Like everything in this life, once again, this wasn't planned XD. I saw on Twitter that there was a lot of buzz about the latest update of VS Gorefield, but I hadn't had the time to play it. But two days ago, I finally got around to doing it, and I truly have no words to describe how good CATaclysm is. The art is beautiful, the song is orgasmic, and playing it feels like a real battle against a boss fight; I would describe it as a fight where hope persists only to be defeated in the end. A very, very good song (And Nermal is the best Shonen protagonist). My opinion of the mod is that it's entertaining, it's not one of my favorites, but the work and care put into it are admirable... and CATaclysm is in the top 3 best fan boss fights of FNF, right there with All Stars, Finale and Athazagoraphobia.
My favorite part is the end... DIOS, que bien suena esa seccion final.

I have 6 sides - Cartoon and Comic Edition - Meme - Crossover - Donald Duck and The Three Caballeros, Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Woody Woodpecker, Sponge Bob Squarepants, Tom and Jerry and Garfield - My version
I haven't drawn for a long time again, and now I'm drawing it, this time with other cartoon characters and comic book characters that I also loved to watch and read when I was little, and now I love to enjoy it. This time I did a different meme, and what I drew is similar to six of my favorite characters as my meme, otherwise this is more current on TikTok so you can see more here: https://www.tiktok.com/discover/i-have-six-sides-template
As my template from where I got it, of course. Not only do I draw Disney ducks, I drew other characters that I love that I enjoyed as a little boy, and I still enjoy now, so I decided to draw my other favorite characters from other franchises. I hope you recognize them.
The first is certainly the Three Caballeros (Donald Duck, Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles) together with Donald's nephews (Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck) and Aracuan Bird as my favorite characters from the Duckverse (the universe of Donald Duck, as the best part of Disney that I love the most), otherwise I drew as a redraw from The Legend of The Three Caballeros poster. The second is the Acme universe, which is the Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons and Animaniacs cartoons in one place, since I feel they share the same universe even though they deviate from the original Looney Tunes. I draw my favorite characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Buster Bunny and Plucky Duck (Bugs and Daffy's students) and the brothers Yakko and Wakko Warner. The third is Woody Woodpecker with his famous laugh, along with his nephew Knothead and niece Splinter plus his rival and neighbor Wally Walrus and friend Andy Panda. All these characters were invented by Walter Lantz and belong to Universal.
The fourth one is definitely SpongeBob SquarePants along with Patrick Starfish and Squidward Tentacles and drawn as a redraw from one of my favorite episodes "Idiot Box" where SpongeBob shows a rainbow as IMAGINATION! All these characters were invented by Stephen Hillenburg and this year SpongeBob had its 25th anniversary. The fifth cartoon is definitely Tom and Jerry, definitely the best golden era cartoon of all time, along with Nibbles (Jerry's nephew) with his dog Spike the Bulldog and his son Tyke. All these characters were invented by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. And finally the sixth drawing showing Garfield the cat eating lasagna, with Odie the dumb dog and Jon Arbuckle, his owner and best friend. All these characters were invented by Jim Davis and last year had its 45th anniversary (on Garfield). Yes, drawn on Monday, the day of the week that Garfield hates.
I hope you like these cartoons and feel free to like and reblog this and feel free to tell which are your favorite cartoons that you enjoyed. Just don't copy these same ideas of mine and these characters without mentioning me. Thank you!

Making Sense of the Last Monday (yes the Garfield horror game)
The Last Monday is a psychological horror that starts with you trying to help Garfield find his house keys. It is free to play on itch.io and if you haven’t checked it out you definitely should.
