#elvis presley#baby elvis#i wish someone had done a comprehensive oral history of Elvis fans#i want to hear about those first shows from multiple perspectives#i want to know exactly how those first girls saw him and how they knew he was something special#i want to read about the sacrifices they made to get close to him#how they formed little communities#it's fascinating social-cultural-psychological-gender history#and if it had been young boys instead i bet there'd be dozens of books#we're lucky to have a little from a few of the super fans like sue- cricket- carol- sandy- Virginia- judy palmer and judy cherry etc#honestly they are so much more detailed than the biographers#they know what's important!
