You weren't expecting Coco to pick you up from work today, but you guess he has just done it to see who's the fucker trying to flirt with his girl. The guy is uglier than the back of a fridge, and he feels some comfort in it. But not enough to calm down his jealousy. He —better than anybody— knows that you don't care about a pretty face, you care about a beautiful heart, tho. His insecurities come afloat on your way back home, worrying you because he's more silent than ever, not even getting a response when you whisper in his ear how much you have missed him today after waking up alone.
Coming into your house with his face down, Coco leaves his kutte and both helmets on the coffee table, a second before falling onto your sofa. A leg over it, the other flexed to the floor. Your boyfriend looks at you, thoughtful and very concentrated on the way you have to remove your jacket and walk towards his position. You know exactly what's on his mind and that touches your soul. His demons eat him alive with no mercy. Kneeling a leg between his —placing your phone close to his black helmet—, you lean down with both hands on his chest for balance, landing your lips onto his left ear.
“Can you do something for me?” You hum with such a sweet tone, caressing his cheek with the tip of your nose. And you hear him swallowing slowly. “Fuck me, Coco. I need you so fuckin' much… You can't imagine… Can you do that for me, ah? Can you fuck me so hard I forgot my name but not who I belong to?”
He utters a feral snarl, noticing then that your right hand has made its way to his dick. You grip it over the rough fabric, swinging it with a tortuous pace, fixing your eyes on his. Coco is about to kiss you when you push him down using your left hand.
“I don't want your kisses now”. You whisper accommodating yourself over the delicious rock under his clothes. “I want your dick. I want you to fuck me till I have to beg you to stop”.
How does he manage to roll you down his body? You don't know. But the fact is that, in less than a second, you're lying on your stomach and your boyfriend is removing your sneakers and your jeans. He can't help but lick his lips keenly as he glances at the small spot darkening your panties, the evidence of how wet you are because of him.
“Fuck, ma'...”
Coco rips off the piece of clothing causing you to gasp, while you take off the shirt covering your torso, only leaving the blue bra you're wearing beneath it. He undoes it to throw it to the floor too, sliding an arm under your stomach to make you raise your ass. With his free hand, your boyfriend pulls down his jeans and boxers enough to let his hard cock spring free. He doesn't prepare you. Coco guides his glans to your folds to slam his thick length into your soaked cunt. You moan loud and clear his full name, as he settles his body between your spread legs.
Digging his fingers in your hips, aware that he probably will leave some marks there, he doesn't show any mercy. He hits your guts and your soul once and once with an insane pace that causes you to roll your eyes, nailing your hands on the armrest to find some equilibrium and receive every pound straight to your g-spot without falling over it. Coco is fucking you as hard as you have asked him, blanking your mind and making a mess of your vocals.
And he doesn't stop when your phone starts to ring. The name of your co-worker appearing on the screen. Your boyfriend has the brilliant idea of pulling your hair back by tangling his digits there, bringing his lips to your ear. His other hand grabs your device to put it at the height of your faces, sliding his thumb to answer the video call.
The first thing your partner can see is the pleasure gesture on yours, moaning and screaming Coco's name, not having noticed yet what he is doing until you hear your co-worker calling you.
“Tell him how good I fuck you, ma'”. Your boyfriend demands with such a throaty growl, thrusting his thick and hard length into you, impaling your body against the sofa.
“Shit…” You almost cry. “He fucks me so damn good”.
“That's it… Tell him… Tell him who you belong to”.
You know that he's enjoying it, but you can't answer when your partner hangs up the call. Coco can't help but laugh, tosing your phone to the table, to occupy his hand in a better place. Wrapping it around your throat, your boyfriend forces you to kneel on the cushions, sticking his chest to your back.
“Bet he won't forget”. He grunts into your ear, tilting your head to tuck his tongue within your mouth.
He drinks your pleas, your begs, your gaps, placing your fingers around his wrists, aware that you're not going to last much more because of what has just happened. And he feels it. He feels how your whole anatomy gets tensed with every push to your guts, creating an erotic melody of flesh against flesh. Pulling you down again and gripping your hips, Coco increases the pace of his lungs, giving you more pleasure than you can bear with, still enraged because of that shithead thinking he could have some kind of opportunity with you. You are his. Like your heart, your soul, your thoughts.
“Ah, fuck, baby”. You paint roaring, biting your lips until the metallic taste of blood floods your mouth.
