What was the first "LGBTQ+" movie you ever watched? Because my friend just told me hers was I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007) which was the worst/funniest possible answer

#my first one was snapshots! it's a lesbian period drama that tells the story of two women through photographies #it's beautiful; they're both married to two men that are really good friends so they keep meeting up #they become neighbors then friends and then best friends #they understand each other like no one else does #and due to their husbands always hanging out together (🤨🏳️‍🌈⁉️) they're left alone just the two quite often #and fall deeply in love with each other #well it doesn't really have a happy ending ig #but the love story isn't the point #the movie also shows the main character in her old age #she has a daughter and a granddaughter who are spending the weekend with her #and they're dealing with different problems #the granddaughter finds the mc's old camera and brings out the photos #and the mc finally gets to tell the story she's hidden her entire life #it's heartbreaking but it's so beautiful #i accidentally found that movie's trailer and then couldn't find it in my native language anywhere #so i watched it in english without subtitles in my first dorm at uni #and i cried A LOT #that movie changed who i am. everyone should watch it. i'm leaving the trailer here #aryspeaks #lgbtqia+#snapshots #personal #Youtube
