m.. marble racing? i'm curious about this now

let me introduce you to the glorious world of marbula one.

it is exactly what it sounds like - a series of closed circuit marble races inspired by f1. the fifth season has just started, but i would highly recommend checking out older seasons on the jelle's marble runs youtube channel. considering the athletes in question are all inanimate objects, the rivalries and dramas and storylines are very intricate.

the same channel also runs marble rally, a sand-based event for more of a cyclo-cross feel, and marble league, formerly marblympics¹, a multi-sport competition.

¹ the name change occurred - and i'm not kidding - because the international olympic committee basically threatened legal action for using a name too similar to "olympics" (x)
