XPRESSO
I want to thank, first of all, @inkblottzz for drawing an fanart of this ship! Thanks to them, I have a favorite ship now! I will make a part two of this, I promise!
Okay, okay, what is xpresso? Simple: it's the ship name for Cross and Ccino— Okay, okay! You can stop booing and throwing tomatoes at me! I KNOW THEY'RE A RARE SHIP, I KNOW! BUT READ MY HEADCANONS FIRST BEFORE YOU START THROWING STONES TOO! (I mean, it's like a headcanon/oneshot/my version of how they met??? Anyway, enjoy!)
Cross met Ccino after Killer insisted a lot and dragged him to FluffyTale's Cat Cafe — with a line about it being a neutral universe that wasn't hostile to outsiders and other details that Cross didn't think were necessary to pay attention to;
What he didn't expect was to keep going back there again and again under the excuse of liking the cats — all just to distract Killer and get him to go to the café with him so Cross could admire the barista from afar.
Of course, Killer wasn't an idiot (he just took advantage of the excuse to play with the kittens), and he soon figured out Cross's scheme — especially since the skeleton never paid attention to the cats, always with his white pupils focused on following Ccino.
“So? Aren’t you going to talk to him?” Killer asked one time.
“ No.” Cross replied so quickly that Killer couldn’t hold back the laugh that came out through his nasal cavity.
For many days, it went on like this: with Cross following Ccino from afar with his gaze, like a dog wanting attention but not knowing how to ask (Killer could swear that Cross's little tail wagged much harder every time Ccino waved in their direction with a friendly greeting);
It got to the point where it was painful to see the two interact only with waves — Cross wouldn’t even place his own order for fear of stuttering in front of Ccino!
No one in the café could stand this tension anymore (especially Killer, who seemed to be the third wheel every time he went to the café!). Tired of it and wanting Cross to finally make some progress, Killer decided to give an ultimatum — of course, without informing Cross first;
“I’m going outside for a bit, stay here and order a hot chocolate for me, okay?”
“Wait, wait! You don’t even like hot chocolate!” But Killer had already left, waving too slowly to be considered friendly.
Surrounded by cats and nervously bouncing his leg under the table, Cross used all his self-control not to run away when Ccino started approaching the table — with a small notepad and a pen in his hand.
Cross actually did pretty well (at least he managed to order a hot chocolate without stuttering too much), despite his skull dripping with sweat and his hands clenched into a trembling fist. He was fine, seriously, everything was going smoothly—
“Alright, I’ll be back with your order, pup!” If Cross wasn't purple before, then his entire skull must have been vibrating in violet now.
Ccino wasn’t much different; the only difference was that his blush was orange. And like Cross, he stuttered as he apologized, saying he didn’t remember Cross's name and that he looked like such an anxious puppy every time they locked eyes.
“It’s Cross!” He might not have needed to almost shout his name, but it was enough for Ccino to smile again, repeating Cross's name as if he were savoring something sweet.
“I’ll keep that in mind, thank you.” And he went back to the counter.
Cross could have died of embarrassment at that moment, but he couldn’t help but notice his own tail wagging happily at this small interaction (Ccino knew his name! And he smiled at him!).
They seemed to have a long journey ahead, but apparently, they had already started off well.
#I'll write something better later#but right now I needed to share my thoughts on them#Cross would definitely retire so he could be with Ccino#and also so he wouldn't have to worry about him every time he came to the cafe injured#Cross' nickname later became “pup”#and Killer couldn't be happier to poke fun at him for it#Xpresso#Cross Sans#Ccino Sans#Cross x Ccino#qinqin headcanons 💖#sans ship#sansshipping#sans ships

Yes another ask right away xD couldn't wait...
Sooo this queation is: how is killers and cross relationship? Are they chill, competetiv, tolerating each other, friendly, arguing, idk... UwU what do they think about each other???
I also want to know more about their day. Like... what is their shedule? Anything to do beside being a guardsmen? What do they like to do outside their job? hobbies?? Their personalitys?
Oh this is fun! So, as I said in the last ask, Cross and Killer's relationship starts off rocky but it does get better! At first, Cross was very hostile towards Killer actually! Cross saw Killer as nothing more than a threat, and treated him as such. Killer of course thought it was hilarious and used every chance he could to poke fun at his fellow Guard. Sometimes Killer got irritated with the goody-two-shoes Guard who always seemed to make him look bad.
Killer tried to play it off as not actually caring about how he was perceived, but as he became more serious about his job, he started hating how inadequate he felt beside Cross. Even Nightmare had stated in the past that Cross was practically the epitome of what a Royal Guard was meant to be.
Yeah... Killer and Cross didn't get along at first XD
As time goes on they end up becoming more tolerant of each other though! That's around the time Cross realizes Killer isn't the worst person in the world, surprisingly. They don't really become close friends, but they do get friendlier.
