Sorry if you’ve received this ask before, but what are your fav books that you’d recommend? Or something new you’re reading that you’d recommend? I’ve been looking for romances that are well written, but I’m open to anything that has a soul!
u know im always reading romance!!! here are a few old classic faves of mine mixed in with some recent reads i have enjoyed
if u just want pure fluffy, angsty romance
bringing down the duke by evie dumore -  i just read this last week and devoured it was so delicious. adult historical romance; one of the first female students at oxford is tasked with recruiting a duke to the suffragette cause.
anything by lisa kleypas. queen of historical romance.
the anna, lola, isla series by stephanie perkins - ya contemporary; follows three girls in high school falling in love, theyre cute
if u want a good romantic book that also has some plot going on
serpent and dove by shelby mahurin - i also recently read this and it was such a fun time. ya fantasy/historical; a witch and a witch hunter are forced to get married
the gentleman’s guide to vice and virtue by mackenzie lee - A BOP. ya historical fiction; an aristocratic boy and his best friend (whom hes in love with) and his sister go on an adventureeeee
red white and royal blue by casey mcquinston - iconic showstopping incredible never been done before totally unique never the same. new adult contemporary romance; the prince of wales and the son of the american president enemies to friends to lovers
the dark days club by alison goodman - underrated gem. ya historical/fantasy; basically jane austen + demon hunting kinda
illuminae by amie kauffman and jay kristoff - a WILD ride. make sure u get a physical copy and not the audiobook bc its mixed media and its so good. ya sci-fi; spaceships and hacking and AI and shit
if u want a transcendent novel that also has romance mixed in
six of crows by leigh bardguo - heart of my heart, my love, my life. ya fantasy; six outcast criminals come together for one dangerous magical heist.
the raven boys by maggie stiefvater - [screams for 200 years]. ya realistic fantasy; u cant summarize this book but there are boys and dreams and dead welsh kings and psychics and ravens and true love.
strange the dreamer by lani taylor - ripped my heart out from my chest. ya high fantasy; also difficult to summarize but theres magical libraries, a lost city, dead gods, girls with blue skin, a girl who can enter peoples dreams, and an alchemist.
the song of achilles by madeline miller - Nothing Was The Same. adult myth retelling; the events of the illiad through the eyes of patroclus.
u can always follow me on goodreads to see what im reading and feel free to ask me for more specific recs if u have something in mind!
