hi before i go to sleep i just wanna say - i got to give all of my thoughtful and personalized presents (with an in-character note to each recipient) to my DND party, and it seemed like they were really touched by them in about the way i intended, averting much of my "what if im being weird and overinvested in this" anxieties and also making me weirder and more invested in this. we have one, MAYBE 2 more sessions left in this campaign and I cannot express how much I'm gonna miss it

god idk how I acquired these powers, but I woke up today feeling rested, decided it felt like a Project Day, and then I just. did projects. I finally started my spoon carving kit (only got through carving the bowl before deciding my hand would be too mad at me if I did more), then finally re-died my faded black jeans back to black again, then finally took a stab at making a hand-me-down from my mom into a shirt I might ever want to wear. Now I'm gonna have a snack and lay out my presents for my DND party for them to find when they show up, and hopefully be all asleep before 3:30 AM because I am unstoppable today

#like even as we will be switching to another campiagn within this exact same group #this campiagn started on a whim during a road trip #(we made characters in the hour before hitting the road and the DM just riffed off an old campiagn setting he had homebrewed for antoher gr #and so much of it is just based off our natural instincts #as opposed to our other campaigns where we more deliberately try to explore something specific #so this campaign and this character just feel so natural and so much like Home #i do hope our paladin doesn't decide she wants to end the world #bc if she doesn't then we have a decent chance of saving it and leaving room for epilogue/sequel one-shots #but her character arc could REALLY go either way #and Joss (the player) is inscrutable I can't tell if he'd be willing to take that ending #if he does he would at least talk with the GM about how to take that path #bc the paladin could probably hand our asses to us if she wanted to #like she's not any more broken/OP than the rest of the PCs and NPCs at this stage in the game #but her character build is well suited to detroying us all if shes smart about it #and the player is smart #but hes also smart enough to know that its only fun to pull that ending if the party has a chance against her