The tickles in your lower belly grow by leaps and bounds, making your heart stop for a brief instant before the orgasm blows out all your senses and the electrical lash roams your back. It takes Coco only two slams more into your soaked pussy to cum inside you, filling you as much as he can press his body against yours. He doesn't feel jealous, nor angry anymore. He simply is too tired after that rough quickly, marking your skin wherever his teeth have reached it.
Loosening his grip bit by bit to pull his wet dick out from you, your boyfriend holds your phone again to take a picture of his warm seed spilling out from your abused lips. A piece of art under his dark eyes. Lying on your back and placing a smooth kiss on top of your head, he shows you the little mess he has done with a proud smile crossing his exhausted mouth.
“Was tha' what you wanted?”
“Uh-huh”. You whisper resting your cheek over your forearms, turning slightly at him. “Did you have fun, Coquito?”
“I always have fun ruining your sweet tight pussy, ma'. I don' even mind if that cabrón wanna come and look the next time”.

“I’m Mnfhdphf,” you mumble with your mouth full.
"What?" She asks again, annoyed.
"She's Y/N, Meredith," Keanu replies as he walks in, pulling a shirt over his head.
"I'm Y/N," you finally respond clearly.
"Yeah, got that," she chides.
Keanu walks over to you and grabs a piece of cheese, popping it in his mouth.
"Y/N, this is Meredith...my agent. Meredith, Y/N...Y/N is my guest."
"Oooh, your agent. N-nice to meet you," you reply and hold out your hand.
She gives you a curtly smile, but you know it's ingenuine.
"What the hell, Keanu?" She directs her annoyance to him.
As if he already knows what she's thinking, he raised his hand into submission.
"Look, it was a small accident. No one got hurt."
She tuts at him and tosses the manilla envelope on the marble slab counter.
"What's this?" He asks innocently and takes the document.
"A role...they're filming here in the city. Figured you'd be interested since your project has kept you here."
You tug at the hem of his shirt and cough, "I'll leave you to it...just gonna go get dressed."
"That would be best," Meredith snaps.
"Play nice," Keanu says unphased and reviews the script. "Huh…"
You hear him discuss a few things with her as you scamper to the living room to grab you jeans.
"What?"
He scratches the back of his neck and cranes it to the side, "I dunno, Mer. It's um…"
"It's what?"
"Dancing?"
"Yeah, so?"
"I dunno how to dance. I haven't done something like this," he shakes his head and tosses the script haphazardly on the counter.
You jump into your jeans and quickly button the button.
"Did you say dancing?" You ask across the living room.
Meredith crosses her arms and rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, this role requires me to waltz."
"There's this dance studio on Van Ness. We passed it coming here…" you quickly reply, thinking that the last time you were there was with your ex.
"Let me guess, you're a dancer," Meredith retorts.
"No...I work at a bookstore...I mean that's not all I do…"
"She's a chef, Mer. Lay off," Keanu replies.
"Oh fantastic. You almost kill yourself while riding in the rain with a bookstore girl?"
Keanu's hand motioned her to stop, "If this is about the accident, it was my fault. Don't out blame on Y/N."
"You can't just go gallivanting around the city! Or you at least call me to tell me you're okay! I had to call a million people, plus the studio, and lie until I saw you. You didn't answer your phone!"
"I'm sorry…" you pipe up. "I didn't mean for things to get out of hand...if you want me to leave-"
"YES."
"No," Keanu said cooly.
Meredith shot Keanu a death glare, but he shrugged it off and grabbed a water bottle from the fridge.
"Keanu…" she started to say as he shook his head.
"You got what you came for, Mer. You saw me, I'm fine. I'll take a look at the script and let you know. I'll call you in the morning."
"But-"
"Now, Mer I know you're coming from a good place, but you've been rude to my guest. So please see yourself at the door and we'll talk later."
Meredith's mouth stayed open like a cod fish and shot daggers over your way.
"Fine. Let me know first thing in the morning. Otherwise who knows, Hugh Jackman might swoop in on this. And don't forget, you have the signing party tomorrow night."
"Yeah, okay, Mer. Thanks."
She pivoted on her heel and headed to the foyer and out the door.
You plopped on the leather couch, stunned at their interaction.
"Gosh…" you were able to say. "I didn't think that would happen to me today."
