✧・°・。・°・。・ silvergale's aria sketches and crafting materials are time-gated by vital energy, so we're going to do some math.

tldr; assuming all 5k insight collection nodes unlocked already, it'll take 2.65 million bling and 26-27 days worth of vital energy to just collect all the sketches and crafting materials required for the silvergale's aria's set. another 840k bling required to actually craft the pieces, totaling to 3.49mil bling to unlock and craft the whole set once (no evolutions) over the course of a month. btw, the shooting star event will be over before this is done unless you use energy items

i'm currently at around 5k insight for all of my nodes. we need 7k insight for each type in order to even begin collecting the sketches. after getting the sketches, we find out that the crafting mats require essences from abandoned district or wishing woods. here's my first optimization -- don't bother unlocking the silvergale sketches until you have the insight to collect the required essences.

it takes bling and whimstars to unlock each node in the heart of infinity, and the bling will be better used for unlocking the new collection nodes first. some of the essences required are rare/daily material types, so those will be time-gated no matter what, so we can parallelize our waiting time by collecting daily essences while further collecting the other time-gated mats. all the more reason to unlock the collection nodes first.

gathering, grooming, and fishing require essences from wishing woods. those nodes require 18k insight each to unlock. the only bug essences required is socko, which we can already collect with 5k insight, so we'll only need to get to 7k insight for bug-catching. with 5k insight in each node already, here's how much total insight i still need across all nodes:

3*(18000-5000) + (7000 - 5000) = 41000 collective insight needed

realm of nourishment is going to be significantly faster than me collecting 41k different things. the conversion rate is 20 vital energy per 200 insight across all collection types.

41000/200 = 205 realm of nourishment trade-ins

205 * 20 = 4100 vital energy required

vital energy regenerates at 1 per 5 minutes

4100 * 5 = 20.5k minutes = 341.67 hours = 14.24 days to get required insights for the sketch and collection nodes (assuming constant vital energy regeneration and no over-capping)

assuming you've completed all the nodes in v1.0 nodes and only need to unlock collection nodes for abandoned district and wishing woods:

unlocking collection nodes from abandoned district through wishing woods (not including the 25k insight bonus node) costs 500k each (50k bling node for abandoned district essence @ 7k insight, 100k bling node @ 10k insight, 150k bling node @ 13k insight, 200k bling node for wishing woods @ 18k insight).

totaling to three 18k insight nodes + one 7k insight node = 3 * (500k bling) + 50k bling = 1.55mil bling to unlock required insight nodes.

note: someone has already done the math for how much bling is needed to unlock the insights on reddit - i checked the math, and it might be slightly off depending on what your starting insight state is.

unlocking the sketch nodes themselves (does not including insight node requirements) is 900k (outfit) and 200k (makeup) = 1.1 mil total for sketches.

for both unlocking required insight nodes and all outfit and makeup sketches = 1.55mil + 1.1mil = 2.65mil bling total

once we have all the collection insight and nodes unlocked, we can look at the time-gated mats:

10 silver petals (from daily wishes, takes minimum 10 days, we'll get these easily just by burning energy daily to get insight)

430 bouldy mats (5 mats per 40 vital energy, 86 total clears, 3440 total vital energy required, 17.2k minutes = 286.67 hours = 11.94 days total)

10 socko essences - we already have the insight for this, but i collect 5 sockos a day, so this can be done within 2 days.

daily rare mats like 2 astral swan essence, 2 dawn fluff essence, 2 palettetail essences, 20 sol fruit essences, all of which can be achieved within 2 days

all of the mat collection above can be done in parallel, so the longest time-gated mat (bouldy) will be the limiting factor at 11.94 days in addition to the 14.24 days needed to unlock insights -- totalling to about 26-27 days worth of vital energy from my current amount of insight. yikes.

i don't spend vital energy to escalate bling since vital energy is usually better spent on resources that cannot be acquired by playing. mira crown styling and pinnacle contests will get a non-trivial amount of bling, along with the current shooting star event will also net a fair bit of bling over time. in 26-27 days, i suspect that 2.65mil total bling won't be an issue to acquire at all.

further note: we'll need another 590k (outfit set) + 250k (makeup) to craft the sketches themselves. this is not included in the above calculations. including this, 2.65mil + 590k + 250k = 3.49mil bling to unlock all required nodes and craft the entire set.

edit: as per @/takethistoyourstardust 's comments!! if you want all the evolutions, the final evolution will require a second set of the outfit, so double the bouldy numbers. it will likely also require a weekly mat on the order of 21 weeks if it's anything like the aurosa evolutions.

I am utterly disgusted with myself. I have spent over 193$ on high tops as of tonight and between my prior purchase with Kohls.

I mean but making sure those Forums were authentic was very important to me and it was the only reason I didn't buy them sooner. Third party sellers on Amazon are not trustworthy.

I bought the Neo cause my eyes did this 😍😍 I've been looking for them for like well almost 10 years maybe 7. I wore mine everyday for like 3 years and I mean they are beaten to all shit.

The, "new" to me Neo's are pre-owned but I mean- they have free returns and they look like they are in great condition. I'll return them if they aren't. That's the problem with high tops, they come out and they sell out fast and then they are GONE. I bought my old ones at Jcpennies I think, I remember the day coming out of the store I was so fucking happy cause my heart skipped a beat when I saw them. It was at West Farms.

I can afford the forums bc Afterpay makes me pay over 6 weeks it lines up with June which makes it more compatible with affording almost 120$ high tops.
