What a night 😐

I was walking in the yard with Jo, Sugar (Jo's granddaughter) and Poupette (Sugar's daughter). Just chilling and sniffing. When at one point I see Jo running out of the bushes with something?

A pigeon. She was holding a baby pigeon by its wing. I yell at her to drop it and she does?? Gives me time to grab Sugar who came to see what was up, I yell at Jo to leave it and grab her too. Call someone for help.

Poupette is really interested but staying at a distance cause she's unsure. Pigeon is disoriented but still very feisty and goes to hide. Jo is whining like crazy as I take her away.

It took us a while to catch it in the bushes cause it was fighting back and trying to escape but my dad manages. We disinfected its wing where Jo grabbed it and I'm keeping it inside in the dark for the night since we have a lot of outdoor cats and I'll see tomorrow morning if it's good to go.

God I can't believe Jo dropped a live pigeon that she had caught! To be honest she was probably as surprised as I was cause as far as I know it's the first time she ever caught anything. I'm thinking maybe she was bringing it towards me like it was some kind of good treat lol.

Pigeon was really lucky that I was there and that Peach (Jo's daughter) was inside cause she has killed birds and rodents.

God what a night. I just wish I could have reinforced the act of dropping a live animal but unfortunately I was kinda busy lol.
