okay thinking about her

i've seen discussions about purebloods/halfbloods/muggleborns and what constitutes as one, altho reading through the books it's all so clear to me: it's all just BS

this'll be half serious and half delulu as usual but there's always curiosity on how voldemort managed to have the pureblood's support, and that maybe the DEs just don't know his background. but i tend to disagree. something as tightknit as pureblood circles makes it impossible for voldemort to not be known, not when he's been using the voldemort name since hogwarts years. it would've spread to the families

but pureblood circles tend to "accept" you if you're a halfblood and act like them. this is most seen with how snape acts and speaks in comparison to his childhood years, where the wannabe DEs in slytherin accept snape so long as he does the same thing as them, like calling other students mudbloods. and then they just kinda avoid mentioning your blood, though in varying degrees depending on the family

we also know that the malfoys try to marry halfbloods here and there in order to not be like the blacks, who truly try to uphold the blood purity. i will infer that most pureblood families do the same thing as the malfoys, as the blacks are already on the extreme side of the example

tom, by 5th year, has proven himself to be a halfblood as well as carry himself in the same manner as the purebloods, so he does get accepted(altho i believe that families like malfoy and black were still wary of his origin so voldemort was only able to recruit their children, who are much more impressionable to him)

that's the crux of being a pureblood: it doesn't matter, the established families are the ones who makes up the rules. that's why potters aren't even part of the sacred 28, it's whatever these families consider as purebloods that are purebloods

Actually this is up to the King. The government can suggest a preference but ultimately the king/monarch decides these assignments on behalf of the government. The government requests a royal rep but the monarch decides who. We know royals can and do turn down opportunities or requests, too.

Edward is fine. But this is the sort of opportunity William should be more keen to have as he builds up his own Rolodex and credits as a global ambassador.

Either way, I don’t think the Carter family is all that concerned with which Royal is attending. These sorts of events are onerous for the families to deal with enough.

I would just say this is different because, and not to be too American, but the US is the the UK’s most important ally, the superpower, AND they are desperately trying to butter up to the new admin. Which is also why I do think politics plays a role. If this was a GOP former president it would probably be William because they are the party in power in the US right now.

It has nothing to do with the representative "remembering" the person. These funerals aren't about being heartfelt, it's about the symbolic relationship between countries. ANYWAYS. ok honestly i need to iron details A LOT of them but basically, it stemmed from this drawing i did for day one of ake shoe week, i got a beauty and the beast idea so i drew that on the fly. BUT LATER i kept rotating it in my head the concept and like. yea

so. basic idea is that goro was a normal guy but his dad is a little bastard and cursed him with the mask, transforming him into a beast, presumably so he wouldnt interfere with anything since hes like a . king or an important general or smth so it would be a scandal etc etc. then he sent him to a funny forest and goro is cursed to never be able to take the mask off and also never get out of the forest as long as hes wearing it. anyone else can enter and get out just fine its just goro whos kinda trapped there like a cute lion circling a cage so he goes a bit. bit delulu and also hes of course so mad at everyone
