I very nearly pissed myself laughing at Beauty and the Beast tonight cause the un-Beast-ing transformation had the guy spin around on the floor and continue into the air like fucking Saruman chucking Gandalf up the Tower of Orthanc

#haretalks #genuinely in awe of the stage and costume tech on display in that show like jeez #the quick-changes alone were a sight to behold #and beast going from 'big scary monster' to 'excited well-meaning dudebro' was very good #lumiere had FAR too much fun with the sex jokes [affectionate]#cogsworth was an absolute ball. perfect manic energy all round #belle was amazing and the grimace she wore every time gaston opened his mouth was priceless #you could see her physically counting the seconds until he shut up and THAT'S what i wanna see out of theatre XD #maurice was also a delight and radiated like the sun #the whole production was chock full of lil character glimpses and side moments and passion and just was very good tbh #may have helped my experience to be seated directly behind the fucking conducter the entire time that was fascinating and i was enthralled #OH YEA CHIP THE LIL TEACUP WAS SO FUCKING CUTE AND MRS POTS WAS ALSO VERY GOOD #ok i'll stop gushing now lol
