as someone who had never ever heard of neıl gaımân or any of his work before the angel show blew up here on tumblr, and being so confused as to why everyone was so enamored with this guy, and then watching as everyone was so horrified by the ~allegations~ reading the vulture piece on him and finding out he & his family were heavily involved in scıentology is like a brick slotting into place

#honest to god had never heard of this man before in my life until a few years ago. had never heard of any of his books. nothing.#I always thought it was odd that he was so prominent here on tumblr after that like.. ppl on here treated anything he said #like it was the word of god and I was just like.... wut?#and it does strike me as supremely odd that this whole thing isn't talked abt more here.. the website where everyone is supposed to be above #unhealthy parasocial relationships...........................#but anyway. finding out he's been heavily involved in the scıentology explains.... so much. like holy shit.#erin explains it all
