#ive done SO much thinking about this that ive even researched to see if the observatory could be moved to south america#because like. arecibo was shut down not that long after the book itself was published#and if the guy that plays emilio isn't from peurto rico than it wouldnt make sense for the observatory to be there#the whole point is that it's in his hometown and he gets involved accidentally . and then becomes Space Job#and it turns out chile has like..a truly wild number of observatories#which makes sense i guess given that there's such a large amount of high-altitude desert that its good for low light polution#anyway emilio could be from la serena which has a couple of them in reasonable distance#great town to put a man in a situation#his sport wouldnt be baseball anymore most likely which does take away some of the misery of losing his sport with his hands#but i think many would argue that he has been through enough#oh oh i can see this so clearly in my mind . this production is taking such shape . it'll never be real but a boy can dream#q