"I'm sorry, Y/N. Meredith means well. She's tough as nails and has been my agent for years. I get why she was upset, but she had no right to talk to you that way."
He picked up the folder and walked over to the couch to sit next to you.
"It's okay...I mean, I don't know her from Adam. But definitely don't want to be on her bad side again."
"Heh, yeah. Me either."
You gulp as he sits comfortably next to you. Is this what it's like? Being normal next to the global superstar? Just be cool, Y/N.
"So, do you have any plans tomorrow?"
Your voice cracks, "What?"
"I had a fantastic time with you...I hope there will be more…" he smacks his forehead and blushes, "Gosh. I didn't mean it like that."
You stifle a giggle. I hope there will be more moments like that in the bedroom.
"What I mean to say is, I'd like you to be my date tomorrow at this signing thing...that is if you'd like to come?'
***
The next day you're on cloud nine. You've chatted to your brother about meeting the famous actor and he hadn't stopped asking you how he was and is he as cool as he seems. It's as if he wanted to go out on a date with him instead.
“Ask him for an autograph,” he asks.
“You’ve got to be kidding me, CJ,” you roll your eyes as you pace your bedroom.
“What? Not for you, for me!”
“Shut up.”
“C’mon, I have my Matrix poster that I can give you-“
“I’m going? Ceej.”
“No, wait. Ask him more about Cyberpunk...like can he-“
“Bye, dude!” You reply and end the call. It was just you and your brother these days, your parents had passed on and while you loved him, he did drive you crazy from time to time. He was finishing his senior year at Sac state and being your baby brother, you’d think you were the protector. But instead he always was the one to check in on you, to make sure you were eating all your food groups and drinking water. You loved that nut despite his spaziness.
You find yourself going through your closet for an evening with the superstar. You pick up from your bed a black leather pencil skirt and hold it up to your waist. Unsure if you can pull it off and not really knowing what you'd match it with.
Your bedroom door swings open and it's your neighbor's teenage daughter, Cori.
"Oooh, what are you doing tonight?' she teased as she crunched the apple she held in her hand.
"Help yourself, Cor," you roll your eyes alluding to the fruit that she took from your counter. You toss the skirt on the bed, then pick up a pair of your comfy boyfriend jeans.
"I got some Dr. Marten's that would go great with that skirt," she says and plops down the bed, rummaging through your clothes.
"I have worn Doc Marten's before you were born," you laugh. She's a cute kid. Hella beautiful and smart. She's talked about joining the Air Force one day and you hope she gets there.
"You need to show some leg, Y/N."
"What are you doing here?" You tut and she hands you the pretty floral silk mini dress that you bought for a wedding last year and never wore again.
"It's for tonight. It'll be cold."
"Even better, he'll have to give you his jacket."
"How do you even know about these things? You're fifteen."
"Fifteen is the new twenty," she shrugs and gets up to your closet.
You stare at the dress. It's an outfit that does accentuate your legs and you've felt cute in it. Maybe Cori is right…
She returns and hands you a faux leather jacket that you bought at some boutique a few months ago.
"I dunno…"
She shoves it to your chest, "Trust me."
"I'm not sure if this is the right outfit for the event."
"What's it for then?"
"A book signing or something?"
"Ooh, he's an artist?"
"Kind of… thespian…" you blush and pull your shirt over your head and reach for the dress.
"Oh, like locally?" She crunches another bite of the apple and leans on the doorframe.
"Not exactly…"
You pull the leather jacket on and peer at your full length mirror. You look pretty good: chic and cool, not trying too hard, but an effort nonetheless.
"Black tights," she clicks her tongue and waggles her brows.
"Is that seriously in?"
"It's hot. Sheer tights and my boots, c'mon, Y/N."
"I dunno."
"Is he hot?"
You blush at the thought of Keanu and then that you're talking to a teenager about your love life.
"Oh, he is. Okay I'll be back with my boots," she replies and rushes out of the room.
"Cor! Wait!" You yell, but she's already down the hall. You look back at your reflection and bit your lip.
I can do this. What is one little night out with the man of your dreams? Nothing to be worried about.
***
Keanu insisted on picking you up despite your resistance. You told him it was fine and you could just meet up. He wouldn’t take no for an answer. Which secretly you enjoyed.
The roar of his motorcycle echoed down your street and you pretended like you weren’t waiting for him for 30 minutes on your couch. Your palms were sweaty an your hair was falling flat, but the excitement was overwhelming.
