“i don’t know how this is going to go.. i should’ve stayed at home..” was the words that couldn’t leave the young male’s mind. before arriving to the audition, he had been talking to his cousin about the nerve-wrecking event. part of him couldn’t believe he decided to go through with the idea. another part of him just wanted to escape in hopes no one would catch him.

as he observed the scenery, he may have been unsure of what was going on behind the scenes, but he felt somewhat motivated to see other individuals who looked his age. being in this generation he knows that comes with plenty of expectations, especially from those much older than him. chewing down on his lower lip, he inhale for a few seconds before exhaling deeply; a method that helps with his anxiety and the nervousness. before he could even think about backing out, he heard his name being called from an unfamiliar voice. it was show time.

jordan had decided to perform one of his favorite songs from his top inspiration in the music industry. it may of not been enough time, but deep down in his heart he knew he had to brush off the nervous energy and put in his all for the judges he was auditioning for. if he wanted to be taken seriously as an idol one day, this is the price he had to pay, an opportunity that could not go to waste.

once the audition was over, it was time for jordan to take a breather, answer a few questions and show off a hidden talent.

"What style of music/performance suits you best and why?"

as much as jordan always promised to never place himself inside of a box, his mind immediately rang a bell at the question that was provided to him. the genre that he grew up on and has even helped him throughout his childhood years. “i will forever adore the r&b genre. tons of talent, amazing beats and styles is tied to such a timeless genre. it’s like my adrenaline begins to rush through my body whether i’m singing or dancing along to it.”

"Why do you want to become a kpop idol?"

why did he want to become a kpop idol? he refused to answer in such a cliche way but attempted to answer in the best way possible. “as someone who is still young and knows there are people my same age who may want to achieve a similar dream, i want to be able to show the world that anything is possible. it’s a risk and trust me, as someone who has flown thousands of miles to be where i am today, it will be worth it in the long run.”

"What would you do if you won ₩1,000,000,000 (~$750,000) in the lotto?"

“$750,000 in american dollars.. yes?” jordan’s eyebrow raised after repeating the amount of money. his lips curled into a small grin before clearing his throat. “if you spot me front row at a beyoncé show, you do not know me.” he joked, or was it a joke? ”first things first, definitely helping my family. they’ve helped me in ways i couldn’t even help myself. and anything that i may have left i would just place it to the side in case of emergencies. you never know what may happen!”

after the question round was completed, he then walks over to grab the canvas that he arrived with. making his way back over to where he originally started, he pulls out a canvas of a michael jackson painting that he had done. aside from singing and dancing, painting also brought him joy. smiling, he begins to explain the purpose of it, "this is one of my idols. his message was all sorts of positivity, motivation and being the best you can be no matter who doesn't like the message. if anyone tells you, you can't? you can." with a smile, he ended his audition with a thank you before walking out prouder of himself than he ever was.

You would have never imagine Seonghwa as your boyfriend. He was this pretty boy that was in your best friend group, and you were in a small introverted group of friends. Both of y’all seemed to hit it off at a small friend gathering, then started hanging out with each other. Eventually, you both developed feelings, and started dating. Then he had to leave because he passed his auditions in South Korea. You decided it was important for him to chase your dreams, and after a few weeks, y’all were now away from each other. The relationship is long distanced, luckily, his company allowed both of y'all to date, since they didn’t like the idea of restricting their idols, you supported him every day of every year since his debut.

This time, you bought tickets for his next world tour, so you had an excuse to go see him. Unfortunately, covid 19 happened and stopped all of your plans, and even though both of y'all try to video chat, the time zones were always a problem. Seonghwa was unfortunately busy every time you called him due to the preparation of ATEEZ’s comeback, you understood that though. It was hard to balance phone calls and facetimes while practicing hard choreography and vocal training 24/7 . However, it doesn't dismiss the feeling of loneliness that got stronger every hour, minute and days that passed.

That's where the present brings; It was currently 4 am in your timezone , and you couldn’t sleep. You didn’t want to sound clingy nor pathetic, but the loneliness was getting to you. The way you couldn’t hold him, feel his warmth against your skin, have his soft hand softly caressing your hair to your cheek. Tears whelmed up in your eyes as you began to think of his presence, and then, a ringtone rang through the still air and darkness of your room. Confused as to why someone was calling you at this time, you quickly checked it and saw “여보 ♡” flashing onto the screen along side with the words of "Incoming Facetime call". With quirk swiftness, You sat up from your bed and answered the call.

