Chapter 6
AN: Haven’t watched the new season yet. But unfortunately, I fell victim to spoilers and bitch
I’m not ready. Also, I’m not even going to talk about how late this shit is, I’m truly sorry. But hey, quarantine calls for major writing and catching up! Hope you enjoy!! The end, I know the saying is “Old habits die hard” But it kind of makes more sense what i have, whatever blah blah blah...ignore me! Enjoy and all feedback is welcome!!
DISCLAIMER: I DON’T OWN ANYTHING OF ON MY BLOCK. I ONLY OWN MY CHARACTERS, DAISY, JACKIE, MADELINE, AND ANDREW.
Rollerworld. Do I think it’s real? Ehh kinda. So, I think that the robbery was real, and that Lil Ricky and some other Santos hid the money. But it’s still a little far-fetched. I mean if you think about it someone would've found the money by now. Right?
“So now Jamal has the boys roped into believing that the money is real. It’s stupid right?” Oh, that’s right, I was supposed to be listening to Monse.
“Yeah...yeah that’s crazy but Monse, what if he’s right?” Turning in my seat I connect with identical chocolate eyes. It’s strange, it’s like I'm looking in a mirror. “What if they robbed the bank, okay, then they hid the money so that only the chosen one can find it.”
“Not you too,” She sighed and threw her head back. “Jamal said the same thing. Someone called him the ‘chosen one’ and that he’d be the one to find the money.”  Strange.
“Anyways, what are you guys doing for Halloween? I hope y’all aren’t going out trick or treating-”
“I’m not ready to date Cesar!” Monse yells.
“Okay...”
“Did you not hear me?”
“Oh no, I heard you loud and clear.” Smacking my lips as I take a sip from my glass. “You said you weren’t ready to date Cesar.”
“Does that not surprise you?”
“No
”
“Well, why not?”
“Monse, you’re 14, nobody expects you to be in love. But there’s definitely something between you two.” Shrugging I get up to take our empty dishes to the kitchen.
“Definitely not in love
but how could I ever date a Santos? Cesar has changed, he’s not safe anymore.”
~~
“Let me be very clear Daisy, you will never be involved with a Santos. All they do is kill and walk around like they own the world, it’s too dangerous for you.”
“Just like the Prophets then?”
“Don’t, you know it’s not like that Daisy. The-”
“They’re all the same, the Prophets, the Santos, Bloods, Crips. They all walk around like someone owes them something. I’m not afraid of anything dad, I can handle myself.”
“Not when you’re carrying around one of those things. For goodness sakes Daisy, the guy that got you pregnant was just locked up and you’re just walking around here like nothing happened
”
“No,”
“I don’t want this life for you Daisy. You’re not going to make it. That baby is going to be raised om a broken home with no father. Things like this don’t end well. You and Oscar won’t make it Daisy.”
“JUST STOP!” A white porcelain plate fell to the ground in a million pieces.
“Daisy you need to calm down.” A very blurry Monte walks towards me slowly with his hands out in front of him, like he was trying to assist a wild animal.
“No, everyone goes on about my choices. What about yours and mamas. Both of you have made mistakes, but in the end both of you are doing just fine.” Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed like a broken stream. I fell to ground clutching my chest and before I knew it, I was wailing like a banshee. Strong arms wrapped around me, as I was pulled into a warm chest.
“It’s going to be okay baby, I promise.” Kisses were littered across my forehead.
~~
“Let me tell you something Monse. You can feel however you want to feel about anyone. Just know that whatever happens, it’s all on you. You’re old enough to know from right and wrong.” Groaning, my knees pop as I get from my kneeling position in front of Monse. “Date him if you want to, there’s nothing wrong with it. Just remember what the consequences are.”
“But you dated Oscar, were you never afraid he would put you in danger?”
“He never, not once, put my life in danger. I was his world.”
“Then what happened, why do you hate him now?” A loud click echoes through the now quiet and dimly lit living room, as I lock the dead bolt on the front door.
“Goodnight Monse!”
~~
HAllOWeEn
My favorite time of the year, trick or treating, decorated pumpkins, little kids in cute costumes, the eeriness of going out at nighttime, hauntings, and the spookiness of not knowing what lurks in the-
“BOO!” Dark. Yelping, I jump so hard that I manage to fling orange icing at the cause of my heart attack.
“Andrew, I really hate you!” my feet move before I could even think, I’m snatching paper towels and stomping over towards him to clean up the mess.
“Hey, well this is a big surprise. I didn’t expect to get hit with icing. Also isn’t today your day off?” He turns around once I finish wiping down his shirt, to hang up his black denim levi jacket.
“It is, well was, I decided to come in and give an extra hand.” Shrugging I move back to the bowl filled with icing and resume lathering the cake.
“Or are you avoiding a certain someone?” Here we go.
“Nope, I’m trying to do my job Andrew, and you’re slowing me down. So, shut up and stop it.” Not gonna lie, I was avoiding said person. I don’t want anything to do with him right now, but I feel it deep in my bones that I’m gonna end up with him tonight. A bell tinkled as the front door to the bakery opened.
“I say we go to Brentwood!”