The knock at your door startled you despite your ability to hear him approach your doorstep. You take one more look at yourself in the hall mirror and then open the door. He’s wearing a nice coat, a v-neck gray shirt, and jeans. Maybe you overdressed?
“Wow,” he says as you open the door. “I leveled up for sure.” You giggle as he hands you a bouquet of wildflowers. The bursts of yellow and orange are gorgeous and he can tell you’re pleased with them.
“Beautiful flowers for a beautiful lady,” he smirks. You give him a kiss on the cheek.
“Thank you…” you reply. “Come on in, I’ll put them in water and we can head out.”
He nods in agreement as you pivot towards your kitchen, nervous that you have him in your apartment. Keanu Reeves is in your apartment. Get it together Y/N, he was between your thighs the day before. You silently chuckle to yourself as an image flashes to your brain.
“What’s so funny?” he asks as you stare at him, caught in your thirsty moment.
"Oh, uh nothing really."
He smiles and rubs his chin, as if he could read your mind.
"I'm really looking forward to this,' he replies.
"Me, too. I hope I don't get too much in the way," you reply as you place the flowers in a vase full of water.
"Of course not," he leans his elbows on your kitchen counter. He fits here, you think. "I just hope it's not too boring."
"A night out with Keanu Reeves? Anything but boring."
He grimaces and smiles again, "No pressure."
"No pressure."
He claps his hands together and rubs them in eagerness. He's hit with a quick pain and grabs his side.
"Ke...you okay?" You leave the vase on the counter and go to his aid.
He gently touches his shoulder from the fall the day with you.
"Yeah, just got a little excited, heh. Ke. I like that."
A smile is brought to your face as you realized you called him that. It wasn't like you had thought of it before, but it fit.
"Do you need me to look at it?"
He cocked his brow, "Trying to get me shirtless again, Y/N?"
"I mean...not gonna lie. That does sound like a fun time…”
“Hey, I thought it was the intent to wine and dine you.”
“Is that so?” You coo and approach him, placing your hand on his chest. His brown eyes are soulful and deep, you could get lost in them. He leans in for a kiss and you close your eyes. His lips ignite a desire within and he encloses the gap and wraps hands around your waist. You press your body against his, the thinness of your dress makes the apex of your thighs ache.
He reluctantly pulls away, "At this rate I should cancel tonight."
"You can do that?"
"Sure, just let me call Meredith and you can tell why I won't be showing," he teases and pulls out his phone. You quickly grab it from his grasp.
"No, no need for that!"
"You sure? I bet she'd love to hear from you."
You look at his screen and pull open the camera app to take a candid shot of you two. Your first photo together.
"Let's go before I get you into more trouble."
***
BRZRKR. It's a comic book. You're attending Keanu's comic book signing party. CJ is going to flip his lid.
You arrive at a nearby bookstore, smaller than the one you work at, but it's filled with memorabilia, dolls, comics, posters of all types, heroes and anti-heroes.
Keanu downplayed this to the umpth degree. Considering how small the store was, it's jam packed with fans and media.
This is a big deal. Leave it to Keanu to say it was going to be an intimate evening. An intimate evening with 100 people you think to yourself.
The two of you didn't really talk about how to address things considering you showed up together. You were a bit busy hanging onto his strong abs as he whisked you away on his motorcycle through the city. So you weren't prepared with the paparazzi and journalists buzzing your way, trying to get a shot of the mystery woman who Keanu had arrived with.
He was escorted to the back of the store, you saw Meredith and she ignored you, purposefully. As he and the head comic writer dove into a Q&A session of how the idea was brought to life, a woman around your age accidentally bumps into you.
"Oh, excuse me!" She whispers as people continue to snap photos.
"It's okay," you reply and smile.
"This is something, huh?"
"Yeah," you nod, trying to hear what he says about comic series.
"What magazine are you with?" The woman asks. She's wearing Doc Marten's and you stifle a laugh to yourself.
"Me? Oh, I'm not a journalist. I work in a bookstore."
"This one?" She asks as she folds her arms, peering over to the table. Her hair, braided, is a natural red which is ridiculously beautiful. She's like a siren, and particularly calm.
"Oh no, just on Columbus. City Lights."
"Oh neat, so then you're a comic book enthusiast?"
"Me? I mean I've dabbled in Marvel and DC. But nothing like this."
