baht) to bring us back to Bangkok, and grabbed a breakfast on a noodle shop.
It was very surprising that the travel time took almost 3.5 hours only. Compare it to nearly 6 hour trip going there! Even more convenient because we were allowed to be dropped on a stop nearer to our place, not on the main bus terminal. We reached home safe and sound with overflowing happy beach memories.
And that ends some of my Samet stories. Yaaay! :) There were far mooooore happenings which are really hard to squeeze in this single post. Hope you did enjoy reading as much as I did storytelling. :)
XO from the island girl,
Hermae

Youād think Kon would bristle at even a hint of commanding presence but noooo now itās all āyou know your voice gets deeperā this and āI missed you being the man with the planā that. I see you, boy
yeah i guess the misconception of kon as a character with authority issues comes from like... yja or something maybe? idek. early like Early yj kon gets a lil bitchy about feeling undermined but he gets over that sooo fast. he likes being a team player!! <3 particularly if tim is the one telling him what to do!!!! š³š„° haha bro its so sexy when you take charge. uh. what? who said that
