people who don’t understand narcissistic abuse differentiates from typical abuse and why the label is important don’t actually know anything about disorders or the history of our understanding of abuse and I do not fuck with them
#literally whenever I see a post crying about that term I just block the person#like sorry you're ignorant and haven't actually bothered to look up why we distinguish various types of abuse that way#but there are actual reasons for it#and as someone with a cluster B disorder myself I can also tell you that it's up to me not to fall into typical patterns of abuse#and getting performatively mad at people saying [x form of abuse] about my disorder doesn't help me or them#it's just whining bullshit#if you know you have your shit in check then it's not about you#get over yourself lol#also I can't type and am drunk rn so just little typing check on myself here:#when I said ''typical'' in reference to myself in the tags here#I meant typical for my disorder#not typical as in typical abuse#which is different from abuse typical to certain disorders etc etc etc#like typical abuse from a parent who for eg becme a parent too young and is just a shitty parent#is different from x specific label of abuse#literally all these labels exist for a reason#the methods of abuse are different for all of them#and it helps survivors to be able to actually identify those methods and why they work in the patterns they do#but yeah just keep crying because abuse victims used a term you didn;t like w/e crybaby