"Yeah, tickets were hard to get for sure. I had to pull a few strings just to get this pass," she says and holds up a press lanyard.
"Oh," you reply. The crowd laughs and Keanu shakes his head smiling. Dangit, I wish I knew what they were talking about.
"How'd you get yours?"
"Um, Meredith gave it to me," you reply and then realized maybe you've said too much.
"Cool," the woman says unphased. "Mischa."
"Y\N," you say and then turn your attention to Keanu. "I'm gonna try to get a closer look," you say as a segway to leave.
"Oh sure, talk to you later," Mischa replies as you snake around the crowd to hear better.
***
After almost two hours, Keanu has done some meet and greets, and other press photos. You hang out in the back and peruse the rest of the store. Meredith approaches you from behind.
"So, what did you think?" She's wearing a slick, blush power suit and she looks amazing. Her short brunette hair is styled and for a second, she actually looks approachable.
"Very educational," you smile.
"Surprised you stayed this long."
"I hadn't realized what this actually was. Ke didn't make it sound like a big deal."
"Ke?"
"Um yeah," you blush. "Just a nickname."
"Already there, huh?" She stuffs her hands in her pants pocket and you don't understand the chip she has on her shoulder.
You ignore her comment,"So should I stay around?"
"He probably wouldn't notice you gone."
You give her a side eye, the nerve.
"Who's gone?" Keanu asks as he turns the corner and is between the two of you.
"No one," you beam as he places his hand on your shoulder.
"Mer you treating my girl alright?"
She grabs a wine glass from a nearby waiter and smirks, saying nothing and then walks away.
"Like a bulldog," you say as she disappears in the crowd.
"How about we get out of here?" He says and draws himself closer to you. "You smell fantastic by the way, did I mention that yet?"
You giggle and shake your head no, "What do you have in mind?"
"Are you up to show me the City at night?"

“Take my hand
Take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you”
For brettsey 🥰
She should have seen it coming.
It isn’t a huge conversation, really. She’s sitting on a fancy chair in a fancy restaurant for what is supposed to be a nice night out for her and Matt. It’s a beautiful restaurant with dim lights that just nail the whole romantic ambiance. But then, she gets a Facebook notification while they’re waiting for their food and sees Hope’s recent wedding photos to some random guy from Fowlerton, sending her shamefully stalking her Facebook page. It’s not like she had specifically planned to bring it up with him, but just. Ugh. Hope sure does bring out the worst in her.
“Ugh, look at her stupid pretty flowers, and her stupid perfect dress,” she pouts while they sit at their table “Who has roses at their wedding anyway? Rich people, that’s who. My wedding is going to be strictly orchids.”
“Wedding?” His eyebrows raise at his question.
She backtracks as fast as she can. “Oh, I- hypothetically, I mean.”
He nods slowly, the awkwardness creeping up on them.
“I’m sorry,” she knows she should stop herself, but she can’t help it as she asks, “do you, uh… do you not want to get married?”
“Me? Uh- I mean… Well, we both have had pretty awful experiences with engagements and marriage. So… It just didn’t cross my mind.”
“Really?”
“... Nope.” She can’t tell if he’s imagining it but she swears something in his voice is off.
“Oh… ok,” she nods, blinking back tears and just. She can’t believe what she’s hearing. “I just, uh. We’ve been dating three years now and I figured it was going somewhere. I guess I was wrong.” She can’t stop the tears from trickling off her cheek as she gets up from their table and grabs her coat.
“Sylvie, wait,” she hears Matt plead as she grabs her coat and dashes. Her heart stings as she leaves the restaurant, the tears blurring her eyes as she fumbles for her keys in her purse. When she gets home, she orders a deep-dish pizza, still hungry after missing out on the food from the restaurant, and passes out on her couch almost immediately after two slices.
The next morning, she wakes up to two missed calls from Matt. She grunts and puts her phone on silent, getting up from the couch to get breakfast. The only food she has in her fridge that isn’t rotten or expired is the cold, leftover cheese pizza from the night before, so she takes a slice for breakfast and prepares herself for a marathon of Property Brothers. Her relationship with Matt might be slowly crumbling before her eyes but hey, the Scott brothers can be the reliable men in her life from now on, right?
Her phone keeps lighting up throughout the day with missed calls and texts from Matt. She doesn’t want to hear it. Not yet, at least. Working things out, if even possible, will take hard work and time, and she’s not ready for that yet. Hell, she doesn’t even know if working it out is possible. She’s got a lot of thinking to do and no willpower to do it.