“No, we don’t leave out the house tonight, I say we stay in and watch movies.” Glancing up I see Ruby, Jamal, Monse, and Olivia walk in and sit down at a corner booth.
“What’s wrong with going out?” Olivia turned her head to the side looking at Monse.
“Last year we got rolled up on. Not fun at all. But hey, scary movies are just as fun.”
“Let’s go to Brentwood.”
“I say we go out tonight, think we go somewhere different, -“
“Brentwood
”
“Brentwood, let’s go to Brentwood.”
“It is safer, bigger houses, that means better candy!” Monse enthusiastically replies leaning closer to Olivia. “But what about Cesar?”
“What about him?”
“Where will he be?”
“Riding in Oscar’s Impala, why does it even matter?”
“Just asking I thought it’d be good to include him; he is a part of the group.” The questioning went back and forth for a while, before they went on to tease each other. I slide the cake in the fridge to firm before heading to the front with cookies, and cupcakes and laying them on the table in front of them.
“I’m feeding y’all sweets before trick or treating, y’all better start loving me more.” I love you’s were quickly spread around the group.
“So, I guess you’re going out?”
“Do you wanna give us- “
“Hell no,” Laughing I turn around to check the checkout line. “I’m not getting mixed up in any foolery tonight, I’m staying in and handing out candy, but um good luck!” Walking into the kitchen I hang my apron and fetch my belongings.
“Someone let Maddie know I’m gone for the day!” I welcome the warm fresh kiss against my face as I step outside, I just smell trouble.
~~
For the rest of the evening I’m cleaning the kitchen, swiffering the floors, and dancing around to music when I get a knock at the door.
“Oh, my first trick or tr-eaters.” I all but run to the door just to be met with chocolate eyes adorned with a teardrop and white teeth.
“Trick or treat!”
“Sorry, I’m not handing any candy out tonight.” I try to close the door, but I’m met with force.
“Let me in Daisy, we need to talk.” Knowing he wasn’t going to leave until I follow his orders, I place the bowl on the accent table by the door and make my way back to the kitchen.
“How come every time you want to talk; it has to be on your terms? When I wanted to talk you weren’t up to it.”
He scoffs, “How come you didn’t want to talk all those years ago?”
“If you’re going to continue to bring it up then you can find your way back out my damn door,” Placing my hands on my wide hips. “Now, are you hungry?”
“Feed me mamacita, you know I’m always hungry.” Quickly I warm some leftovers, creamy shrimp Alfredo with garlic bread. Small talk was made as we ate, and trick or tr-eaters came and went. Everything was calm until Oscar got a weird text message.
“I gotta go!” He mumbles through clenched teeth.
“Woah, woah, what’s going on? Is everything okay?” Jumping up, I trail after him to the door.
“Cesar needs me.” I grab his arm and turn him to face me.
“What happened to him? Is he hurt?”
“No, but he and his friends crashed a pa- “
“Wait, he went with them tonight?” He nods, “I’m going with you and don’t try to stop me, Monse is with them. So, I’m going!” Within 5 minutes I’m perched in the passenger side of his red impala and we’re speeding to Brentwood. A large and warm hand is placed upon my thigh and that’s when I realized how bad I was shaking.
“They’re okay, no one is seriously hurt.” Yeah, that wasn’t very convincing. My fucking nerves are fried. His hand stays there the rest of the way. Brentwood is one beautiful neighborhood. For the rich. The kids come into view as he comes to a stop in front of some party, with a group of young boys standing outside. Before I can even think, Oscar is out and speed walking to the kid dressed up like a Cholo. Oh fuck.
“Spooky!” I yell as soon as I step out the car. He begins whispering and the poor kid starts shaking. Footsteps come rushing over when I hear a familiar voice call my name. I meet the halfway and carefully check everyone over before I return my focus to Oscar.
“What do you want?” I guess you don’t mess with anyone Oscar loves.
~~
We drop Monse off at dads, with the promise of me coming back to pick her up later, and everyone else at Ruby’s. Oscar comes back to my house to “make sure I make it back safe”.
“I’ll be okay Oscar, I promise. Plus, I’m going to get Monse in a bit.”
“I wasn’t going to hurt him.” Blowing air, I turn to face him.
“If he would’ve drew blood from any of them, would you have hurt him?” He looks me in my eyes, and I feel goosebumps rise as he starts moving towards me.
“I don’t like when someone messes with the people I love, or who they love.” One step backwards for every step forward.
“You didn’t answer my question.” I whisper as my back hits a wall. His hands immediately come to rest on my face.
“I’ll kill anyone who hurts my loved ones.” Soft lips fall upon mine, and before I know it my thighs are wrapped around his waist and we’re on our way to my bedroom. Well tonight didn’t go as planned. Especially once I end up underneath him. Bad habits die hard they say
and you Oscar Diaz, you’re my bad habit

The softest, fluffiest, cavity inducing fic ever to be written for Sommercy/Life Hacks. I'll pay you in my eternal love and support if this is done. My ship is underrated (':
Oh bet?? I LOVE Sommercy, you’ve come to the right place my friend..