Their schedule's/Duties as a Royal Guard
Cross and Killer's jobs are fairly simple on a daily basis. They're meant to accompany Dream and Nightmare wherever they may go, and are never far from their Kings unless they've been ordered otherwise. If either Dream or Nightmare are busy with paperwork or simple duties, the Guards might stay by their side, assist if asked, or even simply go out and bring them snacks and drinks. The main part of their duties are the most lax part typically XD
Their schedules line up with their King's schedules of course. When their King wakes up, the Guards will have already been awake for at least two hours to eat, get ready, and be at their side the moment they leave their rooms. (Killer was a bit lax on this part in the beginning)
The Guards will often have their meals before the Kings, so that they can stand by their sides while the King's eat. This is so the Kings can eat without worrying about the Guards not being prepared. Essentially, whenever they're by their King's sides, the Guards need to be at attention almost the whole time. (Though they typically are more relaxed when it's just the two together).
The Guards will also take time after the King's have gone to sleep to sweep the castle grounds. They take their time to patrol before going to bed. (Cross won't admit it in the beginning, but he is relieved he has Killer to do one half of the Castle now.)
Killer and Cross do have days, however, when they aren't at the Kings' sides. These are their training days and their days off. Killer and Cross typically train together, but will also spend time training with the regular Guardsmen. (Though at First, Killer had to go through special training to be a Royal Guard. He did have to be at a certain skill level for it, and while he was certainly strong, his skills needed refining.)
The Guards do have days off, but most of the time they don't actually take them! Killer used to take any and all opportunities to avoid his job until later on, but Cross was never like that. Dream often has to insist on Cross taking his personal days. Killer needs less convincing. If Nightmare says he can take a day off, Killer takes a day off, but he never requests it anymore.
Their Day Off
Killer will go to taverns on his day off typically. He likes to people watch, and drunkards are the funniest people to watch in his opinion. Though, if he's more in a drinking mood, Killer will actually go to the brothel! The brothel Killer visits is actually co-owned by one of his friends and their brother. Killer claims they have the best drinks, and he get's a discount. He's less interested in the entertainment, and takes the time to actually talk with his friend.
If it's not people watching or drinking, Killer tries to interact with the few friends he has. He tries to keep the ties he has to people strong. Since becoming a Royal Guard, Killer has actually made two new friends, and sometimes he'll bug them on his days off.
Cross also spends time with his friends on his day off, but his friends are mostly all Guardsmen as well, so it's not often they have the same days off. If that's the case, he goes to the library! Cross has actually made friends with the librarian, and the two have similar taste in books! (*Cough* Romance *Cough*)
On the days his friends in the guard and he are both free, he might spar with them. Sometimes they visit a tavern, go horse riding, or have mini competitions with each other! Cross tries to make new friends in the Guardsmen whenever he can. He started off in the Guardsmen, and he wants to keep those connections strong, even if the friends he knew are gone now.
Hobbies?
Killer does have a hobby! He actually picked it up after becoming a Royal Guard. Killer learned how to brew and make his own tea and coffee blends! Nightmare would complain in the mornings about the coffee, and afternoons about the tea. Killer got so curious about what the heck could possibly make a tea or coffee so different that he went to the library on one of his days off to read about it.
The book he read actually got him interested in it, and he started practicing. Nightmare now no longer lets anyone else brew his tea or coffee.
Cross doesn't really have any hobbies, but he does like horse riding! He has a specific horse in the stable who he's attached to. He's learned how to tend to horses, and whenever he visits the stables he'll also help around with the chores. (Cross used to wonder if he would have preferred to be a stablemaster over a Guardsmen, but since becoming a Royal Guard he's decided he's much happier where he's at.)
Personalities?
Killer is sarcastic first and foremost. He'll tease and poke fun at anyone and everyone. That being said, he does know where boundaries lie, and he'll typically respect the boundaries of those he cares for. (Doesn't care so much about other people's boundaries though).
He's also surprisingly observant, and though he likes to play dumb, Killer is extremely intelligent. He knows how to read people, and having one conversation with him would give him all the information he'd need out of you. He knows how to talk to people and how to get what he wants out of them. (He used to be quite the flirt)
Killer also is actually rather nice to certain people. He'll make efforts to be kind to people he think's deserve it, but in his own way of course. The vast majority of people, of course, never see this side of Killer.
Cross is actually a rather anxious bean. Because of this he always has to be on top of everything. He's jumpier than he'd like to admit, and often only relaxes around Dream in private. Cross is very cautious around others, and takes a long time to open up. He's polite and noble, which is one of the reason's Dream likes him.
Cross, of course, has a sweet tooth. His favorite treats are macarons! Cross rarely actually get's to have them though. Cross is also actually pretty impatient when it comes to most things. It's why he had such a short fuse with Killer. Cross has a hard time tolerating people he thinks are bad.
