"Your Dad!"
Monday 3rd May 2021
I'M BACK!!!!!!!! Hello again folks! I know it's been a super hot minute since I last posted! I've been working all the hours under the sun, but I'm back! I've actually binged watched a whole week's worth of EastEnders in an attempt to catch up - so instead of blogging about a whole week of stuff you've already watched I'm just going to list the main moments that have grabbed my attention:-
Martin and Whitney still grieving for Kush
The fact Kush's body will be transferred to Dubai / Whitney unable to hold a funeral for her fiancé
Isaac opening up to Patrick about his schizophrenia / learning about Paul
Amy trolling Janet online about her modelling
Gray and Whitney's plan to take down the Mitchell's
Isaac thinking he's been mis-diagnosed
Bernadette offering to be Rainie & Stuart's surrogate
Bailey over-hearing Karen & Mitch discussing money issues
Nancy & Tamwar are getting a divorce
Mila's Mum finding her
Ben & Callum's wedding venue going bust / getting married in two weeks time
Nancy choosing to be sterilized because she doesn't want children
Bailey running away!
Wow, a lot of drama and a lot of emotion! But now I've highlighted the main points of the previous week, I'm going to focus on Monday's episode! The first thing I am going to mention is the Taylors. All over the Square they have put up Missing posters of Bailey. The poor family are going out of their minds worrying where the little girl could've gone. Even though the family are searching the Square and further afield, Mitch gets the feeling that the police are starting to point the finger at him when they come knocking and demanding to search both Bailey's room and his own room. Jack tries their best to persuade Mitch and Karen that it's just precaution incase they might've missed anything - but after Keegan's past with the police, its seems that Mitch is starting to feel like the police are blaming him for his daughter's disappearance. One thing that does tip him over the edge though is when Jack asks him to go down to the station to make statement - to simply talk about anything which might've happened at home for Bailey to run away. Even though Mitch mentions that Bailey lost her Mum and her older sister within the space of a year, she's a strong, brave and smart child. But for a split moment, you see a look in Karen's eyes - knowing full well that the family are struggling with money issues at the moment, she thinks that maybe Mitch going to the station would help, but Mitch has none of it!
Later as he storms out of the apartment, both Keegan and Bernie are eager to help search for young Bailey, as well as putting new posters up. It seems that Mitch has informed Keegan about what's been happening at home, as when Keegan suggests that maybe going to the station might help the police in finding Bailey, Mitch raises his voice to his son informing that there's no way he'll be going to the police station. But then, little Amy approaches asking whether there has been any sign of Bailey, to which Mitch responds with negative emotion - claiming that if Bailey had been found, he wouldn't be on the streets handing out flyers. But realising he spoke to Amy in a horrible way, he apologies to the young girl and asks whether she might know anything, whether Bailey was having any trouble at school.
Interestingly, Amy happens to mention that she was getting laughed at by a boy at school because of her shoes, informing Mitch that she had tried to use glue to stick her shoes back together after falling apart. But then she also mentions that there was one lunchtime when Bailey spent it in the toilets crying because she couldn't afford to go the space camp. Thinking that Amy might be mistaken - he claims that Bailey had informed them that it was all expense paid. But Amy confirms that that isn't true, poor Mitch is absolutely devastated to learn that his daughter has lied, also realising that she actually never went to this school event, simply because her parents/guardians couldn't afford for her to go.
For some reason, I personally don't understand why Bailey has run away. She knows she's in a home where she is completely loved, does she feel that maybe her family would be better off without her? Does she feel guilty because she's wanted to do something which her family can't afford? Either way, I hope Bailey will be safe and she comes home soon, and eventually the Taylor's will get back on their feet!
--
The next brief thing I have to mention is Bobby. We haven't seen him for a while, have we? We last saw him going on brief dates and trying to get himself out there to meet new people, but of course under a false name. Is Bobby now maybe thinking he wants to make a go of having a proper serious relationship with someone? Is he now ready to for a long lasting relationship? Even though Kathy questions whether he'll be bringing a plus one to Ben & Callum's wedding, Bobby informs her that he's just going to take it slow with the dating game - keep his options open. But then he interestingly admits he may sign up to Kim's dating agency, The Foxcatcher!
