for verre 😭: How easily do they cry? Do they ever cry in front of other people? When was the last time they cried?
In day-to-day life it's hard to make Verre cry. She's resilient in social situations, takes things as they come, and is excellent at keeping a cool head in emergencies - things have to be going extremely sideways for her to break down crying. She's an effective emotional rock for the people around her and a reliable shoulder to cry on for her loved ones.
That said, Verre is an incredibly sentimental person. Especially about flowers. Any gift of flowers - dried, pressed, fresh, or otherwise - will lead to her crying sooner or later, though she prefers to retreat to the privacy of her workshop before the tears start if she can. She's not always successful.
as far as the last time she's cried... it's hard to say. mostly because my timeline for her is still heavily under development... odds are it's a time where she gets overwhelmed with her memories or she's relieved after worrying about her family?
#answered asks#thank you for the ask!#oc: verre hyskaris#man i forgot how fun verre is to think about#she's a great character to contrast with the others#and comparing her recurring elements to my other characters is way more funky than i expect it to be#mechanical minded bun surrounds herself with machinery to subconsciously avoid thinking about the forest she left behind#only to be sucker punched with emotion/memories whenever she's presented with flowers#she wears them as penance. she wears them as healing. she wears them as memory.#and she's just. ;-; she's gonna be okay one day. just not today.#(short hair verre is her being okay/post character development/her recovered from the worst of her grief)#(i just haven't quite worked out the timeline of when she does it relative to nailah's journey...)#(its sometime post shb though. i think im gonna keep the whole 'verre gets yeeted to the first' idea after all)
