So I am reading Howl's moving Castle right now and I gotta say... the movie isn't really based on it, more loosely inspired by it.
The movie doesn't even mention that Howl's real name is "Howell Jenkins"... oh, and he's Welsh...
#howls moving castle#No jenkins isn't some alias#it's his actual legal name#and Wizard Suliman's real name Benjamin Sullivan#the and stuff part of manga and stuff#and Markl is actually called micheal and he's 15 years old instead of like... 8?#and he's dating one of Sophie's sisters?#and Sophie is never concerned with 'not being pretty' she's more concerned about being a failure because she's the oldest of her sisters#and she thinks oldest siblings are bound to be failures
