#I'm not sure what to call this an update? an upgrade? it's not a redesign#supposed to be something shyla changes into after finally confronting will and finding out how he actually feels#and she gets that no matter how perfect she was no matter how good she tried to be and ignore all the signs#he still cheated on her he still did not give a damn about their marriage and loved the thrill of what he was doing#shyla tried so hard to ignore any sign of will's wrongdoing and just wanted to be loving and perfect#wanted to be his perfect wife his perfect partner she loved him so much she adored him#thus the puppet as a literal motif of her mindset and her devotion to her husband#and when that breaks we go to the messy jaded black bride as a motif#the wronged bride what will turned her into and lied to her for her to become#instead of what she closed herself in a box to become what will tricked her into being etc. etc.#anyway! not a redesign but I'm not sure what to call it a change later#a messy 'wedding dress' more just a corset and fabric but it's supposed to be like wedding dress and wedding lingerie mashup#and constant ink stains in a nod to running mascara and tears then broken hearts instead of hearts etc.#and I'm going off again just have my gorl I finally managed a fun art I actually liked drawing this#hazbin hotel#fan character#shyla
