๐ŸŽฆ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ”ก? :3
๐ŸŽฆ (Act One or Act Two?): Hmm this is hard. Since I've never seen it live, I haven't experienced it as a true two-act musical. For most musicals I prefer Act Two, since Act One usually just sets up all the story stuff and can drag, but seeing as Cats has little by way of plot that sentiment doesn't quite apply. I'd probably say Act One though
๐ŸŽ€ (London-style costumes or Broadway-style costumes?): London, without a doubt. I really don't like the original Broadway and pre-US tour 6 costumes or makeup. I can't quite explain why, but to me they're just...not good. (Also I'll be honest: I don't care for the very first original designs for both productions, nor do I like how they've muted the colours for most replica productions, but that's neither here nor there) (Also also Black-and-white Alonzo will forever be my ideal design, golden Alonzo is nothing to me)
๐Ÿ”ก (London names or Broadway names?): Jemima can keep her London name, Pouncival and Tumblebrutus have to use their US names. The name Sillabub just rubs me the wrong way (not sure why; also, it's a British dessert), and I'm not really a fan of Carbucketty and Bill Bailey (as an aside, for some reason it bothers me that US tour chorus Tugger is called Bill Bailey. I will not elaborate). The Admetus/Plato thing is kinda eh to me, and since both names are mentioned in The Naming of Cats maybe those are two of his names that we get to be privy to
