hope this doesn’t come off as weird or anything but I really love reading your hakuouki thoughts (esp about yamachi) and I was wondering what u thought about Sanan and Sanan/Chizuru. Have a nice day!

Definitely not weird! I'm I big lover of chatting in the tags so I'm happy people like them!

I think I am one of the few yamachi shippers who just doesn't care for Sanan. His route in the game has a lot of lore that I enjoy, but I overall consider it my least favorite. It has a lot of tropes I don't like, and although Sanan is a character I enjoy as an antagonist, I don't really care for him as a romantic interest.

#asks #I know people love him and so I won't really go into it #because i know the tropes in his route really work for some people!#but i find it generally uncomfortable and mostly not well written #the writers didn't really commit to Sanan either being and antagonist or a double agent #and since i played his route when i was 30+ too much of the early bits felt groomy to me in a way that the other age gap routes didn't #i know i'm in the minority on this but both him and okita as LIs leaves me cold so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#and as a character Sanan is probably the one most inconsistently written across routes so I just don't have an attachment to him
