Haha! Ok so I'm still working on a full fic, the next bit in Jin and Pitch's saga BUT! I finalized a brief overview of Hive Cadaver and their final Tallest, Delta! :D

Summary: A brief overview of Hive Cadaver and its final Tallest, Delta. 

Hive Cadaver: This Hive is one of the few long lived Hives of Irk. It was destroyed during the final Irken World War by Tallest Sox. This Hive had an intimate relationship with the cycles of Life and Death. They had many intricate rituals for the various stages of life and the many ways in which Irkens died. Some took several day cycles and required the Priesthood of the Hive to be above ground for all of those cycles. 

Important facts:

Hive Cadaver's genetics screwed towards Melanistic with extra arms and Chitin. The rarest color in the Hive was Blue and those born with that skin color were seen as Signs of Good luck.

The Hive had a unique Genetic mutation, a Third Eye. Unlike most extra eye mutations this eyes would be anywhere on the body and solid black with Several star shaped white Pupils. Those with this eye have a connection to Lady Death and, once the pupils converge, can see into the realm of the dead. A well trained Priest could even speak to the dead. 

The third Eye mutation rarely showed with the Tall Mutation. One usually one over the other, but it wasn't unheard of to have both. 

This Hive was rather peaceful in terms of Irken society. This was in part due to the massive number of pre-battle and post war rituals they had to complete. 

The Hive was destroyed in a tactical Bombardment by Tallest Sox. 

The final Tallest:

Name: Delta

Height: 8ft 1in

Appearance: a thin Very Dark green irken with bright Nearly white eyes. He has a Third eye on his Chest front and center. His Antenna are short and curve outwards to the sides. He is usually smiling.

Personality: Delta is easy going and respectful. He started off small as could be and worked for years as a smaller drone to a Priest in his Smeethood. Once his Growth spurt hit, he never forgot the kindness and pressure of being small. He carries on with a smile and usually skips most places. When the need calls for it Delta can be Shrewd and brutal towards his hives Enemies. He knows every single ritual for the death of an enemy and is willing to preform them alone if it means his Hive is safe. He never sends his drones to do something He himself wouldn't do. But at his Core Delta is Truely a Romantic and he only ever had one love. Tallest Kii. His stubborn nature means he stuck around after death to watch over Kii, even if it is just as a friend he will be content. 

History: Tallest Delta was born the last of a Swarm of 100. He and his siblings were close as could be and several entered the priesthood when the Coddle drones noticed their third eyes. Delta stayed the same size as his siblings for years before growing many feet practically over night. This was common among Hive Cadaver's Tallests especially when they also had the third eye. Delta was then trained and drilled in every kind of Life and Death ritual and took to it quickly. Once his Former Tallest Passed Delta took control easily. He was a well liked priest and no one questioned his loyalty. After years of relative peace Delta met the new tallest of his Neighbor, and fell in love almost instantly. Tallest Kii had attacked to try and force the Hive into an alliance, truely all she needed to do was ask but she had to show her power. Delta and Kii battled abd Delta saw her Passion and her love for her hive in each blow. The records have his first words recorded as "Tallest Kii, your passion shines in everybody! Your height commands and you wails of battle are infectious! Truely this is the best day of my life!" She never heard them. But the two ended in a draw and Delta entered an alliance with Kii. At first Kii was sharp and condescending towards Delta, thinking him soft. Only when his Shrewd sense of justice shone through did Kii take him seriously. His love for Kii never interfered with his work as a Tallest. His Hive were happy he found someone to love as he had encouraged them to do. But Delta never made a move. He saw how Soxx and Hix shoved themselves onto Kii and the pressure it put her under, so he remained a friend and was content. Delta was there for every miscarriage, giving the smeets their rites in death and comforting Kii as best he could. When her Smeetries were bombed the first time Delta did something shocking to all who knew him. He declared war upon Soxx and Hjx first. Before he followed Kii's steps or was attacked first. He cut supplies from Sox, Tampered with his Hive's technology and outright slaughtered his forces. However Delta made a mistake. He never invested in long range weapons of Mass Destruction and never even considered that his enemy would sacrifice millions of his own Drones. Sox sent troops to Hive Cadaver to weaken and overrun them. Delta fought back as best he could but it was all for naught. As he stood guard over his Hive's Smeets and Cadets as his Hive was attacked Lady Death appeared. The brief conversation that occurred revealed Delta's true self. No records remain of this talk. But it was noted by one of his Priests who haunted the Hive that Delta was ready and willing to give up all dignity and pride to save the smeets and Cadets. He said he would grovel before Sox if it meant these young ones had the chance to escape to Kii's Hive. But that chance never came. Sox bombed the Hive wiping out the entire Hive in one go, along with millions of Sox's own drones. When Delta awoke to the afterlife he was laying above ground on the ruins of his Hive. His Priests surrounded him, and Kii was giving them their rites. A 3 day ritual held above ground for Hives that were destroyed in their entirety. Delta was touched by the gesture and stayed beside Kii as a spirit. In the Control Brain Era he sticks to the Smeetries near Kii. He sends his Priests to the Morgues to mess with Soxx. He and his priests still preform their rites of life and death for Modern Irk. Sometimes a Morgue student will hear whispers from one of the priests teaching them. Delta takes great joy in frustrating Soxx and Hixx. The two know he is there as he doesn't stay hidden. Kii hasn't seen him yet. Delta still loves Kii and won't leave her side. He is sad to see what has become of Kii but he will not leave her side. Not Now nor ever again!

Kii managed to make 2 fellow tallest fall for her in the heat of battle... and sadly the one she possibly could have fallen for in return (had she just lost focus on her own power trips) was obliterated by the one she could never love in return...

In some regards, Kii might not have deserved Delta. Maybe deep down she knew that too. I'm glad she respected their friendship enough to give him a proper funeral, so it goes to show she had (has?) some sense of decency.

Your head canons on how the tallests and their hives interacted/ conducted themselves are so vivid.
