#its 2am on Christmas morning and i am thinking about UNIONS#AND GETTING MAD ABOUT THE 1975 DISMISSAL#anyway yes i am imagining being on a us talk show and trying to explain these things of which I am no expert#ice also been trying to think of a joke about how the whole of the us's problems stem from the fact they dont have a labor party#which isnt exactly true but also i know a decent amount about 5 countries political systems#(or at least enough to name their major parties) - us uk nz aust and canada#and 3 of them have labour parties and im not sure if canda doesn't#and like i wouldn't be surprised if most of europe had labour parties but like in their own language#i need to go down the international labor movement wikipedia page#you know if you look at major political parties they tend to have their international counterparts listed on the wiki????#not sure how formal a lot of them are or if they are more lose poltical alignments like left wing / right wing#BUT pretty sure theres a formal one for labor parties#ALSO i need to check if compulsory voting WAS put in place to counter the power of the unions mobilisation of their voters#i speak#I WANT TO KNOW SO MUCH#BUT ALSO I NEED TO SLEEP#AND I AM WAY TOO TIRED TO ACTUALLY DO MUCH RESEARCH