Kathy tries to reassure her Grandson that he doesn't need to join her dating agency, he's a good looking lad who can meet anyone anywhere if he really wanted. However, as Kim is sorting her flyers and her business in the Cafe, Bobby asks whether he's free to take one and asks whether it's worth him giving it a go. Kim tries her best to reassure him that as soon as he's filled all the leaflets in, she'll be able to find him someone who's a perfect match - but she does admit that maybe it would be best if he didn't mention he had been in prison, but in a way tries to remain positive by telling the teenager "It's good to have a bit of mystery!" … Will The Foxcatcher actually work for Bobby? I'm intrigued to see if he does eventually meet someone who'll accept him for who he is, regardless of his past.

Meanwhile, in other areas of the Square, Linda is furious after learning that Nancy is wanting to be sterilized after announcing she doesn't want to have children. Linda can't seem to understand why he daughter can't just take contraception like every one else, I guess she kind of fears for her daughter that in a few years time she might change her mind about having children and regret what she's done. As Linda voices her concerns to Mick, she doesn't seem to realise that Nancy is listening to every word she's saying. As Nancy makes herself known, she decides to tell her Mum straight that she has an appointment in two weeks time to be sterilized and there's nothing they can do to stop her, at the end of the day, it's her body and it's her decision - even informing her Mum that the clinic she is going to is a legit clinic and she's not seeing some dodgy doctor off the internet, as she throws a leaflet on the dinner table.
I guess Linda's reaction is understandable, she's worried for her daughter and wants her to do the right thing, however she can't seem to grasp that Nancy simply doesn't want to have children - ever! As Nancy disappears and she's left with Mick, she gushes about how she was looking forward to becoming a Grandparent and spoiling her Grandchildren - but then just because Nancy doesn't want children, doesn't mean she won't ever become a Grandparent! She then decides to plead to Mick to speak to their daughter, considering that Nancy has always been a "Daddy's Girl" - she might listen to what he has to say. Even though Mick agrees to speak to her, he makes to point out that he can't make any promises on her changing her mind, but he also mentions that he wants Linda to promise not to give Nancy any more agro, to which she reluctantly agrees to.
Later as Mick and Nancy are enjoying a drink together, Mick opens up to his daughter, claiming that he wants Nancy and Frankie to get along - even though I personally thought that they were, did you guys feel the same or have I missed something? Of course learning she had a half-sister must've been hard for Nancy, but since she's returned she seems to have been nice to Frankie, even acknowledging that Frankie isn't to blame for what happened to her Dad, technically they are both victims by the same woman. However, as the conversation carries on, he pleads his daughter to give her Mum one last chance. I also do have to admit that I love the fact that Mick mentioned that he's the only male living with a family of female's and, in all honestly he can't be living with all the emotion and hormones flying everywhere - typical man really isn't he?! But to keep the piece Nancy agrees to give her Mum one final chance, however whilst they're having this conversation - back at home, Linda appears to have called up the clinic portraying as Nancy - I have a horrible feeling that Linda is going to do something she really shouldn't! Is she going to jeopardise her relationship with her daughter?! (I know the majority of you have already seen Tuesday's episode, but I'm leaving that for tomorrow!)
--
Finally the last thing I have to mention of course is Ballum! After trying to approach Whitney and try and be the supportive friend, Whitney still wants nothing to do with Callum. In her mind, he is marrying the person who basically killed her fiancé! (Deep down in my stomach I am screaming that she's got it all wrong!) Whitney claims that Callum needs to know who he's marrying and once he knows the truth, will he still go through with the wedding? Recalling about their own wedding, she claims that keeping secrets is the worst thing to do before getting married. Even though Callum tries to stick up for Ben claiming that he knows exactly who he is, it looks as if Whitney's words begin to play on his mind.
Later as Callum returns home, Ben appears to be heading out, eager to find out where he's going Callum questions his fiancé's plans, but the only piece of information that Ben will give him is that he has a meeting. He's not telling him where and not telling him with who, which of course makes Callum speculate even more that perhaps Whitney could be right?!
But unbeknown to Callum, Ben actually has a wonderful surprise in store for his fiancé. Both he and Stuart are seen preparing to meet someone, dressed in their fine clobber Stuart marks Ben 6 out of 10 for his efforts! Ben is looking nervous and it seems that the reason why soon bursts through the door of the cafe. The arrival of Stuart and Callum's Nan - Violet Highway! It made me giggle when she mistook Ben for someone who actually worked at the Cafe, bless poor Stuart had to remind his old Nan that Ben is actually the one marrying Callum. My first impression of Violet is that she seems friendly, very quirky and seems to be open-minded about her Grandson being homosexual, Ben also seems to have made a good impression on his Nan.