Mercy waved happily to the guards standing outside the overwatch base, and sauntered away, heading into town. She hated having to meet her girlfriend like this, but some things like this were necessary, when you’re having relations with someone on the enemy team, you’re practically both traitors. If only being traitors didn’t have such an appeal, a hacking, purple appeal to be exact.
Angela smiled at the thought of seeing her love again, she always felt so giddy, like a teenager again when they were together, she held a hand to her mouth to try and cover her wide smile. She walked into a store and into the bathroom, reaching into the bag she was carrying to get a change of clothing, out of the doctor attire and into more casual attire. She changed into a grey turtleneck and black jeans, letting her hair down and putting a beret on. Angela hastily pressed her work clothes into her bag and left the store, heading towards a slightly run down motel. When she arrived, she was greeted by a manager at the front desk.
“Angie! So good to see you again!” The woman said cheerfully. “Same room?” “Yes please Liz, that would be lovely.” Mercy walked over to the desk and placed $150 on it. “Keep the change Lizzy, you deserve it.” She said with a smile.“Bless you Angela, enjoy your stay.”
Angela smiled and took the key from the manager, finding her way into the room, many memories had made their way into this small little room, Mercy could swear it even smelled like Sombra at this point. She let out a small sigh at the fact that her girlfriend STILL wasn’t here yet.
“Late as always Olivia.”
Mercy sat down on the one armchair that resided in the room, she lounged on it and eventually dozed off.
Around 20 minutes passed, and Sombra finally arrived, making her way into the room, and noticing the sleeping Mercy on the chair. She stopped and stared for a moment, admiring the angelic figure before her, pure beauty had never been seen before until Sombra met Mercy, and she fell, HARD.
Olivia finally stepped towards the sleeping woman, and began to litter her face with kisses, leaving small purple lipstick imprints all over her features. Mercy just pulled her arms up to cover her face and began to giggle.
“Y-You know everytime you do that I hehe.. I have to wash the lipstick off my face, right?” Mercy said, lowering her arms.“I can’t help it ángel! You are just too cute miel..” Sombra said in a snarky tone.“Well now I have to spend an extra 10 minutes wiping lipstick off before we can actually go on a date.” Angela said with a laugh.“How about I give you a little more to wipe off?” Sombra flirted.“Oh?”
Olivia smiled and placed her index finger under Angela’s chin, and placed her thumb on top of her chin, leaning in and kissing her gently, Angela kissed back, and then began to smile again.
“You are incredibly cute Olivia.”“Yeah, coming from the literal ANGEL, you’re the cute one miel, I can barely keep my hands off you.” She leaned in and kissed her again.
Mercy’s cheeks flushed, and she hid her face in her hands.
“I need to wash off this lipstick now.” She said, standing up from her chair, Sombra giving a hand in lifting her up.
Angela walked over to the bathroom and grabbed a rag, gently washing away the purple markings left on her face. Sombra began to strip down to change into casual clothes as well. Mercy peeked over at Olivia while she was changing, and then quickly looked back in the mirror, her face flushed.
Sombra noticed this, and walked over to Mercy in just her underwear.
“You know you’re allowed to look at me ángel, right?” Sombra said slyly, wrapping an arm around Mercy’s waist.
Mercy just looked away, continuing to wipe her face.
“Right, ángel?” Sombra repeated.
“Can I be honest with you Olivia?”
“¿QuĂ© tal?”
“I don’t think I’ve ever been quite so in love with someone liebe, I get so nervous, so many butterflies when you are near, sometimes it’s easy to forget how long we’ve been together because of how childish I still feel about your affection. I love you, Olivia.” Angela said, placing a kiss on her lover’s forehead.
Sombra placed both her hands over her mouth as the colour in her face deepened. “I could marry you right now Angela, I swear.”
“If only we could meine geliebte.”
Sombra frowned, walking into the other room to change into her outfit for the day, she finished changing, and Mercy walked out of the bathroom. As soon as she did, Sombra quickly wrapped her arms around Mercy again.
“Sombra?” “What’s stopping us?”“What do you mean?”“What’s stopping us from just leaving and getting married? Why can’t we just run from all this shit and just have each other?”
Mercy paused briefly, speaking up again shorty after.
“Talon might have you killed, and Overwatch would arrest me for treason.”
Angela lifted a hand to scratch her own head, and then placed her other hand on Olivia’s.
“Then.. Then I’ll join Overwatch! I barely exist already, do you really think Talon would be able to find me if I just.. Erased myself?” “Maybe, maybe not, but that still leaves the entire “Joining Overwatch” part Olivia. You ARE a part of Talon, it would take some serious time and reasoning to convince everyone there.”“I’d probably have to be a rat, you’re right.. But..”“But?”“I just know I’d do anything to be with you Angela.”
Angela began to tear up, and tightly wrapped her arms around Olivia, placing her chin on Sombra’s head.
“Ich liebe dich.. Meine geliebte.. Ich liebe dich ĂŒber alles.” “H-Hey come on now Angela.. Don’t start, you know I will t-too.” She said, choking back tears.“I will do everything I can to ensure your safety meine geliebte, I promise.”“I promise the same for you, mi amor.”
Angela let go of Olivia, and she did the same, Mercy walked over to the door and looked out of the peephole just out of curiosity, and then waltzed back, sitting on the bed, Sombra took a seat next to her, laying her head on her girlfriend’s shoulder.