This game is broken up into numerous sections that are not in chronological order. From my research and analysis of the game, I will be breaking down each section, each POV we play as, and finally structure each section into a somewhat cohesive timeline at the end of the sections analysis to the best of my ability and observations. I have also named each section to remember it easier
There are three characters we play as:
The Stranger
The Kid (the kid will be referred to with he/him pronouns, but ultimately they don’t have a concrete gender stated in the games)
Jon Arbuckle
Section 1: Entering the House
We start the game in an unknown POV of neither the Kid nor Jon. This POV will be deemed the Stranger. We open up with a view of the sun before looking at a saturated colored house in the middle of no where. We are requested by Garfield to help him into his house. We retrieve a garage door opener from the backyard and find the key after Garfield gets up from the porch to stop us from opening the garage door. A small easter egg is found when the garage door opens and a small CD is thrown out before Garfield closes the garage. This CD can be used during Section 2. After grabbing the key you can access the basement. We are instructed by Garfield to paint over symbols that are drawn over the basement. There is a small black cage and a notepad filled with child drawings. This will be important later. The notepad contains a code to open a vault and retrieve a black cat relic before we run up the stairs of the basement chased by an angry Jon Arbuckle. We make it upstairs and spray paint the rest of the symbols before being commanded by a voice to throw the relic into the fire.
Section 2: Chores
The second section we play either as the Kid or John. We are in a bright colorful house. The Entity/Garfield often uses saturated colors and hallucinations to manipulate the Kid, unlike with Jon whom because he is an adult, uses bleak colors. Again, this is up to you, either POV works for this section. We are told to put a lasagna in the oven and a 2-hour timer starts and, in that time, told to pick up some toys. This is also when you can put the CD found in Section 1 into the TV however nothing happens (at least not yet, when putting the CD in you get a secret message in morse code that I'll explain in a section below). (Very disappointing considering there is only one ending to this game as of now) When we are told to pick up the toys, if you notice, every single one of these toys are found in the Kid’s bedroom (explained in Section 3.1). This section I believe is kind of a sick way of making the Kid reliving his capture at the hands of John. Or it could be Garfield taunting Jon of what he did, kidnapping an innocent kid and making him cleanup the child’s toys as a mockery of him. After picking up all the toys and the relic, we see quick glitches of fire that spread throughout the house. Confirming that this takes place after the events of Section 3.1 (explained below) We know John burns down the Kid’s house after kidnapping him. Again this could either be the Kid reliving his capture in a sick way or John being forced to relive his actions he made whilst possessed. After picking up the toys we go to the backyard to dig up things Odie dug into the backyard. We find a ball, a bone, a newspaper clipping about a family murder and a child being missing (this will be important later), and finally a dog corpse. The corpse possibly being the dog you kill during Section 3.1. The house is burst into flames because the lasagna burned, and the section ends. It's important to note that this entire section…didn’t exactly happen. As I’ve stated this is more of a recollection of events that have already happened. To understand this section, you must understand sections 3 and 3.1 as this entire section occurs sometime after those events and is more so a dreamscape like retelling of those events. This does not have an official place on the timeline as I am considering this more so of a dream that The Kid or Jon had. I will place it on the timeline below, but this isn’t a very crucial section to understanding this game, other than the newspaper that is dug up.
Section 3: The House
I want to note that the events of the game don’t play in chronological order, and I will put a short summary of the timeline below. We play as John in this section, who after coming to from the Entity’s possession (Garfield) winds up at the very house the rest of the events of this game will play out. We know we play as John due to the reflection of the bathroom mirror when he cuts out his tongue. Here we pick up gasoline (which will be used to burn down the Kid’s house in Section 3.1), the gun (which the Kid will use and I’ll explain further down this analysis), and a roll of tape (which will be used when kidnapping the kid), and the wire cutters (which are used to uh remove Jon’s tongue and cut the powerline of the Kid’s house). We also find a bloody shovel and can infer that the Entity made John kill the family living in this house while possessed.
Section 3.1: The Kidnapping
In the beginning of this section we play as John, cutting the powerline, killing the dog, and the people in the house. The POV then switches to the Kid and we hide in the closet. Again, all the toys in the Kid’s bedroom are also found in Section 2 when we have to pick them all up. Jon kidnaps the Kid and the scene ends.
Section 3.2: The Symbols
We are now in the POV of the Kid, locked in a cage by John, but not for malicious reasons. John is keeping the Kid in the cage because he is compromised by the Entity, his actions could be puppeteered by it at any given moment, thus keeping him in a cage.  I know we are the Kid because of his cries to ‘go home’ right after the house burning sequence, and also because John leaves cartoons in front of his cage to watch. We ask him questions and ask to go home only for John to not answer (unable to due to his tongue being gone). The Kid consumes the food and drinks the soda provided which was shown to be drugged. We walk through a bright door and pass through numerous symbols. These are the symbols that later on in the game are explained that they’re the only thing repelling the Entity. The Kid attempts to communicate with Jon once more only for him to cry when the Kid speaks. Probably from his guilt, Jon’s guilt for what he’s done is recurring.
