BIOGRAPHY

EARLY BEGINNINGS

Aurelia was born on May 7, 1993 in Toronto, Canada to their two loving parents. Though they didn't have much, the loving parents were hard workers and they tried their best to give their children the life they deserved. When Relia was 4, they welcomed their little sister, Bambi, into the world and the two quickly became thick as thieves

However, on quite a few occasions, the sisters were found to be unsupervised due to their parents' busy work schedule so eventually, they were put into the foster care system. Even though the system tried to split them up, the sisters desperately clung to one another and they were finally allowed to go to the same foster family

At first, their foster family had seemed so kind and caring. Aside from Aurelia and Bambi, they'd also taken in another child, Pixie Chia. They all became very close and for a while, everything was perfect. However, that moment quickly ended when Aurelia was 17

First, Pixie was sold to a 'family friend,' forced into a treacherous cycle of abuse. Next, in return for trying to protect their sister, their foster parents drowned Bambi in the pool. Aurelia watched their sister die right in front of their eyes and they had been powerless to stop it. When Relia tried to run away, their parents had the police track them down with a sob story that their mentally ill daughter had run away after discovering that their sister had tragically drowned in a terrible accident. To ensure that Aurelia would keep their mouth shut, the couple paid off a doctor to falsely diagnose them as 'mentally unstable' before shipping them off to Manchester, England

When they arrived in Manchester, they were taken in by a foster family that actually did care about them but they had a difficult time trusting them or anyone else for that matter. Given that they were medically labeled as 'mentally unstable,' no one listened to them when they tried to insist that their old foster family had sold off one child and murdered another

Once Relia turned 18, they left the system, even though their foster mum in Manchester tried to stay in touch with them. One of the first things they did once they left their foster home was make an appointment with a psychiatrist to set their record straight. While the psychiatrist did in fact clear them of being 'mentally unstable' and being in a rational state, Aurelia was subsequently diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and CPTSD, though they knew they couldn't afford to do anything about it

A NEW FOUND FAMILY

Soon after getting out of foster care, Aurelia fell into a rather dangerous crowd--or at least, a crowd that was deemed dangerous by society's standards. It was a gang called the Vipers. The members were similar to themselves--a lot of them had been in foster care, they'd been fucked over by the system, and they were angry, just like Aurelia. However, they were welcomed and after everything that had happened, the finally felt like they'd found their people and they were eager to be a part of something

Oddly enough, they also found love in the most unexpected of places. They'd met another member, a woman named Seraphim, and they'd fallen in love. Sure, they raised hell and scared the locals by day but at night, Aurelia would hold Sera in their arms and they'd dream about a future together, some place that was better than where they'd currently found themselves. Just like before, just as everything was starting to feel perfect, it ended abruptly

Trouble with a rival gang had sprung up and it had started to get violent. One day, Relia got caught in the crossfire, quite literally. An argument had escalated and suddenly, Sera found herself staring down the barrel of a gun. They couldn't watch this happen, not again. After all, they hadn't been able to protect Bambi but maybe they'd be damned if they watched another loved one die. Stupidly, Relia stepped between Sera and the gun, trying to prove their bravery and protect their love. But the person on the other side of the gun was gutsy, too, and was willing to prove it. In a display that showed they weren't fucking bluffing, the gunman shot both Aurelia and Sera right there. The last thing Relia remembered was looking over at Sera as they lay on the ground, quickly bleeding out

A ROTTEN START

The first thing Aurelia registered was that they were not where they'd been before. Just looking up at the harsh lights, the could feel in their bones that they were no longer in Manchester. They didn't even know how long they were in that cold and sterile place--it felt like forever. What they did know was that they could only remember bits and pieces of what had happened before. They could see it in their head: a gun, all that blood, Sera. There was a scar on their chest, right over their heart that was sensitive to the touch, the only physical remnant of what happened to them before

By the time they finally got out of there, they found themselves wandering through the vastness of Alaska, going from town to town, working one odd job to the next, until they found their way to Anchorage. It didn't matter where they went, anyways--they knew someone always had eyes on them, keeping track of them, giving them instructions whenever it was deemed necessary

What happened to Aurelia some might call a 'new lease on life.' They personally felt as if they were a monster who was ready to go into a radge at any moment--however, this new life sentence also came with it's perks. The moment Relia had woken up, they'd felt different. Suddenly, they knew things--they knew things that they shouldn't. Or they knew that certain things were going to happen before they did. Whatever these people had done to Aurelia, making them a tool to use for whatever they wished, they'd also given them a gift--the gift of knowing

As they adjusted to their new life, they became more in touch with spirituality--it seemed only right, given that, even in such a fucked up situation, they had been given a second chance and it needed to be appreciated. Though they'd never been religious or spiritual before, they decided to become a witch and work spiritual practices into their every day life

Though they made some good friends, they kept to themselves a lot, still unable to trust anyone. In fact, it even took a long time for them to trust Cyrek, someone who was now one of their closest friends and confidants

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

In the past five years, Aurelia has really come into their own and started to heal from everything they'd been through. They are now a proud owner of not one but two businesses: Relia is a wedding planner and they own their own metaphysical shop, Aurelia's Trance, where they do tarot readings

They were able to reunite with their long lost sister, Bambi, who seems to have the same affliction as Aurelia. The sisters were able to grow close again, though Relia still blames themselves for what happened to Bambi. They were also able to reunite with their sister, Pixie. All three sisters are as thick as thieves once more and Aurelia has vowed that they will never lose them again

Once Aurelia was able to remember more of what happened back in Manchester, they were able to confirm that Sera did in fact die that day. Though it's become more bearable over the years, Aurelia is still heartbroken over the loss of their first love

Last year, Relia finally opened themselves up to someone else and began to date Andrea Weber. However, soon after things began to get serious, Aurelia cut it off, afraid to open themselves up like that to someone again. With little to no explanation, Relia ended it and spent the next year avoiding Andrea wherever they went, unable to face her. However, Aurelia is still in love with her and wants to find a way to fix things, they're just scared

Over all, Aurelia is a very kind and caring person but they're also very closed off and do not trust others easily
