me: its been a while since i last wrote anything i should really get my ass in gear i've got like maybs 2 chapters until im done w the current arc....

my muse: lol write your not-posted wip instead

my muse: this wip is now 25k words and you won't be able to post it for at least 25k words more

#shut up danni's talking #sobs i wanna write locked out but im blocked on it i think #i need to post a chapter to get that motivation from comments but i need to advertise for betas w it #and i don't have that all sorted yet since im gonna need betas to help smooth out locked out and make it flow better #so i can't continue writing locked out until i post the next chapter #but i need to sort out the beta stuff before i can post the next chapter #and i can't write anything until i get some motivation boost from reader interactions #its kinda like one of those endless cyclical things sigh #and thus: working on my other wip #anyways its a dp/ml/dc fic but only two parts of it interact at once w the third joining like halfway through #and i can't write the third part until i get to where one part is aware of the other #but i wanna make it less like a 'suddenly x is here' by adding in scenes before that so i need to write those after and space them out #that way it's not too weighted on one side to suddenly flip to the other #just makes writing v slow lmao so it's deffo not getting posted until i've integrated the two parts together which is #at the halfway point of a longfic rip to me