“Oh? jagiya? you’re awake?” His voice spoke. The voice you missed so much, sweet as honey, tone as soft as someone whispering in a quiet calm library, gosh how much you have missed him. You smiled in the darkness, knowing he couldn’t see it but just his voice made you melt.

You look at his surrounding behind him. He was at home, inside the dorms. Did he just finished practice or was he resting? You heard him giggle and that’s when you saw he flashed you a smile.

“I can tell you’re studying me” he smirked. “I finished promotion today, I really wish I was able to see you.” You saw his eyes sparkle with the light from the ceiling but you can see the hint of sadness.

“I miss you too hwa, but it’s your job okay? Make sure you take care of yourself first.” You answered, feeling guilty that he was worried about you, when he had tons of problems within his own idol life or even himself.

“How can I not focus on you? You’re my baby. My one and only, my happiness is with you. Without you in my life, I am nothing.” He answered passionately. You giggled at him being dramatic, laying back down and snuggling into your bed. Seonghwa watched you lovingly and hummed softly, singing lyrics from their new Japanese song, reminding you that he was still here. “Seonghwa, your voice is making me sleepy” you whispered, closing your eyes slowly from his beautiful voice.

He smiled happily and let out a small laugh, “I’m sorry baby. It must be really early there, right?” He titled his head, “Gosh. I miss you so much. Your voice, your warmth, the way you hold my waist because you can't reach my shoulders...” he mumbles, watching you then he had an idea. “I can sing you to sleep. Just imagine everything okay?” He whispered. You let out a giggle, "Imagine?" "Please baby~" with a playful nod, you hummed quietly in agreement, just enjoying his company.

“Imagine me being there next to you, My warmth against your skin, your back against my stomach, my hands rubbing soft circles on your arm. Holding you close to me because I know how cold you get in the night. ” he lightly laugh. “Just the two of us, listening to each other’s heartbeats. Imagine me just caressing your face, the way you always like it. Soft kisses on the cheek..” Seonghwa spoke. Now focusing on your quiet breathing, assuming you fell asleep. “I miss you y/n..sleep well baby.” He whispered, kissing his screen, he missed you so much, it felt like he hasn't seen you in years. His plan was to come visit and spend at least a month after promotions, and luckily his company agreed to his plan. He stayed on the phone that night. Both of y’all falling asleep next to each other, no matter how far, he was by your side, and that was a promise he wanted to keep forever.

You take extra classes, make covers, mimic other great dancers, you're constantly in the practice room! So, yeah, you dance more than you breathe, this is not a secret! You've also known EXO's Kim Jongin for years, again, not a secret! He was one of the only idols to really reach out and interact with you in your trainee days; always offering to answer any "idol" questions you may have, offering to practice with you, teaching you new dance moves, critiquing your performances before every evaluation! He quickly ended up becoming your greatest teacher, an even greater friend, almost like a brother! So it's no shocker you're photographed together, a lot: Jongin entering your apartment building, Jongin picking you up and taking you out for dinner, you entering Jongin's apartment building etc. What is a bit shocking? Other activities: obviously you're a great dancer, singer and all around performer but sometimes you really just want to be challenged! So when you're management team signs you up for a spot in 'The King of Mask Singer' singing competition, you're both super excited and super nervous! It ends up going well and you gain a ton of new friends and even more fans from the experience! "It was so fun! I didnt know singing could be so exhilarating!" "So what?! You want to give up dance and become the next Mariah Carey?! Good choice! Less competition for me~" "Jongin, I will cut you.." What a massive dork!

I'm doing pretty well since I'm away. Slightly sunburned, but that's what happens when I inherit the Irish complexion instead of the Italian! But the sea air and leaving work stress behind has cleared my complexion ten fold, so there's that.

My favorite thing on your blog is hearing how you and Neville nugget are doing (and our mutual husband Agent Pike, who you got me in to!)

We went to an alpaca farm on the island and I got a cute teal bag with alpacas on it. It's been getting loads of compliments today and has made me smile a ton. I've been spending a lot of money here (yikes) but I got some cute clothes, a lovely alpaca wool blanket, a stuffed black lab dog that I've wanted since I was a kid and now have a job and can, and a teal collar with starfish and black labs on it for my future doggo (it fits the stuffed animal if it doesn't fit the real dog).

My favorite movie is Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (Russell Crowe, Paul Bettany, James D'arcy). I met some of my best friends through a M&C weekend in Toronto through the books that the movie was based on. Favorite musical is Les Miserables.

I love knitting, baking, historical (more historic inspired) costuming, and english country dancing/contra. ❤
