funniest thing about streaming umineko for friends recently is that i have to bury so many of my incredibly strong feelings about certain characters lest they implicitly spoil things. being like "haha nanjo is so funny he's always just excusing himself from intense situations" "god genji is so cool" whole time i want to throttle them both for reasons my friends will not find out about for like six more months

#at least kinzo is fucking awful right away so you don't really have to pretend otherwise #but nanjo and genji are both horrific in such like. non obvious ways early on #genji in particular really seems like a type of character you end up liking a lot #only for it to be revealed that he knew about like. every single awful thing that has happened in this house #and consciously made decisions that made everything worse for sayo. for kinzo's sake #BUT HE JUST COMES OFF SO REGULAR FOR SO LONG.
