Honestly!!! It just kinda. Happened one day some months back! But I can't take all the credit for it.

My close friend and I were roleplaying, we kinda joked around about how Dirk would probably unironically find Karamatsu incredibly fascinating and play along w him/be interested by his whole persona shit. And then it spiralled from there! Not only that, but if you think about it, there's a TON that osomatsu san and Homestuck share in common. A lot of character themes, depth, and insanity of it all -- they just. Mesh so well together!

We've done a LOOOOT of writing of them together, honestly tempted to make fics of my own sometime too.... I have so much dirkara I could probably be posting LOL. if the people wanna see it i'll share it!

Anyways, that's honestly how most of my crossover ships start, too. I really do agree that they'd probably have fire chemistry, they're two sides of the same coin; they're so similar in so many ways, it's so NEAT. Dirk and Karamatsu could complete each other in ways that they both desperately need, which...... I could yap forever about it so if you wanna know a lot more in depth, feel free to hit my DMs up and I'll answer any other questions -- this was just a general overview.