But as Ben attempts to surprise his fiancé' by bringing his Nan back home, Callum catches him completely off guard and questions him straight on whether had had anything to do with Kush's death. To be honest the look on Ben's face looks disappointed and completely heartbroken, he's completely stunned that he's even been asked that question. As the silence between them is immense, Violet pops her head around the door, acknowledging her Grandson. Of course, poor Callum realises his horrendous mistake and is absolutely mortified to even speculate that Ben would've been involved in Kush's death. Ben looks across the room at Callum with really hard-hitting disappointed eyes, to be honest, at this moment I really felt sorry for him.
Even though Callum is thrilled to see his Nan, it's clear that the tension between Callum and Ben becomes slightly obvious, as Violet asks whether there's trouble in paradise already. As Stuart realises that Ben and Callum need space, he suggests that he gives his Nan a tour of Walford. At this moment Ben is deeply hurt by Callum's doubts about him. He even reassures Callum that since he's been a part of his life, he has completely changed his ways, and he's gone through so many lengths to prove himself to him, mentioning that he's wanted to have a completely clean slate with him.
But then, as Callum realises that Ben is being truthful, he knows that he's going to have tell him some truths if they're going to get married. I didn't see this coming to be honest but it did have me worried - Callum admits that the slate isn't as clean as Ben might think it is. As Ben looks up in confusion, Callum begins to explain that he lied about being undercover a while back. Ben's face drops as he takes in everything his fiancé' is saying. Callum tries to defend himself claiming that he never had a choice and he only did it to protect Ben, but DI Thompson wasn't target, and in actual fact - it was Phil! The pure look of shock on Ben's face says it all really doesn't it?!
I do feel for Callum, but I do hope that Ben will be able to understand Callum's actions. Will he understand that Callum was in a way being blackmailed to do it? DI Thompson was really the ones out to get them, plus Callum went back on it all, didn't he? He did change his mind! I know guys might've seen it already, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the next episode - will Ballum survive and be able to pull through this?!
Tumblr media
So before I end this blog post, I have to mention that EastEnders have announced that Harry Redknapp is going to have a cameo appearance in the soap! I have to be honest, I don't know how I feel about this news, I personally think it's a bit silly, but then again it might be pretty good? It is just for a small cameo role and as far as I know, he will be playing himself - although I've not seen anything mentioned otherwise. His appearance will happen during the European Championships in the summer. How do you guys feel about this celebrity appearance? I'm intrigued to hear your thoughts on this one! Maybe it won't be too bad? I guess we'll have to wait and see!
Thank you all for reading! I am so happy to be back, I'll be back again tomorrow following Tuesday's episode! Enjoy the rest of your evening folks! Love you all xXx

ESFJ x ISFP is not ideal relationship.
💝I don’t say this couple is failing. It just means there are many difficulties and you can get close anytime if you try and care. If you try to be considerate, you will create a compatible compatibility.
🛑Most of the compatibility charts circulating on the Internet have been discussed by Facebook Group and analyzed in detail, and it is judged to be false because there is no solid basis. Therefore, you can ignore it and move on. What I want to say while writing this is that I cannot give clarity to this logic.
🚫Please refrain from excessive blind faith. It relationship hard, but it doesn’t really make your relationship that way. Relationships are determined by the environment and the situation, and the theory of relationships does not fully explain them.
ESFJ and ISFP are not ideal match. And their real relationship.
This is observation, experience, analysis. I don’t want to hurt you with this article. I just want to tell you the truth. I’m talking for you, for false knowledge. We must realize this and we must not neglect it. We must seek and dig the truth.
urgently notifying you because the wrong information has been leaked in Google search.
I’m ready to respect them even if they disagree. Google’s personality page says, “ESFJ’s natural partners are ISFP and INFP.” That’s actually wrong. In the theory of Socionics, ISFP and ESFJ are the contrary relationship.
All of these errors began with the distortion of the theory of perspective. They saw in the Socionics that the mirror relationship was the best in the middle, and the Socionics type and MBTI type were so similar that they misinterpreted the contrary relationship as a mirror relationship that they made the wrong information.
