adventures in serbia: cityscapes and monuments (+ a fortress) edition
#personal#only took one photo of golubac fortress bc it was so fucking hot that day; compounded by my body's battle with a minor 24 hour stomach bug#heatwave hasn't died down quite just yet but now that i've recovered at least i can better tolerate the heat#all i could think of as i approached the kosmaj monument were 1: 'i feel like i've stumbled upon some prothean architecture'#and 2: 'man it'd look so ominously cool on a foggy autumn/winter day'#if we had more time to spare i would've loved to go on a road trip around the former yugoslavia just to see all the incredible ww2 monument
