military propaganda is out, I watch DGzRS SAR propaganda instead
#for context DGzRS is the german maritime search and rescue service#they're funded mostly by donations#most of the rescue personnel are volunteers#I think it's cool to see these ships plow through heavy seas on their way to save a life#and I think it's cool that they can fund these millions of euros for ships and rescue missions on almost exclusively voluntary donations#there is hope for humanity#I'm rambling I think I just saw one of these films of them rushing through a storm on a rescue mission when I was young#and that's my vision of badass now#think I saw that on a decommissioned SAR cruiser that I went to see in a museum which was awesome#also i might have owned some cheap DGzRS computer game that I thought was neat#but yea I do think these videos hit the same notes that military propaganda does for some people#just it's not about ending lives but saving them instead which is cool :)
