okay so the first part is about L&T losing a baby - I wrote about it in this HC. I think this part sums it up well:

For so long they believed that nothing could ever come between them, until something did. And they are both lost and hurting and Lina is SO confused, because she didn’t even know if she wants children and now she is missing the one she hadn’t even known?

and in that first part, it's just very angsty with Tatum trying to get better by talking and Lina completely shutting herself off (considering leavin Tatum because she is undeserving of him), until one day she breaks down in his arms

(I know you didn't ask about the first part sorry haha it's all about the context)

and! finally after Lina's breakdown - and honestly, Tatum's too because they are both equally devastated, they decide to take a break. They travel to Portugal and find their way to some sort of peace and also back to each other. They have a lot of talking to do, a lot of reconneting.

"Is this the part where I say I can feel the power of the ocean healing me?" Lina asks with the glass of Porto in her hand and probably, she was trying to sound casual, but all Tatum can hear is a broken person endeavouring to cover that part of them that's ruined.

"Perhaps we cannot be healed," Tatum answers in a quiet voice, looking ahead of himself at the ocean - soothing, calming, endless. Beautiful.

Still just an ocean, though. It holds no healing powers for them.

"But we can stop suffering," he turns to Lina and takes her free hand into his own. "Suffering is pain that has not been accepted. I can accept this pain as a part of myself for as long as you stay part of me, too. Can you?"