“Most of the people have already left the base, but Jack should still be there, we can go talk to him privately, and try to convince him to let you into Overwatch.” She paused. “But please, Olivia, try not to be rude or snarky, Jack will take that as a sign of insecurity and will be less likely to trust you. “Oh pobrecita, Jacky Morrison can’t take a little joke?”“I’m serious Olivia, if we’re serious about this.. I just want to ensure you DO get into Overwatch, we HAVE taken in criminals before, but never quite like this, so please, just stay with me and do as I say.”“Okay Angela, lighten up a little, I know I know this is serious, but right now it’s just you and me, I just want to enjoy these moments while I can, because I am assuming that they WILL detain me in the base?”
Mercy gave a small sigh, and leaned into her girlfriend.
“Maybe, but I will do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t stay that way.”“You’d better.” Sombra said, reaching up to boop the nose of her lover.“We should go before it gets too late and Jack leaves.”“Okay, lead the way Angela.”
Sombra and Mercy held hands and walked towards the Overwatch base, when they got near the base, Sombra went invisible and followed closely behind Mercy. She walked up the the guards stationed outside and gave them a wave and a smile.
“Back again Miss Ziegler?” One of the guards chimed in.“Yes, I still have patients and work I need to attend to, but even doctors need breaks.”“I understand Miss Ziegler.” He said with a smile, as she handed him her ID card, and walked inside.
The two walked deeper inside, and Sombra unstealthed with a sigh. Mercy just leaned in and kissed her girlfriend’s cheek, when Sombra went to do the same, Angela stopped her with a hand.
“Lipstick, Olivia.”“Dammit, you’re right.”
Angela gave a small giggle and walked towards Jack Morrison’s office. When she reached his office, she gave a gentle knock and turned to Sombra.
“Wait here until I come get you okay? If someone comes, stealth.”“Got you.”
Mercy opened the door and walked inside to see Jack hunched over his desk, she walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Are you feeling alright Jack?” She said with a smile.Jack leaned up from his desk and turned his chair around. “Ah, Dr. Ziegler, you’re back sooner than I expected. Yeah I’m fine, just tired.”“Having trouble sleeping again?”“Yeah, it’s no big deal though.“Mm. Jack listen, I have something important we need to talk about.”“What do you mean Angela?”“I’ve brought someone here, someone very special to me, someone hoping to take refuge here, and I needed to come to you about it first.”“You don’t always have to come directly to me for new recruits Doctor, you can-”“Jack, this case is special, she’s..”“She?”“Yes, she.” “Huh, I never took you for the type Angela.”“Besides the point Jack, she’s.. From Talon.”
Jack’s eyes widened and his mouth slightly agape, he furrowed his brows.
“You brought someone from Talon here? Are you crazy?! She could tear us apart from the inside out!”“It’s not like that Jack! She’s different! We’ve.. We’ve been together almost 2 years now.”“2 years?! Angela are you insane?! How much information has she fed to Talon?!”“Nothing Jack! You’re not listening to me! She’s WILLINGLY fed personal Talon information to me to show her trust in me. If anything, she’s in deeper shit than we are, if they found out about her, they’d likely kill her.”
Jack placed a hand on his face and looked away confused, he turned his chair back towards his desk and spoke again.
“So who IS she?” he said in a gruff voice.“Let me get her.”
Angela walked towards the door and out into the hallway, she stared at Sombra for a moment before whispering “Are you ready?” Sombra just gave a gentle nod, before following Mercy inside, holding her hand. Soldier turned towards the pair.
“It’s her, Jack, Sombra.”“You’re absolutely insane Doctor.”“Do you really think that she would go out of her way to meet me at a motel weekly for 2 years just to take down Overwatch? Are you serious Jack?”“She’s the most dangerous hacker in the world Angela.”“And she wants to disappear Jack, she wants to be safe.. With me.”
Jack paused and let out a disgruntled sigh.
“You’re right about this situation being special Doctor Ziegler.”“I know, but I promise you her intentions are pure, I know her, ALL of her.”
Sombra blushed slightly, turning to Mercy, and burying her nose in her collarbone.
“Look! Look at how flustered she is Jack! Have you ever seen “The world’s most dangerous hacker” hide in the shoulder of a world renowned doctor? She’s still human Jack..”
Angela placed a hand on Olivia’s head and ran her hand through her hair.
“She even told me her name Jack, her REAL name.”
Jack was silent for a while before finally speaking up.
“We would need to make absolutely sure she’s not here to sabotage Overwatch.”“Then put us under surveillance Jack, you can have people check on us, and also have us under technological surveillance. I don’t care I just..” Mercy paused and closed her eyes. “I just want my girlfriend to be safe from harm.”“If I do that, you two would be confined to the Overwatch base, and have to be escorted by Overwatch agents, you’re still our doctor Miss Ziegler, so you would still be working, however you would be under the supervision of guards at all times, are you sure this is what you want Angela?” Jack said with remorse.“If it means that Sombra isn’t getting killed for having relations with an Overwatch agent, then I will gladly oblige to any precautionary measures Jack.”
Soldier just placed a hand on his forehead and sighed again.
