Hey remember those times in the Pokémon fandom when people got really weirdly fatphobic over Tabitha and Gordie?

#pokemon#gordie pokemon#magma admin tabitha#like people thought Tabitha's design change was a downgrade even tho before he looked like a generic grunt#and everyone misconstrued gordie's character and liked his mom way more cuz she was “acceptably thicc”#keep in mind swsh came out in 2019 I'm pretty sure we were aware of the concept of fatphobia then#then again the fatphobia towards gordie was a bit sneakier#I'm honestly surprised people seemed to like professor neroli when his design dropped considering what happened before#and i know the fandom's warmed up to tabitha and gordie and this is all old hat but as a fat person myself i still think about it