Socionics contrary relationship is ESFJ and ISFP.Socionics type ISFp — SiFe psychological functions use= MBTI ISFJ type.Socionics type ISFj — FiSe psychological functions use= MBTI ISFP type.
quote from the following article.https://www.socionics.com/rel/cnt.htmhttps://www.crystalknows.com/personality-type/relationship/isfp-esfj
1. Personality is different because the functions are different. This difference can cause many conflicts.
Psychological function of ESFJ (harmonious)
Primary function (dominant function, highest ability): extroverted emotion (Fe)
Secondary function (a function supporting primary function): Introvert sense (Si)
3rd function (a little bit less, but soon more usable when developed): extrovert intuition (Ne)
Quadratic function (too low function=too low critical weakness): Introverted thinking (Ti)
Psychological Function of ISFP (Artistic)
Primary function (dominant function, highest ability): Introverted emotion (Fi)
Secondary Function (a function supporting primary function): Extrovert sense (Se)
3rd function (a little bit less, but soon more usable when developed): Introvert intuition (Ni)
Quadratic function (too low function=too low critical weakness): extroverted thinking (Te)
Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that the contrary relationship is true in Socionics theory. Their four functions are all the opposite, so their minds and values are different. This difference is likely to cause many conflicts. Also, their psychological functions can misunderstand and distort each other’s thoughts because of different languages.
2. In the theory of socionics, ESFJ and ISFP are diametrically contrary relationships. In other words, they belong to a bad relationship.
3. This relationship is very insufficient and bad. Because they can complement each other’s weaknesses a little bit personally. But it’s just a little bit. This relationship’s each personality is also the opposite.
4. In these relations, it is difficult to achieve full understanding. Despite mutual interests and common ground, partners often argue about petty details, to which they tend to pay too much attention. These relations are called “extinguishment” because partners extinguish each other’s initiatives — sometimes by highlighting their shortcomings, other times by their inability to further and support such initiatives. With such a partner, it is difficult to find considerable support for one’s projects, but it is always interesting to exchange opinions, suggestions and requests. Contrary partners get along better when they work separately, since together they pay too much attention to minor mistakes of each other. Such criticism are received especially painfully in the presence of strangers. Third partner upsets this delicate balance even more. If someone’s personal interests have been infringed upon, these relations can fall apart. They are more tolerant at a certain distance. With close and prolonged contact, fatigue and irritation set in due to protracted disputes.
5. Here, provide four identical functions in different directions to two people on the same channel. And, simultaneously — not a single identical communication function for the same function. This means that these partners do not have an important area to have the same perspective.
If attention is paid to external processes through extroverted functions, the other focuses on internal states through introverted functions, and vice versa. As a result, it becomes difficult for these partners to understand and agree with each other, if they intentionally intend to look at the same problem from the opposite perspective — this is sometimes beneficial for creative research.
So during the meeting, they are attracted to each other’s “mystery.” This often leads to hasty union and marriage among people in this relationship. Not surprisingly, the lives of spouses in these families can be quite tense and difficult, often in danger of breaking up or divorce.
5. ESFJ and ISFP communicate well when interacting one-on-one, and sometimes they are amazed at the ingenuity of each other’s insights and approaches. However, the third participant often breaks this balance. Partners see the same problem from a completely different perspective. If one person observes the external characteristics of an object, the other person observes its internal characteristics. Because in the case of another person, the function is directed in a completely different direction. It’s as if they’re speaking different languages. Therefore, communication becomes somewhat superficial. It is very difficult to do something together and coordinate behavior because even the details lack attention. Partners often feel attracted to each other, mainly because of the mystery that fuels their mutual curiosity. In assumptions formed between opposing types, we find it difficult for partners to reach an agreement, which strain these relationships.
ESFJ and ISFP is Socionics contrary relationship Description
These are relations of an unstable psychological distance. Both partners experience difficulties in establishing and keeping a stable psychological distance between them. The only chance Contrary partners have to get on together well with each other is if they are left alone. In other cases partners usually compete over their strong sides. The reason for this is when somebody else is present, each partner tries to capture the attention of the listener by showing off their strong side. Contrary partners may like some elements of the other partner’s behaviour. This often helps the partners to begin a more close relationship. However, when they are in company, their interaction can change dramatically. The introvert partner usually becomes distant, relations lose warm feelings and become formal and cautious. Both partners may start regretting that they became too trustful. The extrovert partner normally gets the false impression that the introvert partner is deliberately acting against them. This can bring a great deal of misunderstanding and surprise into these relations, as both partners are convinced that before everything was fine. The introvert partner usually starts suppressing the activity of the extrovert partner and may reproach and criticise them. The extrovert partner in return can behave in the same way.The most vulnerable position in these relations belongs to the extrovert partner, who may feel as if they are being betrayed. As a result the extrovert partner could start to worry excessively about their next step so as not to make any mistakes and may therefore become very suspicious. Unfortunately the extrovert partner cannot see that their introvert partner is not as bad as they have begun to imagine.
