#EXACTLY #that scene happens for a reason and it is to show how affected by the sabre spirit nmj is and how that's affecting their relationship #he is more strict with nhs in a way he didn't used to be #and he does a very cruel thing by burning nhs' belongings which is something he obviously never did before #nhs didn't even seem to believe he would do something like this #it's painfully obvious that the only thing nmj was ever strict about was nhs' studies #plus #why do people think a story that's building nhs as a mastermind behind the scenes would hide the good moments of his relationship with nmj #if not to make it less obvious that hes the one person who loved and cared about nmj the most to manipulate the whole narrative??#wouldn't it be obvious if mxtx chose to write the happy moments and emphasize how much they cared about each other instead?#fatal journey could do that because it was released after cql; everybody who watches it already knows about the plot #in fact it makes their scenes more necessary; because now that we know what nhs did we wanna see why; we want to see what he lost #what they were like before the war; how they were with each other after the fights #that would make the original story's twist predictable #it's a good thing we're not entitled to fully understand their relationship in the book; eveverything we need to understand is that #nhs loved nmj enough to do everything he did