“You must really like this girl Angela.” “I do, Jack, I really do.”
Sombra finally opened her mouth after being silent for ages.
“Never as much as I’ll like you though mi amor.”
Olivia turned her face to the side and pressed her cheek against Angela’s chest.
“Oh, so she DOES speak? For a second I thought she’d gone mute after meeting you Angela.” Sombra side-eyed Soldier and said “If I were to ever go mute from seeing the most incredible thing in the world, I would have gone mute over 2 years ago.”Angela giggled and wrapped her arms tightly around Olivia. “Such a charmer you are.”
Olivia looked away from Soldier and thought deeply about what she should say next “Just stay with me and do as I say” Mercy’s words echoed in her mind.
“I know you’re skeptical, I got it, but I’m just saying, everyone sees me as the most powerful hacker in the world, do you really think I wouldn’t be able to find any important information about Overwatch in the blink of an eye? OF COURSE I knew where this base was but you know who doesn’t? Talon. I’ve been purposely keeping secrets to keep Angela safe, doesn’t that mean anything to you Morrison? I could DIE for doing this.”
Jack groaned and turned back towards his desk, resting his head on his arm.
“Look, I want to believe you, and our beloved doctor, hell I trust what you say, however, if I were to just let you in here without any investigation, Overwatch would be in shambles and I would get SO MANY complaints, that’s too much paperwork. You’ll be confined to the base but..” He paused, avoiding eye contact. “You two can be confined together, Sombra, you will stay with Doctor Ziegler in her office while she’s working, and you two can share a room, you will still be under major surveillance, so keep that in mind,
Angela gave him a wide smile and let go of Sombra, running over to hug Jack tightly.
“Thank you so so much Jack, thank you.”“Yeah yeah alright Angela. Could you also change my sleeping medication so I can actually sleep tonight?”“Of course Jack, care to escort us back to my office?”
Angela let go of him and headed out the door, Sombra walked close to Jack and stared at him for a moment before whispering “Gracias amigo.” and walking out to Angela, grasping her hand. Soldier stood up from his chair and saluted to Sombra, before following out with them.
Yo listen I love Sommercy and I’m hella gay thx, should I make a part 2 to this? I’d love to write more to this basic plot and also add other characters into it too! Thank u so much anon u gave me a reason to write Sommercy and I am blessed. Let me know what you think and also!

~ The full story ~
A/N: I actually had no intention of writing Jack and Elena’s wedding, but I caved. This was also longer than I intended it, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“Hi, Harry.”
Andrea's voice gave him goosebumps.
He had avoided her throughout the weekend but he knew today was inevitable. He tried to seem like everything was fine when it wasn’t, but today he had to put on his best face. When he turned around and saw Andrea in a pale pink dress, with a braid in her hair and makeup that made her face glow like the angel he knew she was, he was sure he wanted to die.
Today was going to be awful.
“Hey, ba— Andrea, how are you?”
Andrea walked closer towards him. She was visibly nervous. She thought she would faint after seeing him in a kilt.
She hadn’t seen him in over six months. They’d successfully avoided each other every time she was in London to visit.
“I’m good, yeah? A bit eager to get this all started, actually,” said Andrea.
“Yeah, me too.”
Awkward silence.
“Harry—“
“Listen, I—“
They both laughed nervously. Harry smiled at Andrea and she felt her world spin.
“H, I know things aren’t good between us, but it’s a really big day and we’re both such an important part of this, I just don’t want it to be weird today, you know? Like tomorrow we can avoid each other again, but today is going to be impossible. Let’s enjoy that our best friends are getting married and that we were crucial to making it happen. Let’s enjoy us and them and the group. What do you say?”
Harry couldn’t control himself. He took a step forward and hugged her. He took a deep breath and sighed. Andrea gracefully wrapped her hands around his neck, almost by instinct.
After what felt an eternity, Harry separated, kissed Andrea’s forehead and smiled.
“Let’s enjoy us today then. Walk you back?”
“No, it’s all right. You can’t see the bride yet,” said Andrea.
“Andie?”
She stopped and turned around. “Yes, Harry?”
“You look absolutely stunning today. Elena’s probably jealous of you and everything.”
Andrea laughed. “You haven’t seen how she looks, Harold. She’s put us all to shame. I’ll see you later.”
Tom knocked on the door and Tomås opened it.
“Namesake!” Tomás said, hugging him.
“Namesake!” said Tom.
“How are you? Come in!”
Tom walked into the house filled with sounds of blow dryers and 90s pop music. People were running from one side to the other.
“Oi! This is insane,” said Tom.
Tomás laughed. “It is a happy day!”
“Can I see her? I bring something special.”
“Sure. She’s actually upstairs right now.”
“Solid, thanks Tom.”
Tom jumped up the stairs, holding a small box in his hands. He knocked on a door and Elena’s voice told him to come in.
The dress hung on the wall, but Elena already had her hair and makeup done. Andrea was right. She was the most beautiful woman in that island today. She was talking to her photographer.
“Tommy!” She stood up and hugged him.
“Holy fucking shit Elena, you look unbelievable.”
“Do you think so? I’m quite happy with the result,” Elena’s smile made the entire room shine.
