the notes on that post are going to make me lose my fucking mind
the average iq of the "smart" people this person has encountered is room temp at BEST
#this is not a dig against agatha christie by any means i was raised by a poirot and marple superfan#but her books are incredible readable#as are grisham's and sanderson's#the only book of condie's i'm familiar with is an actual YA dystopia series lmao. but apparently she has other books#and i haven't read krakauer but he write the book on chris mccandless so i assume readable but not very intense#i don't think there's anything wrong with that type of author btw#i love ann patchett i love maeve binchy. those are books for adults that are well written#but you don't need to use your brain to figure out what's going on#it's like a charcuterie board rather than a lunchable. it's much better quality but it's not really enriching your brain#щ