Section 4: The Tower
Our POV starts right where we left off from Section 3.s, our POV still the Kid’s and we are watching TV. What is interesting to note is that Garfield only appears when John isn’t around and even refers to John as “his master” even though we know who is really in control. This is where the timeline gets wonky as these sections do not take place in chronological order. I am just explaining each section on a surface level and will sort each section into a somewhat cohesive timeline based on my observations that i am 75% sure is right at the end of my section analysis. In Section 4, John is no longer being controlled by the Entity, it’s presence now moved onto the Kid. This was possibly the reason why the Entity made John kidnap the Kid instead of killing him, a child being much more easier to influence incase John managed to break free. Anyways back to the analysis of this section. Garfield breaks us out of the cage and apologizes on his ‘master’s’ behalf. He instructs us to run up the stairs and grants us something called ‘firepower’ this fire power I believe is the gun John stole in Section 3. Another thing important to note is that, unlike with John, whenever the Entity possess or influences the child, it makes what the Kid is doing seem harmless and fun, the world saturated in color and illusion. Unlike in John’s case with everything bleak. Again fueling the idea that the Kid is much easier to influence and control. We are told to get to through the maze and to the tower and to shoot lasagnas that come after us. When we do make it to the tower, we are snapped back to reality and are in a gas station. We shoot the last stray lasagna before the illusion fully dispels and we see a man dead and the realization that all those lasagnas we shot were all people.  We hear a honk of a horn, who is later confirmed in a later section to be John. Basically, Garfield made the Kid massacre a shit ton of people and disguised it as a game and rides back to John’s house in his car. We wake up in a bed to see Garfield in front of the TV again referring to John as the ‘master’ even though we know he is feigning innocent. We get into John’s garage and read a book with the symbols we in Section 3.2.
Section 5: The Temple
In this POV we are entirely John. We are at a temple and place a familiar cat relic into a box with the symbols shown in Section 3.2, which I will refer to as just the symbols, drawn one the box. The box is sealed and a small ritual is performed that implies John was broken free of the Entity’s control. This section takes place sometime after John was first possessed and perhaps found a way to break free of the mind control. We are never explicitly shown when John was first possessed, but this is possibly the earliest account and this sequence happens before any other section occurs.
Section 5.1: Change of Heart
Sometime after the events of Section 5, John had a change of heart and decided to go back for the Relic with the promise of shared power with the Entity. This is the domino effect of everything that happens in the game. He steals the Relic and drives off before the Entity takes control of his body once more. He comes to after the Entity forces him to murder another family before the flashback ends with John arriving at the house in Section 3.
Section 6: Methods
We are back where 4 left off, back in the Kid’s POV. When we try to leave the garage we are immediately confronted by an angry Garfield who demands to know what is in the garage. The garage has the symbols drawn on the walls, thus is the reason why Garfield is unable to enter. We pass out and then when we leave the garage and enter the house Garfield is no where to be seen. A note from John is on the counter, explaining what is happening. In his note, it explains the Entity who once controlled him is now controlling us and the only way to stop it is at the end of the month when the stars align, until then we must wear the headphones to keep us from listening to the Entity. John warns us to not listen to its lies or illusions and that he is sorry. Obviously he is sorry for killing the Kid’s family and being the one to start this mess in the first place. This is also where we get the confirmation of the symbols being used to protect us from the Entity, with a note on the wall explaining each symbol’s meaning. When wandering in the basement, a note states that if we are overcome by the Entity we will be put into a cage, the same one seen in Section 1. Again this more proof we are in fact the Kid, with John using words like time-out to explain to us the usage of the cage. We go to the bedroom where John sleeps on a futon allowing us the bed. The Kid falls asleep.
