me, literally all week: I want to diversify my media consumption away from america-centrism more so I will finally start Game of Rôles (french TTRPG show I've been meaning to get around to for ages) 😤

also me all week: 💀 what if I do not remember french 💀 what if, because I was never all that good at it in the 10 years of school I had it, and because I never actually bothered watching much contemporary french content, I will not understand a single thing from actual french ppl talking 💀 ttrpgs have weird fantasy words that I barely know the german & english versions of, I was only ever in the german medieval scene, I never bothered with the french one, what if I won't know what they're saying 💀 if I don't understand the words I won't be able to picture the scenarios

me, now: *actually finally starts the first episode* *puts on auto-subtitles* I'll be fine if I can read along!

im thinking about best friend harry who's secretly I love with you and he watches you date other people who never end up treating you right and he comforts you every time you get hurt all while loving you so hard 😔 then one day he says "I've had enough of this... come on, get dressed, I'm taking you out on a date- a real date so you'll know exactly how you deserve to be treated" and you're shocked for a minute but he's pulling you to your feet and flinging open you closet door, picking out his favorite sundress of yours and tossing it to you 😔 he says "I have to go get something, but I'll be back in 15, then I'll be waiting downstairs whenever you're ready" and your head is spinning but you get dressed and put on a little makeup and some perfume you know he is particularly fond of 😌 then you go downstairs and he's standing there holding a bouquet 😭 he hands it to you blushing a bit and says "i would have waited at the door for you, but I was already inside, so this is the next best thing" and you're smiling so big when you go to hug him 😔 he grins saying "easy love, you'll squish the flowers" so you pull away, thanking him and saying they're perfect 😔 when you're ready to head out he holds the door for you and then runs to the car to get that door as well 😔 he brings you to your favorite restaurant that you two always go to together and he pulls out your chair 😔you have the best time, talking and laughing and it feels so easy and right to be with him 😔 then maybe you go for a walk afterwards, and he throws his arm over your shoulders to keep you close 😔 when you get home you're both lingering at the doorway because suddenly the air feels so tense, then finally you make a move and step closer to him 😌 you rest your hand on his chest and say "do you wanna come in? i could maybe show you how a real date should end" and he blushes so hard saying "we don't have to do anything like that, not if you don't want to" and you lean even closer and whisper "I want to... do you want to?" and he can't control himself before he's nodding and taking the key out of your hand to unlock the door 😌 he guides you inside, and before you can even act he flips you around and pins you against the wall 😌 he kisses your shoulder gently, then your neck, and your jaw, and your cheek before he finally lands on your lips 😌 after a minute you push him away just enough to breathe and you say "let's go to the bedroom" and he has never moved faster 😌 you start to unbuckle his belt but he grabs your hands, pushing you to sit on the bed and saying "thought you wanted to see what happens after I go on a date? this is what happens" and he drops to his knees and flips your dress up so he can pull your legs over his shoulders 😌