“I think Jack’s going to have a heart attack, honestly.”
Elena laughed. “I hope he has a light tumble at least.”
“Speaking of light tumbles, I think you should sit down for this.”
Elena was suspicious. “What?”
“Just listen to me, Bride to be.”
Elena obliged and Tom took out a small box from his sporran.
“He knows you guys are mixing Scottish traditions with your Venezuelan ones, and want to do this a bit more modern, but he couldn’t let something as important as this go unnoticed. So here. There’s also a letter.”
Elena’s face changed. “What did he do?”
Tom smiled. “Just open it.”
Elena opened the box and there was a small gold brooch with two hearts intertwined and a crown on top. She gasped and obviously started crying. It was almost an automatic reflex.
The photographer took pictures of her crying with the brooch in her hands.
“This is so beautiful, oh my god. I can’t believe I’m marrying him. I can’t believe we made it this far. He is so special to me,” Elena said between sobs.
Tom smiled. “Well, mate, if it makes you feel better, none of us actually thought we’d be here three years after that beach trip.”
“You sod! Is my makeup ruined?”
“No, Ellie, you’re all right!” Tom hugged her.
“I love Jack so much!” Elena cried and laughed at the same time.
Tom smiled and kissed her cheek. “I’ve got to go back. I’ll see you in a bit, but before I leave, I know I say this often, but you are amazing, Ellie. I’m so happy to be here in your wedding to my best friend. You changed all our lives as soon as you walked into them, but mostly his, and he’s a better man today because of it. I’m elated for you two. I love you, mate.”
Elena swatted his arm. “Enough! Stop making me cry! I love you too, go away!”
Tom laughed and left.
“Chris, could you go get one of the makeup girls? I’m pretty sure I’m going to cry more when I read this.”
The photographer smiled. “Of course, Elena.”
“Our hearts will finally be one. I can’t wait to see you and marry you. Love, Jack.”
“This stupid asshole!” Elena said to herself, unable to stop her tears.
Chris and Melanie, one of the makeup girls, opened the door. Andrea followed.
“Everything okay here?” Andie asked.
“I want to get married now now now now!” Elena shouted.
“Chill, bro, it’s in like an hour. Oooh! What’s this?” Andrea grabbed the brooch.
“It’s a luckenbooth. A brooch the groom gives to his betrothed.”
“Awwwww Jackie is such a romantic. I love it. It’s beautiful.”
“Don’t make fun of him!”
“Are you kidding me? I love his grumpy ass. Don’t you mess with my mate Jack.”
The girls laughed as Melanie retouched Elena’s makeup.
Jack stood outside the church with his immediate family, Tom, Jack, and Fionn. The boys looked amazing in kilts.
“Maybe she got cold feet,” said Calum, nudging Jack.
Jack rolled his eyes. “Fuck off, Calum.”
“Ah mate! Don’t get angry. I’d doubt spending the rest of my life with you as well,” said Harry.
The boys laughed.
“I would never want to spend my life with ye, ye bloody wanker.”
The wait was making Jack grumpy — as always. He was so impatient. Elena knew this. Why was she torturing him so much?
“Mate, do we really need pictures of our every movement?” Fionn asked, obviously annoyed by the amount of photographers.
Jack laughed. “She wants them. She gets them.”
“Already letting her call the shots, mate. You’re screwed for the rest of your life,” said Calum.
“Happily,” said Jack.
“Oh! There they come!” Jack’s mum said, clapping. She grabbed her son’s arm affectionately.
The bagpipes announced that, in fact, the bridal party was arriving to the church. The wedding planner put everyone in order.
Jack was jittery. He wanted to see Elena immediately.
But she had refused. He would see her as soon as she walked into the church.
No first looks. No nothing.
The music inside the church started and Jack’s dad entered with Rosa.
Then Jack and his mum.
The boys waited outside while the girls arrived.
The girls hugged the boys and they all followed suit.
Elena hadn’t even made it to the church. She walked behind everyone with Tomás, taking their time.
The pairs entered like this: Tom with Alessia, Elena’s cousin. Fionn with Andrea. Olivia with Harry. Lucia with Calum.
Everyone was all smiles. Jack faced the altar as he couldn’t turn around until the wedding march started. Elena really enjoyed torturing him. He would get back at her at some point. Maybe he’d tie her up in the honeymoon and fuck her until she couldn’t breathe properly.
Then, the bagpipes changed the tune and everyone stood up. Jack’s mum gasped loudly. Jack could finally turn around.
She was a vision.
Jack finally understood what Tomás said about Clara’s smile lighting up cities and reuniting The Beatles. And he was absolutely sure Elena’s surpassed her mother. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
The dress flowed with every step she took. It was simple, elegant, and perfect for her. Her hair was in a bun and had braids on it.
Jack forgot where he was as soon as their eyes met.
Tears ran down his face while he laughed.
“Wow,” said Fionn.
“Oh my god, mate, Jack’s crying!” said Harry.
“Look at how they’re looking at each other. I’m so happy this is happening,” said Tom, a bit misty eyed as well.
“Lads, can you believe Jack is the first to get married?” asked Harry.
“Well, he’s the oldest, so yes,” said Fionn.
