one day i will write that pokemon platinum fanfic that ive had in my head for so long
#blythe speaks#its basically like#the protag is named gaia and she kinda like. is questionably human and was made to be the counterpart to giratina#and the whole game plot was part of gaia's destiny on their way to meet giratina#gaia's mom legit just visits lake verity one day and mesprit gives her a toddler named gaia#i plan to mostly follow the storybeats#but to have like. gaia be 18 and barry be 16#so that the whole 'pls look after barry' thing makes more sense#and yeah barry was born the same year gaia was found at age 2#gaia's mom explained her appearance as a gift from the gods#which tbh gaia is#it wouldn't be like a ship fanfic though#just the story of gaia knowing she's different and slowly piecing things together throughout her pokemon journey#gaia is a she/they btw#most humans use she for gaia and basically all pokemon use they#and also i named them gaia bc like#theyre a major player in the plot. cyrus has a sun based name and cynthia has a moon based name#so i figured it was fitting for the protag to have an earth based name#and it's fitting bc gaia also represents the earthly dimension#the opposite of what giratina represents