Section 7: The Cage
We are back in the Kid’s POV with only ten more days to go until the end of the month. Ten more days until they can defeat the entity. We have the headphones John gave us on listening to music as the we sit down in front of the TV to draw in our notepad. The same notepad that was in the cage of Section 1. We draw about not listening to The Entity, fully trusting John. This happy moment does not last as Garfield/The Entity chastizes us for our mistrust in it, stating that they werent there for the horrible stuff that happened to the kid but John was. They weren’t there when John was at the Kid’s house, or at the gas station, and was the one that freed the Kid from the cage in Section 4. It claims it is our friend and pulls the Kid into another hallucination, beckoning him to come play outside. We are met with another illusion, back at the tower from Section 4, only now we are climbing up it. We fight off bats before the ‘monster’ gets us. We are flashed back to reality to see a scratched up John dragging us back to to the house as we somehow during our hallucination made it outside. The Kid is shown lying down in the cage before waking up and John interrogating us about what we saw before we were possessed, using a notepad. At the end of the interrogation, John advises the Kid to use the blindfold next time we see the Entity or “the Kitty” as the Kid has been calling it.
Section 8: Means To An End
Once again, we are in the Kid’s POV. One more day until the stars a line. One more day until they can defeat the Entity. The music is noticeably gone, meaning we are not wearing the headphones John told us to wear. The scene plays out similar to Section 7, only this time when the Kid goes to draw it is clear he have lost trust in Jon and is possibly too far into the Entity’s influence, with drawings showing mockery of Jon’s warnings and a desire to go outside. On the last page of the notepad there is a code for a vault. The same vault from Section 1. The Entity commands the Kid to go down into the basement, which for the past two sections have been locked due to Jon being down there. However this time, Jon is sleeping in the bedroom and the basement is unlocked. The Kid creeps down the stairs to open the safe, which reveals the relic and we are thrusted back into another hallucination. This hallucination ends with the Kid snapping back to reality, shot by Jon to prevent him from escaping the basement with the relic and going on another possessed induced massacre, thus killing the child, just one day before they could defeat the Entity and be freed.
Section 8.1: Devourer of Stars
We are in Jon’s POV after he killed the Kid. Draping his body in a blanket and putting the child in the garage, the Entity begins to speak to Jon. It tells him that Jon’s killing of the child has unleashed the Entity. It begins monologuing on the uselessness of Jon’s futile efforts to defeat it, stating in this chilling line: “You want to defeat me when the stars align? Then I shall take the stars from you.” The Entity then states that Jon shall see the child soon enough. It is revealed that Jon and the Kid are stuck in a time loop, created by the Entity, to repeat this timeline again and again until, in it’s words: “gets what it wants and until Jon breaks.” What it desires never being said explicitly, and to be honest I’m not very sure what it wants either. So the ugly truth has come to light, that this isn’t even the first time these events played out. The Kid is destined to be taken, corrupted, and killed over and over again with Jon’s efforts never being enough to save the both of them.
Section 9: The Last Monday, Again.
We are back in a POV similar to the start of the game. The saturated house in view, no other house in sight. Only this time, the sun is gone. We are given the same task by Garfield to help him find his key. Only this time, when going to retrieve the garage door opener, it is nowhere to be found. When returning to Garfield he states: “I love playing with my food, don’t you?”
The End Credits
When the credits roll, a morse code is to be heard which reads, “I don’t know who you are, and I don’t know what you know. You’ve been here before, hundreds of times. You’ve returned to me everyday and everyday I must stop you. I’ve tried killing you. I’ve tried keeping you alive. Please forgive me. Sometimes I want to give up, but I fear that if the voice is free (the Entity/Garfield), we will be tortured more than this. Please please forgive me.” (credit: Mak Angeleezy on YT). This is likely Jon to the Kid or in this case, us, since we the player are the Kid. Section 9 is the start to the next time loop or in other words the second timeline
Conclusion
The Last Monday is a psychological horror with Lovecraftian elements. We flip flop between different POVs and different parts of the timeline. We have been through these events hundreds of times over, due to a time loop instilled by the Entity to repeat the last Monday over and over again right when our characters are just shy of victory. There is no happy ending for anyone, and despite this, Jon pursues freedom in each loop. To save us and himself from this forever hell. Something very notable and something to commemorate, even though it is his fault for its beginning. Hopefully someday for my own sanity the creator will make another ending to the game because my god, The Kid is going through it.