Two more days pass before her next shift. The second day, Stella and Mackey come over, yanking her off of her couch where she’s been sleeping for the past two days. She had tried to go up to her bedroom the first night but was too upset by the framed pictures on her nightstand of her and Matt. Their trip to Cabo, their first date, the time they went to a carnival. The memories make her head hurt with messy confusion and heartache, so she sleeps on her couch.
Stella and Mackey drag her to a girl’s day out. They get their nails done and go out for lunch, but Sylvie can tell she’s being a drag when she keeps groaning at her phone.
“Girl, he’s been calling you all day,” Stella pouts in sympathy for her best friend.
“Ugh, I know. I miss him,” she groans. “But this is just too hard. He basically said he didn’t want to get married! I mean, I know we both haven’t necessarily had the best luck in that department but… I thought we were heading somewhere, you know?”
“I’m so sorry, Sylvie,” Mackey sighs, rubbing her shoulder tenderly. “You guys will get through this rough patch.”
Sylvie nods in an attempt to muster up some hope but is unsuccessful. She hadn’t even realized how badly she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Matt Casey until he had told her he hadn’t thought about it.
They pay for lunch an hour later, and Sylvie leaves feeling only slightly less shitty than she was when she first left the house.
The morning of her shift after the fight, she’s still asleep on her couch when she gets a knock on her door. She figures it’s Casey, as he normally drives her to work on their shifts together.
“Look, Matt, I know I haven’t responded to your calls in a few days but I really don’t—” She starts to call out to Matt as she pulls herself off the couch and stumbles on the way to the door. She opens the door though, and her prepared speech about needing more time and space is cut short when she sees Severide leaning against the doorway instead of Matt.
“You look awful,” he kids.
“Thanks,” she rolls her eyes. “What are you doing here?”
“Get dressed. I’m here to take you to work,” he shrugs and invites himself in.
“I thought Stella was doing that.”
“Nope. It’s me today. Special occasion.”
“What special occasion is this, exactly?”
“You’ll see when we get to work. I’m under strict orders not to say anything until we get there.”
Sylvie hesitates for a moment. The chances of this not involving Casey are slim. Whatever brought about this weird turn of events feels important, but it makes her reluctant to give in. “If this has anything to do with Matt and what happened last time we spoke—”
“No! No,” he frantically exclaims, “Nothing to do with that. Just- come on, let’s go. We’re going to be late.”
She runs into her room and throws on jeans and a t-shirt. It’s not the nicest outfit she owns but she’s going to get changed there anyways, so she grabs her bag and hops into Severide’s car.
“You know, Matt loves you. A lot,” he comments as they park outside of the firehouse and jump out of the car. They had been silent the whole car ride and Sylvie’s about 100 steps away from the firehouse as he says it. “I’m sure his priorities are more similar to yours than you think they are.”
“I doubt that but it’s fine,” she grumbles.
They walk in through the apron and into the firehouse through the doors leading to the common room. Except as Sylvie walks alongside Severide, she notices that the lights are dimmer than usual. “Are you sure about that?” He retorts as they reach the entrance to the common room and find out why.
Standing at the kitchen counter facing the entrance is Matt, surrounded by rose petals and lit candles as a soft, familiar Elvis ballad plays in the background on a radio. People are watching from the entrance in adoration, giving her encouraging nods and smiles. The scene is overwhelming and makes Sylvie tear up a bit as her bag falls off her shoulder and onto the ground.
“I wanted it to be a surprise.” Matt’s voice is low and sweet as he smiles nervously at her.
“Oh my god… did you do all of this,” she asks in a whisper, her breath watery and shaky with emotion. She’s absolutely speechless. And very underdressed.
“This was supposed to happen after our dinner the other night. It took a lot of convincing for the Chief to let me light these candles in here, what with the fire hazards and all, but he made an exception for an important cause.” She meets him halfway between the entrance and the kitchen, her heart feeling a pull towards him that’s almost magnetic. Severide and the rest of the firehouse are shuffling closer to the entrance as they watch the scene from afar.
“The cause?” She knows the cause. Knows what’s coming next. She just wants to hear him say it, she needs to hear him say it.
