I'm fine with that. For drunk driving especially, I think the fines should be extremely punitive because the consequences can be so severe and you can just not.
"Drunk driving fines are disproportionately harsh on low-income people."
Man, if only there were some way to avoid those.
#i know there are also problems with enforcement#because i have working class friends who have had to get breathlocks installed for sleeping in their car#and i know a lawyer's kid who has like 8 DUIs including a fatality
