I met up with a friend today at the library in a reserved room and we just read back and forth to each other from their copy of the Decameron and my copy of the short stories of Oscar Wilde back and forth, with banter in between the stories about what we were reading but otherwise minimal small talk. It slammed

#it was so awesome #i had always wanted to do a hangout like that #at one point we also walked to a convenience store and got snackies. i had a dogger pebber #tales from diana #and we also left while the sun was still up but did spend a good amount of hours in there #i realized i read rather fast when i read aloud and i should slow it down a bit. it's not a race!!#i got that adhd sense of urgency. but i am more focused when i read aloud #i was laughing a lot when i was reading the remarkable rocket. i had forgotten how funny it was #i mainly just remembered the joke where he says 'pylotechnics' and is corrected 'pyrotechnics'#and he says 'i call them pylotechnics'#i first read that story like 8 or 9 years ago. and pylotechnics never left me