“Yeah.” Matt takes a deep breath in and exhales shakily before continuing. “I am so sorry, Sylvie.” Her heart is fluttering fast like a hummingbird as he takes her shaking hands in his own, his skin warm and soft to the touch. “I had this all planned out. I thought…” He starts to tear up and it makes the tears fall down Sylvie’s face even quicker as he powers through, his voice shaky and his eyes glossed with tears, “I thought that it mattered… where and when I would propose to you. I got so caught up in making everything perfect… that I nearly ruined everything. But you… you make me happier than I ever thought I could be. And, if you’ll let me, I want to spend the rest of my life doing the same. So,” he pauses as he gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring from his pocket.
“Oh my god,” she blurts. She’s a blubbering mess by now and she feels her knees give out as she lowers to the ground to meet Matt’s eyes.
The laugh he lets out is watery and shaky, and his hands fumble as he shows her the ring. “Sylvie Brett… will you marry me?”
She doesn’t believe it. She thinks she must be having some weird fever dream because this moment is so perfect and happy that it just can’t be true… but it is. It’s true, and she’s smiling like an idiot as she whispers her answer. “Yes.”
“Yes?” His wide, goofy grin matches hers.
“Yes!” She repeats it louder this time, letting him slip the ring on her finger. They both stand up as he leans in and kisses her. It’s soft and sloppy and his lips taste like tears, but it’s perfect.
Their kiss is interrupted by a roar of cheers and clapping. The whole firehouse, still watching intently, comes barrelling into the common room to congratulate them with hugs and cheers and pats on the back. They smile and accept the giant group hug from their group of friends. Even Boden comes over and hugs them, tells them he’s proud of them both before going to blow out all of the candles.
“Ahhhh!” Mackey and Stella both squeal and pull her in for a group hug. She feels bad for soaking their shirts with tears but they don’t notice as they jump up and down.
“Girl we were practically dying the other day trying to keep his secret,” Stella huffs dramatically and whacks Casey on the shoulder.
“Wait, you guys knew?”
“We’ve known for weeks, girl! We all have,” Mackey gestures to the whole firehouse and Sylvie just. Her heart feels like it’s pouring out of her eyes in the form of tears. It’s so overwhelming and beautiful and just… perfect.
Sylvie laughs, burying her head into Matt’s chest before looking back up to him. She kisses him again, this time slower and deeper, before saying the words that have turned into an instinct for her over the last three years. The words that she has to say because no other words are perfect enough. “I love you.”
Then, he smiles at her and the words come naturally to him after he kisses her forehead.
“I love you too.”

My day at the office was terrible, my share of arrogant clients is reaching its limit. I just don't throw it all away because the bills don't pay themselves and I like the little luxuries that my salary provides. One of them is the wine I'm drinking. Delicious, full-bodied, with a slight oak aroma. If this wine were a man, I would literally be on my knees for him. After all, the ideal would be a good wine and a hot night with some hot guy. But the resolution I made on my last birthday, prevents me from going to a bar and meeting someone. My new self doesn't spend time with imbeciles. I was tired of booty calls and all those fuck boys. I want someone to stay, someone I can trust.
I was dozing on the couch when I heard the barking from the apartment next door. I ended up discovering that the condominium allows animals, I went to make a complaint with the administration, I left there, embarrassed. The new neighbor and the dog, have been here for almost a month. They spent a few weeks away, and returned a few days ago. He still hasn't fixed my door.
I slept too much, it was certainly the wine. Late for work I left without having breakfast and finishing my makeup in the elevator mirror. They are renovating the parking lot of the building, we residents have to leave our cars near the leisure yard. Last night it rained, which makes the floor slippery and the enemy of high heels. I was walking slowly despite the rush. My cell phone started ringing like crazy in my purse, my boss must be furious with my delay. I answered without looking at who it was.
- Sorry, I'm on my way!
- What?
- Mom, I thought I was someone else. I'm late for work, I can't talk now.
- I just want to confirm our dinner today, I will cook for you. - She increased her tone of voice, my mother thinks that speaking out loud is more agile.
- Yes, but I don't have much in the fridge. - I'm basically living on frozen food.
- Don't worry, I'll stop by the grocery store. - Said the loud voice.
- Okay, see you later!
Hanging up, I stopped for a few moments to put my phone in my  purse.
- Dodger, no! - The male voice roared.
The pile of hair leapt over me again, with its paws against my belly.
- Jesus! - I screamed.