“Mate, but it’s Jack yeah? Grumpy wanker. Who’d put up with him?”
“Someone who made him stop being angry all the time,” said Tom.
Olivia, Lucia, Andrea, and Alessia were all crying.
“Olivia, you’re being ridiculous. The whole town can hear you crying!” said Lucia, wiping her tears.
“I can’t believe this. She is an angel. I love this so much. I love her. I love him. I love them. I’m so happy!” said Olivia.
Andrea couldn’t even speak. She was almost in a state of shock. She couldn’t keep her eyes off them. The way Jack and Elena were looking at each other gave her hope for the future. Like they had their own inside language where words didn’t matter and looks said more than words ever could. Maybe she’d have that someday as well.
The world disappeared.
It was just Jack and Elena.
Finally getting married.
Jack’s breath faltered as Elena came closer. She was everything he’d ever wanted plus so much more. He couldn’t believe everything they’d lived together during the past three years, but Jack was absolutely certain of something: there was no one else in the fucking galaxy who he’d want to share his life and everything that came along with it than with the person who was now two steps away from him.
TomĂĄs cried all the way up the aisle.
“Clara is absolutely loving this,” was all he could say.
Elena squeezed his hand tighter and smiled.
“I know.”
Jack and Tomås hugged.
Then he held out her hand and she took it.
“Hi,” said Elena in a whisper, while the ceremony started.
“Ye are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen and I can’t believe we’re here.”
“Don’t make me cry more!”
Jack kissed her temple.
“Ey ey! No kissing until you’re husband and wife!” Harry shouted.
The people in the church laughed.
Jack and Elena didn’t listen. It was like they were alone.
“I walked out of the house with my right foot, and I have the white heather. I think we covered everything we needed to,” said Elena.
“Birdie, stop checking things off your list. We’re getting married. Someone else has that task today.”
Elena giggled. “You’re right. You’re right.”
“Ye are now husband and wife,” the minister said.
“Yes!” Harry screamed and started clapping.
Fionn sat him down and rolled his eyes.
Andrea looked at them longingly. Harry looked so happy. She hoped she looked that happy as well. It was her best friend’s wedding. Fionn saw her and rolled his eyes at her as well.
The things he had to put up with.
Tartan confetti decorated Jack and Elena’s exit as husband and wife from the church.
Harry had cut in front of Fionn and he had exited the church with Andrea. Fionn scowled but Harry was quite pleased with himself.
Andie didn’t breathe the entire way out. As soon as they’d left, she let him go and went to the car.
First came the Scottish wedding protocols.
Then the wedding pictures. The Isle of Skye was absurdingly picturesque, so they’d spent about an hour in those before joining the guests officially.
Then, came the toasts.
The guests were all in their seats eating all the food Elena had shipped from a Venezuelan catering company in Spain.
Tom was the first speech of the night.
“I met Jack one night outside a bar where Fionn and I were on the losing side of a fight. Both him and Harry got involved even though they had no idea who we were. Probably felt sorry for us for getting our arses kicked for defending a group of girls. I didn’t understand why this bloke who was three years older than me suddenly was getting punched as well, and so was another lad who I didn’t know as well, but we fought back and they ended way worse than we did. That’s actually how the four of us met.”
“How strange, Jack picking up fights with people,” said Calum from the other side of the table.
“Calum!” Jack’s mum said.
“Definitely a good idea to put Tom to make the speech, Birdie. Bringing up my past as a troublemaker,” Jack whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek.
“It could have been Calum or Harold, Babe.”
“Why are you always right?” Jack asked.
“Better you realise it now. It’s going to save us plenty of time for the rest of our lives,” Elena pecked him.
They giggled.
“...Another fun fact is that I had to drag Jack to the Portugal trip. And that bloody wanker met Elena on our first day there. Two days later, he moved to their house. And the rest, as they say, is history. Elena and Jack have been an example in all-encompassing love for those of us who have lived with them every day, ups and downs included. I’m happy to tell you my best friends have set the bar high for the rest of us because how beautiful it would be to have a relationship as strong as theirs. I am absolutely convinced these two can handle everything life throws at them. To Jack and Elena and the life they are starting together.”
The guests clapped and cheered.
“I don’t understand why they made me follow Tom, who would obviously make everyone cry. I don’t think I’ll make anyone cry,” said Andrea as soon as she grabbed the microphone.
“Enough!” Elena shouted at her.
Andrea laughed nervously. “Well, hello everyone. Tom went over how hard it was for him to deal with Jack, but I would get into bar fights every single fucking day than deal with Elena’s stubbornness one more day of my life
”
“Hear hear!” said Tomás, who was sitting next to Elena.
The whole party laughed.
“Dad!” said Elena.
“I can relate so much, Chiqui. What’s an old man to do?”
“Elena is nothing short of absolutely fantastic. She has the biggest heart I’ve ever seen, she’s kind, she’s insanely funny, wicked smart, and all of us are better people because we are her friends. That’s the truth
”
“Hear hear!” said Tomás again, clapping this time.
“Dad! Let Andrea finish, please!” Elena was embarrassed.
