Admittedly, I haven't been daring with this aspect of Dain but I'm feeling bolder since a while about the premise that he knows what will happen in the future and that, since the prophecy of Fontaine was already carved in Irminsul a long time ago according to Nahida, that he could know about that too. Mona said that knowing about a future like that that can affect the entirety of Teyvat equals someone to being a visionary and personally, I'd love to touch more into that in interactions. Something like meeting a long-living species in the past where he tells them that "x will happen" with certainty and not elaborating any further, only for that someone to find out time after that what Dain said actually happened. Just something about squeezing one of the titles attributed to him, this one being: confluence between the past and the future.

I really wanna talk about jonah vt movie's latin american spanish dub. not for any particular reason, it's just super interesting to me. the first time I saw jonah was actually off of piled together clips on YouTube but they were all in the spanish dub so I technically saw I'd first with that, and not the entire thing.
so when we found an actual copy of the dvd, I saw that it came with the spanish dub, so watched the movie again with the dub on and... well, that's where it gets interesting. I'll preface by saying that I like the spanish dub, it's just- pretty different from the english original.
firstly, Bob. I noticed that in the original dubbed shows, they gave him like a kinda grouchy sounding voice (a trend I actually noticed in a good portion of the other dubs) jonah does the same thing. he sounds like- the best thing I can describe him to is like, oscar the grouch's voice honestly. then there Junior's dad, who just sounds like tiso from hollow knight. I'm not kidding, the voices feel like exactly the same. then Junior; he does not sound like a little guy. his voice actress is was the dub voice for buttercup and has like a tomboy/preteen character portfolio, so I can guess the dubbing studio probably felt like Junior should sound a little more mature? or more boyish I guess. it is a nice vocal performance but it reminds me of how I sound like when I talk spanish. the other kids sound normal, with Percy being given a more kid sounding voice over Phil vischer's attempt at a kid voice.
then there's the peas, who basically sound the same-ish, interesting to know what french accents sound like in spanish. to the pirates who don't do anything, this is where I flip out because when I heard them, I knew Pa sounded so familiar but I didn't know why. then when I looked up the cast, I found it out. SCROOGE MCDUCK. THAT IS SCROOGE MCDUCK'S LATAM DUB ACTOR. with Larry, he has a bit more of a nasally voice, which is(like Bob's) a bit odd at first but you get used to the change. Mr Lunt kinda sounds normal, though he sounds more like the voice that would be given to Larry if they wanted to like 100% parallel the english voices.
then there's the star of the show, Archibald aka Jonah aka Twippo. He's kinda one of the few voices that line up to the english ones, granted I don't know how well British accents translate into Spanish but he sounds stuck up with a bit of a regal huff so yeah, I'd say it's pretty bang up. Khalil also is one of the few you could say try to match with the original english because it does sound kinda close in tone.
ok I talked about the voices, but now the songs. the songs are translated well and they are sung well by the cast though in jonah was a prophet, the pirates voices are pretty high during their verses, so there's that. some lines got changed around, as they do; like for some reason, the line "it got us here, didn't it?" got switched to "don't worry about it, we'll be ok" and steak and shrimp being changed to "carne y pulpo" which is meat and calamari.
basically, it's jarringly different at first but it's not bad, you get used to it and it's actually really good. I like jonah's latam dub.
