Curly's attempt to prioritize the crew's happiness over safety is very in line with the internal struggles he is going through with wondering if he is happy in his life and path or should he forfeit that security.
It's upsetting cause while as understandable as that projection is, the want to be happy in something you don't feel secure in, he can't see past it and allows it to clog his judgement. This is no longer a matter of happiness but safety, but he in the end was the safest member of the crew in practically every aspect. It's not something he's going to understand the weight of from his position.
His current state is also a reflection and inversion of his mindset at the beginning of the game as well as a metaphor for the exact type of endangerment Anya felt. Where as with Jimmy, he gets to feel that "safety" Curly felt with the position but the lack of happiness he perceived he had.
#Curly reacts more to people distress than the actual cause of the issue if you havent noticed#hes like a bandaid on a leaky pipe like yeah its not dripping but its still damaged and he knows that but he is just so preoccupied#mouthwashing#curly mouthwashing#captain curly#cause he never really directly asks about it and i think its an important part of the problem is that Curly fixes surface level issues#he keeps the big picture looking nice and cant conceptualize the one bad part just because he can make it part of the illusion in his mind#like he did notice Jimmy I feel but he did not feel he made things worse because he was used to Jimmy at his percieved worst#like he prioritizes happiness but not at the total expense of safety but he can not see how unsafe things really are like hes less avoidant#more oblivious like the game makes a point to cover up characters worse moments and obscure them

Also man. It's been how many years now and Viera still can't wear hats?
When Frost and I were trying on the newest gear I couldn't wear 90% of the hats from raid or tome. This is the second expack where I couldn't wear MOST of the artifact gear hats.
It's been three expansions now man come the fuck on. Just have the ears stab through at this point it's getting old. I love Viera but it's getting so hard to deal with dumb stuff like this.
#i dont wear many hats anyways but whenever i WANT to i cant wear the ones i want#dont tell me to get the mod for viera hats or whatever please i dont want to have to make or download metadata edits just to toggle a hat o#that adds up so quickly and its a bandaid fix for what should be a non-issue#ive fantasiad back into Kieran just to enjoy some glam before msq comes back cause goddamn#ffxiv

um not really relevant to anything but fuck insurance companies. specifically medical ones
#ed cetera#i don't like to rant about my personal life here because like. iiiiii just dont like it. but damn i need to yell into the void#for YEARS now. like literally since i was in elementary school. ive been dealing with a medical issue. but its gotten more frequent lately#the tldr is that i get pain in my abdomen and i have to sit down for longer than ive been up. because just sitting down a bit doesnt help#ive been ass at documenting my symptoms bc i thought id never get it diagnosed so while i think there are other symptoms i cant say for sure#but like. ive been going to the doctor to figure this out and she's pretty sure its a type of dysautonomia. although she has some other-#-theories#but since medical insurance companies hate ANYONE who might have something wrong with them.#i have to go through a fucking endoscopy and god knows how many other tests for things I don't have before i can get a tilt table test.#like stomach issues run in my family so ive been DREADING endoscopies and colonoscopies and so on and so forth.#mainly because you have to be put under anesthesia for them and get an iv. which are two things i hate#(and also ive refused to be put on anesthesia for a major surgery i had because i was that fucking terrified)#but like. YEAH SURE LET'S MAKE YOU GO THROUGH SOME REALLY INCONVENIENT AND TERRIBLE SHIT FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG#BEFORE YOU CAN FINALLY KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!!!!#and. this might sound stupid. because unfortunately i have something up with my brain that causes me to have specific thought processes#(another thing i probably won't figure out what it's being caused by for some years(#but like. i know a cane will help me. ill be able to use it to walk for slightly longer so i can sit down safely somewhere.#but I don't want to get one until i officially KNOW what i have. because what if its something that can be easily fixed.#like a new medication or change in habit or something#then i wont NEED it. and that makes me feel preemptive guilt#so. god knows how long ill be dealing with my symptoms before i can actually get myself a tool that will help#and god knows how long ill be waiting to get this figured out!!#anyways um. stepping down from my soapbox.#i am doing alright. just had to fill out some paperwork and got pissed about it

#updated it and now anything that required connecting to an outaide server(browsers; discord; steam) will not open#and i think it was because firefox was having an issue; i restarted to get rid of ot; and my pc auto updated#so now im uninstaling it in hope itll fix the problem#cause registry fixer did not. unfortunate#txt#and its ONLY on my sode of the computer. admin side is completely unaffected

#ramarl#phantasy star online#long tag warning lol i rambled#so i was introduced to phantasy star online#i think its safe to say i really enjoy the game#thank you mr crow for showing me this game :D i have new creatures to scribble now#there shall be more of these doodles#i promise you that#meant to post this wayyyyy earlier today but uh#my car broke down :') ....again :')#last week it wouldn't turn on and the headlights weren't working so we were like ''ok this is a battery issue and i need a new one''#because jumping the car didnt fix it#so we took my old battery to a shop and they tested its charge before showing us which new one we should get#but the battery had charge???????? so we went back home to troubleshoot#and then found the hooks(?idk what they're called) that connected the battery to the car had something corroded on them#so we grabbed a can of coke and scrubbed away#hooked the battery back up and bam car was working#so the issue was those hooks#until two days ago when my car didnt work again#looked at the battery again and the hooks came loose; tightened them up and bam car working again#and now at this point I'm scared to go anywhere cause what if i get stranded on my own??#so this morning i said ''alright I'm gonna drive myself to church just to be sure that my car works''#AND WOULD YOU GUESS WHAT HAPPENED#at this point i just wish the damn battery was dead and that i could replace it and move on from this#i know they're a bit pricey but jesus this is exhausting#but i can't just buy a new battery if im not sure that's the actual problem because then I'd have a battery and nothing to do with it#i hate having a car sometimes i just want a bus system#or a jeep#but preferably a bus system#sorry rambles thats a long way of saying i didnt post this earlier because ive been working on my car lol

Dude i'm so fucking pissed about my computer crashing all the time when i try to draw
Nad i can't just save the drawing multiple times through the process because i use paint and if i save it doesnt save in layers, instead it fuses everything so it it does crash id have to start over anyways because i can't just continue from where i left it
Anyways, it's such a weird and annoying thing, the only tab i had open was paint, i didn't even had any music or video in the background
Then it just crashes? The screen goes dark and there's a short beep noise every now and then when i try to click or press a letter or smt
The only thing i can to to get it on again is turn it off with the button and then back on
But oh my goddddd every time i'm about to finish something it does this shit and it pisses me tf off
And i don't know how to fix it either
It's driving me insane, i was so happy thinking abt how little i had left to finish and go to bed when all of a sudden that shit dies on me and i lose everything i had spent the past hours on
Like oh my fucking god it's not like i'm using any super complex program or have way too many layers or smt, at best i had 5, and it's fucking MS PAINT like i doubt the average computer would just die like that over something so light cmon
Now i stayed up till so late for FUCKING nothing and i'll go to sleep absolutely pissed
