the thing about the tkachuk-huberdeau trade is that tkachuk was meant to be a panther but huberdeau absolutely was not meant to be a flame. so every time I see tkachuk putting up insane numbers in his first season with the cats I'm so happy for him because he got out of a place where he wasn't thriving and found a place where he belongs but I'm also devastated because I'm reminded of huberdeau absolutely suffering up in calgary and how drastically his numbers fell off this season...and like its pretty rare for a player to immediately click with their new team the way tkachuk has and maybe it'll just take time for huberdeau to settle in but the energy on the flames has been absolutely abysmal this season and I kind of doubt that