“The only problem with Elena sometimes is she needs to be reminded of all these wonderful things. And thank god she found Jack, because that job is exhausting. Mate, she’s totally yours now. I don’t accept returns. You have her for the rest of your life
”
More laughter.
“No, but seriously. It wasn’t easy to get to where we are because you two are so hardheaded, but being here today absolutely restores our faith in humanity and in love. Being here, seeing everyone as elated as I feel, as happy for you as I am, and absolutely excited for you as I am, just proves how meant to be this was. You bring out the best in each other and that’s how I knew Jack was worthy of being with my sister. I honestly believe you would have found each other eventually, because the connection you two have is something that can’t be described by normal people. Sometimes everything fits. Jack, thank you for loving my Ellie the way she has always deserved to be loved, even when she didn’t believe it and we literally had to survive a terrorist attack for her to come to her senses. Ellie, take care of my boy Jack. Always be good to each other. I can’t wait to be part of your married life as well. Everyone, please, let’s raise our glasses again to Jack and Elena.”
The guests clapped and cheered. Jack wiped Elena’s tears and kissed her cheek.
Finally, the Venezuelan wedding begun. Everyone ate their food, and the music picked up.
Jack and Elena never sat down and danced for as long as they could. They had assigned servers that alternated drinks with water and food so they wouldn’t get drunk.
People were drunk and jumping around to Mr. Brightside. Jack and Elena were in the middle of the dancefloor singing and laughing.
Andrea hadn’t realised she was next to Harry, but he was perfectly aware of where he was.
She stopped jumping and saw him, forehead full of sweat, smiling at her with a twinkle in his eye, and in the middle of a huge adrenaline rush.
She smiled back, wrapped her arm around his waist, and continued jumping.
At about two-thirty, Jack and Elena snuck out of their own wedding, and a driver took them to the cottage they’d rented to spent their first weekend as husband and wife before flying off to their honeymoon to Asia. He kissed her temple all the way there.
Jack slowly unbuttoned her dress, kissing every part of her skin that revealed itself.
“I can’t believe ye exist,” Jack whispered to her.
“I can’t believe we’re married,” said Elena. She turned around and put her hands on the back of his neck and played with his hair. He closed his eyes and breathed her in.
It had been an emotional day.
Now, Jack sat on the bed while Elena stood in front of him and they couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Everyone had made jokes about the wedding night, especially after Harry opened the drawer with the sex toys and told the boys about it, but in an unspoken agreement, they knew tonight wasn’t about blindfolds, butt plugs, and pain and daddy kinks.
This was different.
Elena kissed him softly and Jack stood up, pulling apart and turning her around again, towering over her. He continued unbuttoning her dress.
When he was done, he slid it off and it pooled on her feet.
“Step out of it, my love. Let’s hang it up.”
Elena did as she was told. Jack grabbed the dress and hung it on the closet next to the bathroom. He walked back to her as she stood there waiting.
“My turn,” she said.
Elena undressed Jack delicately as well, peppering him with kisses along the way. She placed the kilt and everything else on a chair and came back to her naked husband sat on the bed waiting for her.
“Ye are too dressed now. Fix it!”
“You’re stealing my lines,” said Elena, hands on her waist.
Jack laughed and pulled her to him, their chests crashing. He unclasped her white strapless bra and rolled down the white lace knickers she wore and in a swift move, grabbed her by the waist and put himself on top of her on the bed.
“Have you been practicing?” Elena asked.
“Not really, but I was hoping I’d get it right tonight,” said Jack.
She laughed. “You get it right every time.”
The kisses tonight weren’t rushed. Jack and Elena were always intense sexually, and tonight wasn’t an exception, but they were taking their time. She felt him hard against her leg but all she wanted right now was to kiss him, and he seemed to want the same.
Jack kissed her neck and squeezed her breasts before moving his mouth to her nipples to tease her. Elena’s hand trailed down and started rubbing his cock up and down. He hissed.
“Keep doin’ that, Birdie,” said Jack with Elena’s left nipple between his teeth.
Elena’s back arched and her entire body got goosebumps.
Jack kissed her stomach and made his way down, where he could feel Elena wet and burning. The sight of Jack’s face between her legs, with his hands grabbing her thighs, and his wedding ring glowing in the light turned her on more than she thought. They were married.
After her first orgasm, she forced Jack into the bed, licked her lips, and got his cock as far back as her throat would let her. Jack’s moan made her giggle, which actually made him moan harder. Her tongue played with his head, licked the precome off and winked at him.
“I can’t believe I’m married to ye. Get over here!” said Jack.
He pulled Elena upwards and they kissed for a while.
That’s when he finally grabbed hold of himself, lined up, and pushed himself in slowly. Elena moaned and lifted herself to feel him deeper within her.
“I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of feeling you inside me,” Elena whispered between moans.
“I’m not ever going to get tired of being inside ye,” said Jack, thrusting slowly but effectively, hitting all the spots he knew she liked.
“Harder,” said Elena.
He obliged.
“Harder,” said Elena again.
He spanked Elena’s bum and bit her neck. She moaned into his mouth and giggled.
Some things couldn’t be left behind for the wedding night.
After a round of thundering orgasms, Jack and Elena fell asleep into their first night as husband and wife.
The new adventure began.