Relationship Guide
CommunicationHow can ISFP and ESFJ types communicate effectively with each other?ISFP and ESFJ personalities both possess the Sensing and Feeling traits, meaning they are present-focused, conscientious, and enjoy communicating emotionally. However, ISFPs are also more reserved and adaptable, while ESFJs tend to be charismatic and organized. “write it in the sky” by kina grannis (ken loi remix)
9. what is something you feel strongly about? tell us a bit about it!
john cage’s music is actually pretty interesting if you take the time to really listen and understand. i appreciate his philosophy of music being anything that makes sound, including silence. silence can be meaningful, too.

i care about school because education is important, not only for learning new things, but also to develop your critical thinking skills, apply what you learn to real-life situations, and figure out who you are. i hope to graduate successfully by spring 2019, and i’m considering going to graduate school and getting my master’s degree in audio engineering. i’d love to work for a large entertainment company someday, and i’d like to have my own studio and produce an original album as well! :D

How to Speed Up Firefox
Tumblr media
Your web browser of choice is truly the gateway into accessing the global Internet. The web has been growing exponentially, and we have seen tremendous changes to browsing software as well. Mozilla has been keeping up well considering the recent release of Firefox 10 which has seen mostly positive review. But as we all know, your web browser tends to slow down over time with repeated use. Firefox is not immune to this, but there are some tweaks you can use to optimize the browsing experience. The key values we’re looking for include startup speed, reduced load times, and accessible web pages. Check out some of my tips in the guide below if you’re looking to enhance the Firefox experience!
Quick Shortcut Commands
A good place to start is with a few handy keyboard shortcuts. These can be difficult to memorize at first, but over repeated use you’ll begin to adopt the routine. And I feel there’s no better way to speed up your web browsing experience than mastering a few shortcut keys. Only a couple examples may seem relevant to your needs. We don’t all require the same knowledge and so one command may be totally pointless to somebody else. If you check through Google you’ll likely find very helpful articles for the more common shortcuts.
1. Clear Private Data
Security is of the utmost importance to consider whenever you’re surfing the web. Even by today’s standards things are a lot less risky than 5 or 10 years ago. But you should understand how private browsing data is stored and what you can do to clear your info.
Tumblr media
This short menu which pops up is a condensed version of the settings panel. You can choose how far back in time to clear out along with specific types of data such as cookies, cached pages, active login sessions, etc. I recommend that you clear everything within the list every time you close down the browser window. This is only my personal preference to keep my data secure – but of course you should adopt some form of routine cleanup which works best for you. Shortcut – Ctrl + Shift + Delete
2. Add-Ons Toolbar
The Firefox add-ons menu is a small toolbar which appears at the bottom of your Firefox window. From here you can access add-on commands and menus which are normally reserved from within the regular plug-ins area. This may be one of the lesser-known shortcuts but does come in handy frequently. If you like to keep your browser slim with reduced add-ons then this may pose as a bit uninteresting. And I have to agree that fewer 3rd-party extensions means much quicker browser performance. Just keep this in mind as you’re testing out new add-ons from time to time. Shortcut – Ctrl + /
3. Open Downloads Window
There have been numerous instances using Firefox where I’ve been downloading files and accidentally clicked out of the downloads window. It’s a harmless gesture, though it can be a pain to find your menu again. This command brings up not just your active downloads but also recent history of previous files – very handy when you forget which folder you saved into! Shortcut – Ctrl+J Note: For Mac users, replace Ctrl with Command.
Increase Local Cache Storage
When Firefox saves a cached version of website content it reduces any future requests needed for re-downloading code. By default you can only max out to 1GB of saved cache from the web. But this is likely such a small amount compared to your overall disk space, it’s well worth the effort to update your cache sizes. I recall Firefox 8.0 had local cache storage at 256MB by default. Honestly this is a fair amount of room, especially if you’re clearing out private data at the end of each session. Yet if you browse for hours at a time each repeat website visit will accumulate possibly 10-15 minutes of saved load screens.

In the top menu open Tools -> Options or Firefox -> Preferences... on Mac and click on the Advanced Tab. Somewhere in the middle of this menu you’ll see “Limit cache to” along with a number input. I’ve chosen 1024MB which happens to be the maximum allowed. Simply hit OK and restart the browser for this to take effect.
Popular yet Minimalist Add-Ons
It’s a good idea to keep wary of installing too many extensions into Firefox. The browser will begin to lag fairly quickly if you neglect to disable unused add-ons, but luckily it’s also an easy process to remove them. Below are a couple of the most popular user-voted add-ons which won’t interfere with your speed or page performance.