Timelines
So…technically there are two timelines or two time loops if you will that this game marks. Each section is set to how I think the events of this game went chronologically.
Time Loop 1
Section 1: Entering the House (this marks the end of this time loop and thrusts us to the beginning of the second time loop aka the loop we play)
Time Loop 2
Section 5: The Temple (Jon rejects the artifact which holds significance to the Entity)
Section 5.1: Change of Heart (Jon comes back to the artifact with the promise of shared power before being controlled and taken to the house)
Section 3: The House (Jon arrives at the house and collects supplies needed to kidnap the Kid)
Section 3.1: The Kidnapping (Jon kills the Kid’s parents and kidnaps him)
Section 2: Chores (a dream or daydream the Kid or Jon might’ve had about the kidnapping)
Section 3.2: The Symbols (Jon keeps the Kid locked up and performs a ritual on him in an attempt to protect him from the Entity)
Section 4: The Tower (Garfield/The Entity frees the Kid and sends him on a possessed, hallucinatory bender that causes him to kill a ton of people before Jon picks him up and takes him back to the house)
Section 6: Methods (After reading a book left for the Kid by Jon, he is told the only they’ll beat the Entity is at the end of the month when the stars align and is instructed a list of ways to keep the Entity at bay from his mind during their time waiting)
Section 7: The Cage (10 more days until the end of the month and the Entity manipulates the Kid into not trusting Jon before being thrust into another hallucination which causes him to escape the house. He is then  being dragged back inside by a battered Jon and kept in a cage until he is himself again)
Section 8: Means To An End (1 more day to go before the end of the month. The Kid is too far gone in the Entity’s manipulation and as instructed by the Entity, goes down to the basement to unlock the relic from the safe. The Kid is thrusted back into another hallucination before being shot by Jon when he attempts to leave the basement with the relic)
Section 8.1: Devourer of Stars (The Entity reveals Jon’s plans for defeating it were futile, revealing the existence of the time loop the Kid and Jon have been in for god knows how long)
Section 9: The Last Monday, Again (marks the end of this time loop and would be the catapult for the next time loop’s beginning)
Idk what’s with my fascination with characters who get mind controlled but yeah, I think about this game every day

lasagna cat is the best arg/YouTube unfiction series and you won’t change my mind no matter how hard you try
what other 15 year old arg dipped off the planet for half a decade only to return with bangers such as: guy talking for an entire hour about how garfield smoking a pipe changed the very fabric of his existence and his views on simply being at all and odie the dog putting a paper bag on his head and becoming a fashion icon before being condemned to hell while bad romance by Lady Gaga blares in the background, concluding in a 5 hour long video in which jon garfield and odie all take calls from anonymous sources telling them the amount of times they’ve ever banged before jon answers himself at the door and transforms the last 10 minutes of the video into this empty yet horrifying and confusing purgatory, in which an older looking jon made to resemble garfield’s creator is haunted by a taxidermied cat, is killed by a nude man skin-painted to resemble garfield in the mountains, before cutting to the aftermath of a girl giving birth in a bathroom in which she drops possibly the hardest monologue in any unfiction series since fucking emh to me about how she bore humanity’s curse in the form of this child, a fate which she will be condemned to for all of eternity, her soul to be swallowed and spat out and swallowed again, before cutting to a shot of the toilet where the baby is wearing a blue button shirt, and the video ends on a completely orange screen, all just to say garfield’s not that funny

I mean, to the best of my memory he's not not an orange lasagna cat. And like, to me any potential furry aspects are less of a turn-off than uh, anything and everything else about him.
But you're right, he's not the orange lasagna cat Garfield from the comic strip and expanded universe of Garfield. To the best of my knowledge he does not live with a dog named Odie or a human named Jon Arbuckle.
no i would fuck garfield the deals warlock. i'd end up selling my soul in the process or some shit but i would
That's absolutely fair. I don't think he's unfuckable. I just think he's probably a more niche sexual interest than the 1,180 (and counting) votes would suggest.

