yes exactly. you aren't researching anything. you're being given the information you're not finding it yourself. you're no more "discovering" drug interactions than colombus "discovered" america
if a verbal rundown is something you NEED then you can literally just have someone read the leaflet to you instead. this still is not research.
you can have someone else read it, tell you anything important specifically relevant to you, and have that person keep track of side effects (if reading them is likely to make you spontaneously generate them). this also isn't research.
i swear the attitude some people have towards medication that is then somehow everyone else's fault
"i throw it out like terms and conditions" girl that is a whole drug you are putting in your body not a twitter account
#getting the info provided on the leaflet into your head by some means#is YOUR job as a patient#this is YOUR responsibility in the healthcare journey#the same as it is YOUR job to report any side effects or weirdness at medical appointments#and not just ignore them#and if you are not going to tell pharmacists about OTC medication and recreational drugs you're taking#then it is YOUR job to check those interactions#and yes that one is research but if other people had that info they would in fact do it for you