1. Download Status Bar
In particular this is a very helpful addon I’ve come to love since first installing. The download statusbar is not obtrusive or even displayed in any way until you download a file. Instead of having a new window appear you get a neat toolbar at the very bottom of your browser window.

From this you can check the total file size and amount remaining, along with an estimate of time remaining for the download to complete. You can single-click on a file to pause and even remove items from the queue. My process of downloading files has become more streamlined than ever now that I’m not dealing with a new window for my items list. If you haven’t tried this out yet I highly recommend giving it a shot!
2. WOT – Check Trustworthy Websites
The funky plug-in with a weird name actually has taken me by surprise! As the title says: WOT – Know Which Websites to Trust provides a rating for every website you visit. These are backed by users of the software who have given rankings to sites all over the Internet.
Tumblr media
Many users feel this has little-to-no purpose since you can gauge the legitimacy of a website within the first few seconds of landing. Definitely true, but I do frequently cycle through random websites found in social network communities like StumbleUpon. In this scenario I feel WOT hasn’t provided any first step security, but it does help me build credibility and trust for domains I run into through differing sources.
3. Element Hiding Helper for ABP
Most Firefox users are familiar with Adblock Plus which has proven time and again as a sure-fire ads remover. From this core a developer Wladimir Palantfrom ABP released an extension called Element Hiding Helper. Now you can target any specific page element and choose to block it regardless of the internal content. This is perfect for when you don’t want to block all advertisements on a website but you need to remove 1 or 2 of them for whatever reason. Often times video websites will have loud audio ads start playing out of nowhere – and this plug-in is the perfect remedy. You can choose to remove things other than advertisements, such as annoying JavaScript apps or specific HTML blocks within the page layout.
4. Speed Dial
This feature has become standard to users of the Opera browser and more recently has been picked up by Google Chrome. Yet the speed dial home page setup was never implemented into Firefox in any majorly functional way.

This plug-in gives you total control over which links appear where in the 9-box grid system. You have easy access to manipulate settings as well, such as default thumbnail height/width and a few keyboard shortcuts. Overall the software has a lot of support from the Mozilla userbase. System Edits in about:config
Firefox users have the ability to edit internal variables within the software from the configuration area. Simply open a new tab, type about:config and hit enter. You’ll come to a warning page mentioning the dangers of blindly changing these settings. But we know what we’re doing, so just hit “I’ll be careful” and you’ll be directed to sorted table of values.

Each of the values in the far left column are associated with a type of variable name. These control instances of how the software runs and performs in the background. I have just a few suggestions for reliable edits.
1. Increase pipelining
In the filter box at the top type in network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. This should limit your field to a single value row set at 4. We can increase this number to 8, which means Firefox can request data through 8 different channels rather than 4 – greatly decreasing your waiting time! Once you edit this value above you’ll need to enable pipelining to see any major effects. Do a search for network.http.pipelining and the first value should be set to false by default. You want to change this to true by double-clicking on the table row.
2. Disable placeholder images
Sometimes when Firefox realizes a page is going to take a while to download it will apply placeholder images. This is to prevent page content from rendering improperly while waiting for the image data. It seems like a good idea in concept, and it does have value but I feel disabling this feature will keep the requested content organized. In the filter box do a search for browser.display.show_image_placeholders which should be set as true. Double-click to change this to false and we should be all set.
3. Disable interface animations
While we’re removing unnecessary features let’s turn our attention to the browser UI. By default Firefox uses a small animation effect whenever you open or switch onto a new tab. It seems small at a glance but once you disable this you’ll be shocked at how much quicker you can move and create tabs. Just do a search for browser.tabs.animate and change the value to false.
4. Increase persistent connections
This variable is similar to pipelining except now we’re looking to open more connections on the server end. This is set much lower at first to keep Firefox downloading at a steady pace. But if you are downloading larger content such as streaming audio or video more persistent connections will mean more data collected at once. In the filter box enter network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server and you should find only one result. By default the value should be 6, but double-click and change to 8. Then hit okay and restart your browser for these effects to kick in!
Conclusion
With so many options in today’s browser market Firefox appears to be holding a steady place. Their engineers know how to build stable software as it has been a reliable brand for years. With the endless number of plugins and extensions free to download there are solutions for practically any problem. I hope these tips can provide a solid foundation for optimizing your web browsing experience. If you have any other great ideas for speeding up Firefox please let us know in the discussion area.