I only wanted to help [L.N]
Hi everyone... so this is my first story. I really hope you like it. English isn't my first language so I will appreciate feedback. I got inspired after watching the latest quadrant video.
summary: You try to help Lando by cleaning his house and you end up in a fight.
word count: 1.2K
warnings: a few bad words, angst, Lando being a dick.
Tumblr media
-Great- I said sarcastically when I arrived at Lando's house and saw everything messy as usual, I took a big breath and checked the time 1:24 pm, I thought about it for a few minutes, if I started now, I could finish cleaning maybe the whole house when he came back from McLaren's HQ, but I also knew that most of the stuff was from Max's moving. I headed to the one person who would tell me if I should do it or not -Max- I said as I knocked on the door lightly. I didn't want to interrupt his stream and have to deal with the rumors of whether I cheated on Lando with his best friend again -what? - I heard him shout and rolled my eyes at his manners - can I come in? - as I finished the sentence the door opened and showed a Max in his pajamas -I need your advice and partly your help- I said carefully, because I knew that the moment I mentioned the word "clean" he was going to close the door directly in my face -about what?- he asked with narrowed eyes and a suspicious tone, I sighed, -listen.... honestly your house is a mess, the entrance is a t-shirt away from exploding and I don't want to mention your streaming room- I said smiling exaggeratedly -and I don't know if you already arranged with Lando about your moving with him or whatever, but you can't continue living this way, we have to fix it- at that moment the word left my mouth he started to close the door but somehow I stopped him- besides you owe me a favor- I said maliciously -or should I remind you Turkey- he rolled his eyes and gave me a dirty look -okay- I let out a little scream of victory -you pick whatever is yours from the pile of clothes downstairs and meanwhile I start with the streaming room- I said cheerfully -you and your mania of perfectionism- he said between teeth when I turned around -I heard you- I shouted while I went down the stairs -besides you should thank me-.
I smiled satisfied to see everything clean and tidy again or for the first time really, Lando's and now Max's house has always had things lying everywhere, you can't walk without seeing where you step, once I almost tripped over one of his helmets. I looked at the clock 9:12 pm. Lando would be here soon -FEWTRELL- I shouted from downstairs -I'M NOT CLEANING ANY MORE- I rolled my eyes -WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR DINNER?- he ran downstairs -are you cooking?- he raised an eyebrow and stared at me -no- I said sarcastically -take it as a thank you for helping me- he thought for a few seconds and gave me the answer I expected -lasagna- he said smiling -okay but you know Lando is going to hate you- I said laughing as I headed to the kitchen - rather Jon is going to hate Lando- he answered me -and that's why Lando is going to hate you- I declare.
I was finishing preparing dinner when I heard the door open and a loud -hi lov... - after that, silence. I left the kitchen happy to see that Lando had already noticed the ¨little¨ change in the house -what do you think...? -my smile disappeared when I looked at his face -is everything ok? did something happen? - I said very worried. Lando closed his eyes for a few seconds and took a breath, I started to get closer, but I stopped as soon as he spoke -what happened here? - he said annoyed -I... I cleaned the house, well me and Max- he huffed angrily when I finished my sentence -and who told you to do that? - he brought his hands to his face with frustration - the place was a mess and I just wanted to help you, I know you are very busy and you are barely at home and when you are you must train or go to the sim or... - I started to explain the reason of my actions but he just let out a sarcastic laugh - so what? now you consider yourself a maid? - he said mockingly - if I wanted MY house cleaned - he emphasized - I would have hired someone, don't you think? - I crossed my arms, now I was annoyed - first of all don't despise the work of the others and you don't have any right to talk to me in that way, it wasn't my intention to bother you, as I was saying before you interrupted me I was just trying to help you - I said trying to keep calm - well I didn't ask for your help, in fact, I didn't even ask you to come here, as usual you just sent me a message letting me know you were here, do you think I wanna have you here all the time - he said raising his voice - besides, who gave you the right to touch my fucking stuff? - he said this time screaming. I looked down and tried to hold back my tears, he is upset, he doesn't actually mean it, I tried to tell myself, I was about to speak when Max appeared -what is going on here, why are you shouting?- he said trying to understand the situation -don't get involved Fewtrell- Lando said in annoyance and ignoring me totally, Max sighed -why don't you try to calm down mate- he said calmly -don't tell me what to do- Lando replied offensively and Max raised his hands -I think I should leave- I said after a few seconds -I think it took you long enough to do it- Lando said without any remorse, I turned to see Max -thanks for the help and... Sorry for not finishing dinner- he gave me a pitiful look and I felt small, I didn't want to give pity to anyone and especially not to my friends- don't worry- he tried to give me a smile and at that Lando cleared his throat. I grabbed my things and went to the door, I looked at Lando one last time then I lowered my gaze -if you actually think so small about me, I don't even know what we are doing together- I said firmly, I noticed on his features how his feelings changed from anger, to fear and finally to regret. But at that precise moment I wasn't interested in it and couldn’t care less about it, so I just left his house.