The dog's paws are wet and dirty with sand from the yard. That combination created an abstract art on my silk blouse. I felt my face tremble with rage, the animal stopped in front of me with his tongue hanging out and the tail swaying.
- Please, forgive me! - His owner approached, wearing a blue sweater and Patriots cap. - I don't know what happened to him, Dodger is not to go around jumping on people.
- I find it hard to believe. This is the second time he attacks me, use a collar or something. - The damage to my shirt was great.
-He's wearing it, but when he saw you, he let go of my hands and ran towards you. - The man is also confused. - I don't understand, he's not like that.
- Your dog must hate me. - I turned around, I need to change.
I heard his footsteps behind me. In an attempt to hurry and stay away from them, I stepped up.
- Be careful, the floor is slippery and your heels are not the most suitable shoes. - He warned me gently.
It just made me more nervous.
- If you were able to control your dog, I wouldn't need to be running. I'm late for work. - I said annoyed.
- It was an accident, I already apologized. - He's still after me. - What is your size, I'll buy you another shirt.
We arrived at the entrance to the building, stopping and I looked at him.
- The same way you fix my door? - His cheeks were flushed. I confess I didn't expect that reaction, I found it a little charming.
- I forgot, I've been traveling for work and with so many things happening. I'm sorry again, I'll take care of everything. - His tone embarrassed.
He disarmed me, I don't like to embarrass people.
- Don't worry, just make sure Dodger stops jumping on me. - Hearing his name, the dog wagged its tail.
- I think he likes you. - He said with a smile.
I just nodded, shooting for the elevator. Impossible for that dog to like me, I barely know him.
When I got home I came across a new door installed and my mom in the kitchen.
- Good night mom.
- Hi darling. - She smiled while chopping carrots.
- Who installed the door?
- Some men, I was entering when they arrived. - She said. - What caused that hole?
- I'm not sure. - I lied, putting my bag on the counter. - The smell is great.
- It is your favorite, go take your bath soon it will be served.
- Right!
- I was forgetting, the mysterious gift is in your bed. - She smiled excitedly.
- What a gift?
- A delivery boy brought a beautiful Prada box. With a card!
Jesus, he kept his promise. I shot into the room.
After the shower, I picked up the box and the card, which I opened first. The message was handwritten.
“I hope I got the size right. This is an apology from Dodger and me.
C.E "
A kind and polite gesture on his part. I opened the box and got a surprise. He didn't buy me another blouse, which wasn't even a designer, but a beautiful flowered dress with a blue background. He got the size right, I'm not tall and I have my curves and volumes. What drove that man to do that, to buy me such an expensive apology gift.
- What did you win? - My mother curious as soon as I sat at the table.
- Something I will return. - I answered. - I can't accept it's inappropriate.
- Don't tell me it's your boss, that asshole is trying to get into your pants again. - She was annoyed.
- No mother. Daniel never approached me again after I threatened to tell his wife. - I regret telling her. My mother can't forget - The gift is from someone else, but because we don't know each other very well, I can't accept it.
- It does well, you are a Christian girl and should not be accepting gifts around. - She took my hand to pray.
She will spend the night here I don't like that she travels by car at night. While Mom chose a movie, I washed the dishes and made popcorn. I hope she doesn't choose anything biblical.
- Did you put butter?
I settled on the couch next to her.
- No, your cholesterol needs to be under control. - She made a face. - What is the movie?
- One with Captain American, he will rescue some people in danger. - She said picking up some popcorn.
A few minutes of the film passed and I was shocked.
- Jesus! It's him! - I screamed.
- He who?
- My neighbor. - I went back to the scene, pausing on his face. - He has long hair, but it's him.
- Chris Evans is your neighbor, how did you let that pass “y / n”?
So that's why he signed the card with the initials.
- I do not follow the world of Hollywood and celebrities. - He certainly realized that I didn't recognize him. - I thought I recognized him from somewhere, but I didn't associate with any of that. After all, what does a star living in this condo?
- I don't know about that, but it's proof that you need to stop working so hard. You are becoming isolated from the world, even the church ladies are able to recognize this man.
- What a small world. - I mumbled looking at the screen.
- Is he handsome like on TV? - She asked curiously. - For a white boy, of course.
If I say I didn't realize it is a lie.
- Yes, actually even more beautiful. - She laughed.
We went back to watching the movie, which took on another meaning for me.
