#random thoughts#guess what motherfuckers it's blue man time#going through my notes on the old man and the seat and he would NOT brag about having an intern like that#glootie would just. be there. and morty'd be like 'who's that rick' and rick'd be like 'my intern'#and jerry'd be like '??? for what??? what would you possibly need an intern for' and rick'd be like#'idk jerry what would you possibly need to impregnate my daughter for'#and then he'd leave and jerry'd be like 'i want an intern' and beth'd be like 'get a job jerry'#idk did they do get a job jokes in season 4? idr#it isn't exactly out of character for rick to want to look impressive but usually it's for his intelligence or whatever#and like. is it a paid internship? what does rick think glootie is getting out of this?#literally the only reason the internship is a thing is to make up a reason for glootie to be in the house#which like. funny! that's the joke! and it's a funny joke!#but there's not enough questioning of the bit for the bit to be worth it#besides rick would never have an intern it'd be too much like being a boss and that's too much like having a job#he'd have an intentured servant tho. or a slave. he's not above slavery#he'd lie about glootie being an intern to keep everyone else from nosing around in his business#and morty'd find out and be rightfully freaked out#and it'd turn out glootie is from like oh fuck what are they called. he's like a house elf from harry potter#like a race that thrives off being enslaved#and the whole thing for the episode would turn out to be exploring the morals of enslaving a race who's down for it#maybe it turns out rick was misinformed about glootie's race and it's just glootie specifically is into it sexually#and rick'd be uncomfortable and morty's like 'oh so you're fine with slavery but this is where you draw the line' and rick#and the whole thing ends up being about consent all along!!! muahahaha#idk i'm just bullshitting here