Lando's pov:
Fuck I thought, I was about to speak when she just shut the door. I debated for a few seconds whether I should follow her or not and when I was about to walk towards the fucking door -you know... I can take your shit because we're friends, but today you crossed a line with her, and I don't know if you can fix it. You should know better than anyone that all your actions have consequences and that you can't blame anybody but yourself if she doesn't want to forgive you- Max said seriously, he gave me a pat on the shoulder and turned around -by the way- he said before leaving -there's lasagna for dinner- he said ironically and I was left alone in the room, with an annoyed friend and probably without a relationship.
-Fantastic job Lando- I murmured to myself.-

I think the showrunners knew they could not deal with both Marco/Belters and Duarte/Laconia/Protomolecule stuff in 6 episodes. So they did just the set up for Duarte - I think we are getting a movie?- and focused on Marco/Belters conflict.
And I am okay with that. They know that the protomolecule stuff build up from season one is important and can’t be dealt with in one episode like how GOT disposed of the White Walkers.
To make the GOT comparison, what they did in the final season would be comparable to Daenerys, Jon, and the rest of the kingdoms uniting against Cersei and the finale being defeating Cersei. And the movie would focus on the Long Night and an united Westeros taking on the White Walkers.
The Expanse did GOT better than GOT. It got the themes right, it got the characters right. There was no subversion of expectations, no unnecessary deaths. There were happy endings, sad endings, bittersweet endings. There were poignant moments. When Naomi pressed that button - that’s a conclusion to a two season arc and we understand her choice and her pain. And she got to do it - not Holden or Amos or Bobbie.
I liked that the show spend time on Naomi and Filip. I liked that Drummer got a big arc this season. As much as I love Amos, I am glad the emotional beats this season were for Naomi and Drummer - they are the characters facing tough choices in a complex conflict that has no easy answers.
We got amazing space battles, Bobbie and Amos being bad-asses.
I loved that Naomi and Amos made up. The talk about Clarissa-Amos being the new Amos-Naomi brought back memories. The new Roci crew eating together mirroring a similar scene in season 2 with Alex cooking Lasagna for everyone. Holden and Naomi just holding hands ❤️ - honestly best TV couple. I noticed Josep and Michio sitting in the front row cheering for Drummer, hope their little polycule got back together.
I liked that this season had a lot of quiet character moments rather than big flashy CGI action scenes. Because for me personally the characters are what makes this show.
Drummer making the points to Avasarala that needs to be made. Equal rights now, no more talking. Drummer just generally being altogether awesome. I wouldn’t mind a spin off of Drummer being the president of the transportation union - and her non stop snark and snide remarks. That would make for a great show! They can also include her polycule - didn’t Drummer want to build things with them?
Looking forward  to the movie and the resolution of the Protomolecule/Duarte conflict and how they are going to wind that up. But for now, I am happy.

disclaimer: almost all of this is from "what the internet did to garfield" which was the video i watched to send me down this rabbit hole in the first place, there is also some supplementary information from "how i rewrote the history of garfield"
disclaimer 2: i'm not getting into lasagna cat. i'm not addressing that. we aren't talking about it.
so, when exploring how this horror garfield community started, it's important to look at how garfield started. actually, we need to go back before garfield started.
because this story didn't start with garfield. it started with jon arbuckle, garfield's owner. originally, the story was about jon arbuckle, a cartoonist, living out his days. but, it was also a story of jim davis, the real life creator of garfield, and how he was using the character of jon to tell the story of his life and his frustration with the comic industry.
but, no one remembers jon, the comic. they remember jon, garfield's owner. because that's what he became. garfield kept getting all the best lines, all the best jokes, so eventually, they rebranded the comic to be about him. and it exploded. the world loved this cat. he became a bestseller and a cultural icon.
but, what about jon?
when a protagonist gets pushed out of the spotlight, what is he supposed to do? when a mouthpiece for the author loses his voice, what is his purpose?
the answer garfield gave: to be the butt of the joke.
over time, jon lost his similarities to jim davis. instead, he became a laughingstock. throughout the comics, he became mocked for his... well, everything. women are repulsed by him, his cat mocks him for everything, a recurring joke is that garfield tries to torment jon, and it is all supposed to be funny.
when we look away from garfield and look at jon, we find... a directionless man. a loss of purpose. anguish. dread. garfield minus garfield is a comic that removes garfield from every garfield strip. the end result is a look into jon and what's going on in his head without garfield distracting us with his one-liners.
and this is where things start getting twisted.
from the horror garfield (also called gorefield/i'm sorry jon) fandom's works, three themes start emerging: powerlessness, existential dread, and malice.
the depiction of garfield as an immense eldritch abomination, one so large that it can crush skyscrapers without a care, kill a human without a single thought, it fills one with this sense of powerlessness. there is no way to escape a creature so all-encompassing, no way to defeat it, and certainly no way to survive it. (we will explore the horror of the inescapable later)
there is an existential dread in the situations jon arbuckle finds himself in. an existence full of horror, where the only point of his life is that he will keep suffering. being trapped with a creature beyond all of humanity. a creature that reveals to him just how pointless and insignificant his life is, how the universe will end, and laughs
and that's the heart of it. at its core, this depiction of garfield is much like a cat and mouse: toying with its prey. but instead of simply killing jon, garfield wants him to hurt. not just physically, but psychologically. the horror in garfield is not that an eldritch abomination exists, it's that an eldritch abomination exists and wants to hurt you and you can't escape it. the horror is that jon is trapped with a voice he can't escape pushing him towards despair and anguish. to quote super eyepatch wolf, "garfield is despair. he's the part of jon that makes him feel weak and insignificant, who pulls him down and traps him in realities dark and frightening."
the real horror is the idea that things will never truly get any better. that you'll wake up the next day and it will be full of all the same horrors as the last. that you will always be trapped with that voice inside your head pushing you towards your breaking point. just as garfield took over jon's comic, the horror is in a monster that is just so daunting in size and scope that it feels like there's no way you could escape it. a voice that whispers in your ear, manipulating you, twisting you, hurting you. a sadistic being that wants to see you suffer, that feeds off of your despair, that laughs at your anguish and tells you that there is no escape and no hope. your past will torment you and your present is agony and the future will be more of both. that the way things are is the way things will be, forever. a creature you can never outrun, never escape, never kill.
but it's a fucking liar.
even though jon is scared and terrified, he's shown fighting back against this beast. even if he will probably die, even if he's told it's hopeless, he tries. he fights. sure, the monster can't be escaped from, sure it can't be killed, but it can be defeated. it might be daunting, but nothing is insurmountable. even in the darkest moments, jon clings to hope. the beast tries so hard to make jon despair and give up, because it knows the moment jon grasps that glimmer of hope, it will be vulnerable. it knows the moment jon learns his strength, it will lose its own. it needs to convince jon that he are powerless, otherwise he might rise up against it.
but jon does. again, and again, and again, and again. even when his suffering feels inescapable, he tries.
that's the beauty of "the forgiveness of jon"
Tumblr media
that jon, for once, succeeded in defeating the beast. that for once, he's going to be okay. sure, he'll have bad days in the future, sure, his good days might not last, but he's okay. for now, he can celebrate his victories and relish his happiness.
and when that monster comes back, whispering that jon will never escape his suffering, jon knows he can defeat it.
so yeah hope this helps! ^_^
why are u worried,,,,
shaking u what is this whole garfield thing answer me
